It has been our goal to bring you a wide array of choices in our selection. We have assembled these bulls with one thought in mind - would we use these bulls ourselves? The answer is a definite yes. As breeders of registered Red Angus cattle ourselves, we know there are good bulls out there you may not be able to get at the corporate AI studs. We also know from the breeder’s perspective how hard it is to promote your own program without a sizable investment. It is our goal to help breeders promote their program without breaking the bank. Some of the bulls listed are proven sires that have earned their place in the history books of the Red Angus breed. There are also some young bulls listed we believe will, without question, make their mark for years to come. Regardless of whether you are looking for a strictly calving ease sire or a bull that excels in growth, carcass, maternal or a combination of all of these traits, we feel confident you will find a bull that will suit your needs. In the 2012 Mile High sale in Denver, Absolute Power was 1/2 of the high selling lot for the day where 11 progressive breeders pooled their resources and purchased 1/2 interest in him and his maternal brother for $22,500. This exciting young herd sire posts exceptional growth & carcass numbers ranking in the top 15% WW, 8%YW, 23% MARB and 13% REA. His dam has become the cornerstone cow for the Rich Red Angus ET program, generating well over $120,000 through her progeny as well as placing her daughters in the Et program as well. His first calves will hit the ground in the spring of 2013, we expect them to be very nice phenotypically with excellent growth and performance.

The other half of the high selling lot in the 2012 Mile High sale, where he and his maternal brother were sold for $22,500 for 1/2 interest in both bulls. Grand Champion Red Angus bull at Olds Fall Classic, Farmfair International and Canadian Western Agribition earned 646Y the title of Canadian Red Angus Show Bull of the year. To end his show career he won the RBC Supreme Champion bull at Agribition. Then went on to become “The Champion of the World” in the Angus Breeders.net competition. Longitude may be the Canadian National Red Angus Champion bull but the best part of this bull are his offspring. Visitors to Redrich Farms have selected seven different daughters as their favorite. A March daughter was Grand Champion Heifer calf and Reserve Champion Female in the Farmfair Junior show. A February born heifer calf won her class at the National Red Angus Show in Edmonton. A January daughter was the third high seller at Canadian Red Round-Up and two daughters were selected to go to Mexico. The sons of Longitude are equally impressive with a February bull winning Red Angus “Legend of the Fall,” at Farmfair. A January son was Reserve Champion bull calf at the Provincial Beef Heifer Show, Canadian All Breeds Show and Alberta Junior Angus show. A March born son was Reserve Champion Junior bull calf at Olds Fall Classic. We have not seen this depth and quality in the first set of calves from a sire.
