ITINERARY IN DETAIL Day01

Arrive Gwalior Welcome to your 'Heritage of Madhya Pradesh' tour! On arrival at the airport / railway station in Gwalior, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a half day city tour of Gwalior (Private). In the afternoon, proceed on a half day city tour of Gwalior visit Teli Ka Mandir, a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Dated between the 8th and 11th centuries, this 30 metre tall temple is the oldest surviving structure within the fort. It exhibits a fusion of Nagara and Dravidian styles of architecture and is influenced by Buddhist ideas. It is touted as the oldest surviving structure within the Gwalior Fort. Later, visit Sas Bahu ka Mandir, also recognised as the Sahastrabahu Temple which is found inside the Gwalior Fort. Credited to King Mahipala from the Kachchhwaha dynasty, the structure dates back to 1902. The temple is considered to be one of the greatest architectural marvels situated at the Gwalior Fort., Post sightseeing, return to the hotel. Pickup

Gwalior - Orchha (123 km / approx. 3 hours drive) Transfer from hotel in Gwalior to hotel in Orchha, en route visit Phool Bagh, Sunder Mahal and the Cenotaph at Kanchana Ghat (Private). Today morning, proceed to Orchha. En route visit the Phool Mahal - the beautiful well-kept garden built by the royal rulers of the Bundelkhand dynasty, Sunder Mahal - he place of pilgrimage for followers of Islam and the cenotaphs at Kanchana Ghat - built in the memory of the rulers of Orchha. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Pickup

Visit Jahangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and Chaturbhuj Temple (Private). Later, proceed to visit Jahangir Mahal, built by Raja Bir Singh Judeao. The Mahal houses domes built according to Timurid customs, with halls huge enough to accommodate war elephants. Thereafter, visit the Raj Mahal, also referred to as 'Raja Mahal', one of the most popular tourist destinations in Orchha. The most striking feature of the palace is the chhatris and coloured mural paintings that make up the interiors. Lastly, visit Chaturbhuj Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is designed to bear resemblance to the four arms of Lord Vishnu. Pickup

Orchha - Khajuraho (173 km / approx. 4 hours drive) Today after breakfast, proceed to Khajuraho, one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. It has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculptures. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Enjoy a temple tour of Khajuraho (Private). Later, proceed to visit the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also explore the temples in the eastern and southern groups. In this eastern cluster of temples of Khajuraho, you will be visiting the Parshvanatha Temple, the Ghantai Temple and the Adinatha Temple. In the Southern region, you will be visiting the Chaturbhuj Temple and the Dulhadev Temple.
