A Word From the Director… Dear CPA Preschool Parents, Preschool is where learning begins on our beautiful campus! I am honored you are considering CPA Preschool for your child. The preschool years are a time filled with growth, exploration, increasing independence, celebration, fun, joy, and so many “firsts”. At CPA Preschool, we immerse children in an environment that is purposeful and productive and encourages them to take spiritual, social, physical, and academic steps that build confidence and character. As part of our program, children learn through technology, music, foreign language, science, visual art, and performing arts. These enrichment offerings work together with our core curriculum to develop the whole child. Our goal is to encourage and nurture each individual as they develop their relationship with God—and, in turn, begin to discover and develop confidence in their God-given gifts. Again, thank you for considering CPA Preschool! We look forward to becoming your child’s “first” teachers, during these wondrous, fragile, and important years. It is truly a joy and a privilege to help our boys and girls begin to discover how they are designed and who they are destined to become. Peace be with you,

Kelly Fuller CPA Preschool Director

CPA Preschool Class Descriptions

Twos

Twos thrive when they are in a loving and supportive environment that affirms each child’s worth by honoring the reality that each child is created in the image of God. At CPA, we encourage them to explore and discover under the careful supervision and direction of teachers who encourage and cherish the child’s accomplishments. The curriculum for our Twos is based on the unique daily experience and includes child-initiated and teacher-directed play and exploration. Monthly themes are used to carefully introduce God, the Catechism, language skills, sensory awareness, colors, manipulatives, selfexpression and stories.

Threes & Fours

Threes and Fours (Preschoolers) are ready to expand their horizons and begin achieving all God has planned for them! They desire to seek out information, explore new territory, and make sense of our Godly world. Through child-centered classrooms, teachers encourage children to learn, explore interests, and marvel in creativity. Because teachers respect children and their work, children’s self images are bolstered. Classroom activities follow our theme-based curriculum with an emphasis on God, the Catechism, letters, numbers, shapes, colors, language, writing and reading skills. Classrooms are arranged in learning centers, and activities are teacher-directed but allow flexibility for children to independently explore areas of interest. This unique environment will help children develop spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically, while also enhancing their self-confidence preparing them for PreKindergarten and the world.

Pre-K

Pre-K program includes a more in-depth study of the Catechism, emergent reading and language arts/phonics, emergent math, science, and social studies. Nothing prepares your child for success in elementary school like a strong pre-kindergarten experience where academics and social development are paired with physical well-being and creative expression. At CPA, we guide and instruct students using a balance of group activities, individual attention, and a strong emphasis on reading and math. Teachers use multiple forms of ongoing assessment to evaluate students’ performance and development in different learning domains and share progress with parents throughout the year. The ultimate goal is for students to experience the joy of learning, loving, and living together to the glory of the One who made them.

Statement of Faith

The constitution of Christ Presbyterian Academy states that our school is committed to the education of the children of Christ Presbyterian Church as well as, space permitting, the children of other professing Christians. Our admissions policy further states that at least one parent of each student must be a professing Christian. While we come from diverse spiritual backgrounds, our desire is to be unified around the most important element of the faith— the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. The following presents the spiritual tenets of our school:

Two Days / Week: $210 per month Three Days / Week: $310 per month Five Days / Week: $710 per month

*Tuition rates for 2014-2015 will be available in January 2014.

Tuition obligations may be paid in full by August 1, 2014. Additionally, CPA offers options through FACTS Tuition Management for those who wish to pay tuition in installments. Families may choose a three-payment plan or a monthly-payment plan. A one-time service fee will be applied to cover the cost to the Academy for this highly-beneficial installment plan.

• We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy

Spirit is absolutely essential and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works. • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works. • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
