We would like to thank you for your interest and we are sincerely grateful to be in this business. We are as excited as everyone else in the industry right now with the unprecedented record highs. We have had a lot of growth again this year. This opportunity came about from three respectable breeders in the Angus Industry. Last spring we got some pairs and bred heifers from Todd & Debbie David of Rocky Mountain Red Angus. Also at that same time we got some pairs from Najeb & Lila Krameddine of K-DEEN Angus Farm. You will see some of the yearling bulls in the sale with different tattoo’s and they are from both these breeders and they came to us as calves at the side of their mothers. And late last fall we picked up some cows and bred heifers from Bryan & Sherry Mackenzie of Brylor Ranch. The most exciting part is that all of these animals have only strengthened our herd quality with their strong maternal traits and capability to put the power and production into their calves, and we hope that you guys are the first ones to experience this. We hope this takes us to the next level of what we can offer you in our genetics. We never want to stop improving and get stagnant.

With all of this growth there are definitely some growing pains and we feel them, but we never give up on our personal mission to improve on everything in our business from start to finish. From cattle nutrition to herd management to our selection criteria. Every year we are striving for continual improvement and we hope that you see that in our bulls on offer this spring.

It is truly an honor and a blessing to be involved with such good people as Hugh & Jo are. The passion and exuberance they show towards the cattle industry is a breath of fresh air as they charge forward... and let me tell you, they are moving onward and upward and have everyone’s attention right now in the Angus World – both Red & Black!! They are dedicated to this breed and want to keep fueling the industry with as good a product as they can produce. I’ve been to the ranch twice now – once in September and once in January – and each time I’ve whacked out 20 bulls from the Bull Sale pens. Our top Black bull that we have used for the past several years. He was a monumental herd bull for the Geis herd and later a 1/2 interest in him sold to KBJ Round at Clyde for $28,000. He’s an impressive son of the best breeding Black Angus bull in Canada, HF Kodiak 5R. He made such an impact on us here at Bar 4A that we even purchased his full sister at the Geis dispersal.
