that you have put in us to supply your breeding bulls very seriously. We need you and hope that you need us. We keep our customers priorities in mind when making our breeding decisions to ensure that you achieve your breeding goals.

Our focus has been to supply breeding bulls to the commercial rancher. We start from the ground up with feet and legs as a priority. We take a balanced approach to our genetic selection where we select for multiple traits in our herd sires. Our cows work for us under strict ranch conditions. We expect each and every female to raise a marketable calf each year and get bred back in a 60day breeding period while maintaining body condition. We have no time to mess with udders. We want calves that are born easy and get up sucking within a short time. Our ranch is located in the extreme southwest corner of Alberta. Our cows are accustomed to extreme conditions. They graze in deep snow, travel rugged terrain, and also live alongside large carnivores including grizzly bears, & wolves where they need to be good footed and sound to survive. Through all of this, docility is extremely important as all of the cows spend a night in the barn during our February calving season where the calves are all tagged, & weighed before heading straight back out to winter fields.

We are pleased with the bulls that we have on offer this year. As you’ve come to expect, they are a uniform set with many half brothers available. We continue to receive many compliments on the temperament of the bulls. They are handled with both horses and on foot. The genetics are predictable from over 60 years of selection with the added reliability of genomic enhanced epd’s using the Angus GS genomic test on every bull in the sale. They have been fed responsibly and will be ready to go. Please join us on Saturday March 18th at 1:00 in Fort Macleod where the bulls will be sold live through the ring in the same sale barn where they have sold for the last 51 sales. A complimentary lunch will be served prior to the sale. We will also offer live online bidding available through DLMS.
