ITINERARY IN DETAIL Day 01

Arrive Naples - Onto Amalfi Coast Amalfi coast, Italy Welcome to Italy the land of the Mystique! On arrival in Naples, proceed to the train station for your train to Salerno.

Travel by train to Salerno.

Arrive Salerno and proceed to the coastal beach town of Amalfi by a ferry or public coach.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the fabulous scenery and stunning panorama of the bay.

Day 02

Amalfi Coast

Spend the day at leisure. Discover the natural beauty of this charming fishing village with cliffs terraced with scented lemon groves which sheer down into the sparkling seas; whitewashed villas which cling precariously to unforgiving slopes while sea and sky merge in one vast blue horizon. Or spend the day relaxing by the crystal waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Breakfast Day 03

Amalfi Coast - Rome Rome, Italy This morning, transfer from hotel in Amalfi Coast to Salerno train station on your own by a Ferry or Public Coach.

On arrival in Salerno, travel by train to the Eternal City of Rome.

On arrival in Rome transfer on your own to the hotel. Rome is more than a fascinating European capital city; it is a spectacular encyclopedia of living history. The whole experience of Rome is so powerful as to be almost overwhelming at times.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this magnificent city (on your own). Why not discover the grandeur of the historical attractions of Rome at night on an optional Illuminated Rome Tour.

Rome

Rome Open Bus tour (Seat in Coach).

Today, explore Rome at your own pace on an extensive hop-on hop-off itinerary through the heart of Rome. The buses are open top which allows you to enjoy full 360 degree panoramic views as you travel along your route, with a commentary in 6 languages, and departures every 15 minutes. Your ticket allows you 17 stops in the most beautiful, cultural and evocative areas of the Eternal city. See major sights such as the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Vatican City, Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Palatine Hill, Piazza Venezia and lots more.

Day 05

Rome - Florence Florence, Italy This morning, transfer to the train station for your train to Florence.

Travel by train from Rome to Florence.

On arrival in Florence, the birth Place of Renaissance, proceed to your hotel. Also known as the city of Lily, the fame of Florence rests on its age-old image as the Italian hub of Renaissance art and architecture in Europe. With statues and sculptures dotting the piazzas, domes and towers surpassing the height of the sky, palatial palazzo dominating the cityscape, Florence is a beautiful gallery full of gleam and glory, in itself.

Enjoy an excursion to Pisa (Seat in Coach).

This afternoon, embark on a splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. After a panoramic drive along the beautiful riversides, the tour proceeds with a guided tour to Piazza dei Miracoli to find the celebrated Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, an unequalled masterpiece of Romanesque art carried out between the 11th and 12th centuries, the Baptistery and other important monuments. You will then walk to Piazza dei Cavalieri, where the Scuola Normale, one of the most famous universities in the world, resides.

Florence - Venice Venice, Italy This morning, transfer to the train station for your train to the magical city of Venice.

Travel by train from Florence to Venice. Venice is just as romantic and beautiful as it looks in travelogues and movies. The piazzas and singing gondoliers, the idiosyncratic buildings and water taxis are all there to be seen, admired and photographed for posterity.

On arrival in Venice, transfer to the hotel.

Venice

Excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello (Shared Boat).

This morning, enjoy an excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello. Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops. The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. You'll see the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the church of Santa Fosca.

Venice - Milan Milan, Italy This morning, transfer to the train station in Venice Today, travel by train to the global fashion and designed capital of the world, Milan.

On arrival in Milan, transfer to the hotel.

Hop on Hop tour of Milan (Seat in Coach).

Later in the afternoon explore Milan at your own on Hop On Hop Off Tour and see the most interesting sites of the city including the Duomo, Milan's most famous landmark.
