ITINERARY IN DETAIL Day01
Arrive Srinagar
Welcome to your 'Glorious Kashmir - Summer' tour! On arrival at the airport in Srinagar, you will be met and transferred to your houseboat in Srinagar. When we think of Kashmir, the first thing that comes to our Mind is 'Houseboats'. Staying on a Houseboat means like living in Paradise, an experience one is not likely to find anywhere else on the surface of the earth. In the evening, enjoy a romantic Shikara ride on the Dal lake. On to Pahalgam (97 kms / approx. 4 hours drive)
Today, proceed towards Pahalgam, the 'Valley of Shepherds' which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from the River Lidder and Sheshnag Lake, en route visit the Awantipura Ruins. The ancient township of Awantipura founded by King Awantiwarman (855-883 AD) is renowned for the impressive ruins of the two temple complexes he built here in the 9th century namely Awantisvamin, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and Avantisvara, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Both the temples reflect Greek style of architecture. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Overnight in Pahalgam (B) Day03
In Pahalgam - Excursion to Chandanwari
Today, post breakfast,visit Chandanwari, situated at a distance of 16 - km from Pahalgam. At Chandanwari, the Sheshnag river is captivating with its sheer force and clear waters. You can get an opportunity to do sledge up to the fifth point which is also a route that yatris take to reach the Amarnath Cave. 'Snow fights' is what people generally indulge in here before they sledge back down. Later, visit Betaab Valley - located on the way to Chandanwari. Note: This excursion is subject to road, weather conditions and military permission. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Pahalgam (B) Day04
On to Gulmarg (148 kms / approx. 5 hour drive)
This morning, proceed to Gulmarg- the 'Meadow of Flowers' an apt term for this idyllic flower - laden spot, offering a spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees. On arrival check in to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure. One can take a leisurely stroll across the green meadows to one of the world's highest Golf Course Or can opt for a fun-filled ride in the Gondola (on direct payment basis). On to Srinagar (52 kms / approx. 2 hours drive) Today, post breakfast, drive to Srinagar. On arrival check-in to your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Srinagar visiting places like the Shankaracharya Temple, Chashme Shahi gardens, Shalimar Gardens and Nishat Bagh. Shankaracharya Temple, situated at a height of about 1,100 ft. on a hilltop on the southeast of the city, offers splendid views of the valley and the snow-capped mountains of the Pir Panjal range. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is believed that this Hindu temple was built in 371 BC, making it one of the oldest in the valley of Kashmir. Chashme Shahi, an ancient garden established in 1632 by Emperor Shah Jahan, is considered to be one of the smallest Mughal

gardens in Srinagar. Divided into three different sections with an aqueduct, waterfalls and fountains, it provides magnificent views of the Himalayas and the Dal Lake. Shalimar Gardens (also known as garden of love), situated 15 km from Srinagar, is one of the most popular Mughal gardens in the city. It has four terraces, rising one above the other, fitted with fountains and chinar (sycamore) trees. Nishat Garden is situated on the banks of the picturesque Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains forming its backdrop. Also known as the garden of bliss, it was laid out in 1633 by Asaf Khan, the elder brother of Nur Jahan. Designed in Persian style, this is a 12-terrace garden interspersed with fountains, colourful flowerbeds and lush green lawns. Overnight in Srinagar (B) Day06
In Srinagar * Excursion to Sonmarg (80 kms / approx. 3 hours drive)
Today, embark on a full day excursion tour to Sonmarg; admirably known as the 'meadow of gold'. Sonmarg, an alpine valley is situated at the bank of Nallah Sindh River. Sindh River indulges you in an activity of fishing especially during summers. This river bed is a popular breeding ground for trout and mahseer fishes. The rest of the evening is at leisure Or one can opt for an optional ride on a pony (on direct payment basis). Overnight in Srinagar. (B) Day07

All sightseeing is subject to weather conditions, political conditions in the destination. In Gulmarg and Sonmarg, the vehicle will be stopped at a pre-designated parking place by the local taxi / pony union. From the parking area guests will have to walk or take ponies on direct payment Travel Insurance, included in our package cost is valid for age group upto 80 years only. For age group beyond 80 years, rules, terms and conditions of the insurance company will apply. The same needs to be checked on case to case basis with the insurance company. In Sonamarg and Gulmarg ÃÂ the vehicle will drop you at one point and from there you have to go for optional activities on your own. In Pahalgam sightseeing is done only by local union vehicles. Local Non-Air conditioned vehicle will be provided for Chandanwari excursion. All the prices are for Indian Nationals only, unless specified.
