amily-run door and accessory supplier Multiwood, was founded in 1987. Fast approaching its third decade in the industry, the Bury-based business has established long-standing relationships with world-class manufacturers in Europe. This has resulted in the very best products and materials being sourced and supplied to its customers. The company’s central focus has always been its customers and how best to service their needs. Offering a wide range of choice and flexibility, Multiwood has launched five

new door ranges over the last 12 months and a wealth of additions to it’s existing designs and in-house, bespoke painting options. Welford and Haddington – two of the company’s most popular ranges – have been extended to include 16 bespoke gloss colours. Sourced directly from Italy, Gloss has a lead-time of 25-days, whilst bespoke Matt options are painted in-house and can be with you in just 15 days. Currently underway is a 20,000sq ft expansion of the warehouse. This investment will enable Multiwood to hold more stock

and offer a broader product portfolio. New delivery options are available, including multiple deliveries per week, thanks to on-going investment in the company’s fleet. The First Impressions brand is another major investment point for Multiwood. The new consumer website, which was recently launched, has been designed to drive footfall to retailers that display Multiwood products. Recognising the greater demand for branded products, Multiwood is also offering its customers the opportunity to become First Impressions retailers.

t has been three years since British manufacturer, Sylmar Technology launched its minerva® range of solid surface worktops in the UK but, with the introduction of four new décors, the handfinished collection has never been more relevant to kitchen and bathroom design. Each new décor has been created in the company’s Derbyshire-based premises, to complement current door designs and décor trends. The non-porous material, which can also be used as part of an integrated sink design, complementary splashbacks, upstands, plinths, hot rods or chopping boards, replicates the look and feel of natural stone without the impractical downsides. Working alongside its distribution partners to launch the new finishes, Caramel Crunch, Copper Fleck, Grey Crystal and Sparkling White, have been designed to work in both contemporary and traditional settings and incorporate the on-going use of metallic effects, greys and exotic woods in the kitchen and bathroom industry. Manufactured in the East Midlands and distributed UK-wide, the minerva® range of solid surface products come with a 10 year guarantee against manufacturing defects and the prestigious FIRA Gold Award. Sylmar Technology supports the retailer with A4 brochures, printed colour swatches, countertop sample displays, POS materials and a dedicated website.

minerva® Caramel Crunch offers warming shades of buttery caramel syrup blended with coffee, milk and ice

minerva® Copper Fleck features a creamy white base. Copper Fleck balances particulates of grey and mid-brown alongside shiny elements of copper and mother of pearl

I Schüller’s Rocca range in natural look woodgrain adds texture and contrasts with strong dark colours to clearly define the structure of the cabinetry

The Finca range is part of Schüller’s comprehensive Country collection, combining sought after German design and quality, with a traditional style kitchen perfect for the country estate.

t is said age is just a number, but when you have achieved as much as Schüller has in 50 years, it’s time to celebrate. That’s exactly what 5,000 guests did at Schüller’s Herrieden HQ in June to celebrate not just Schüller’s Golden anniversary, but their phenomenal achievements as a leading global exporter of kitchens. The success story began in 1966 when Otto Schüller founded Schüller Möbelwerk KG. Following the first buffet kitchen, built-in kitchens began to be manufactured in 1971. Today, Schüller employs over 1,400 people and remains a family owned and run business. Founder Otto and Stella Schüller are active board members, alongside three family members. Otto’s son Markus Schüller is Managing Director, with Directors Max Heller and Manfred Niederaurer. Their unequivocal commitment to delivering extraordinary quality and impeccable customer service has resulted in a company that customers trust and respect. For the UK, the story began in 2003, when InHouse became Schüller’s UK agent. In just 13 years, InHouse has helped make Schüller one of the UK’s most recognisable brands, with an impressive network of over 220 independent retailers. Wayne Dance, MD of InHouse, spoke at the celebrations saying, “The success of the UK is not down to an individual. It’s being part of a team that looks after our 220 Schüller retailers. Schüller is a fantastic company to be a part of, and their 50th anniversary is a great occasion to celebrate the role that we have all played in making the company such a success.” At KBB 2016, InHouse announced its vision for independent retailers. To have the strength of a global brand that is instantly recognisable, highly respected and soughtafter by consumers, together with the autonomy to continue in building their own local reputation.

ounded in 1989, TKC is one of the UK’s leading specialist suppliers of doors, accessories and components to the kitchen and bedroom industry. TKC’s name is synonymous with quality products, first class service and excellent value for money. The pre-fitted cam and dowel design on TKC’s new ‘Quickcab’ cabinets means that a standard 12-unit kitchen can be assembled in 25 minutes, giving installers an estimated time saving of up to 75%. Quickcab cabinets come with TKC’s standard specification of an 18mm board and 18mm solid back panel on the base unit, and can be assembled in two minutes due to their innovative design, compared with 7½ to ten minutes for a standard flat-pack cabinet. The Quickcab cabinets are available in stone grey, designed to coordinate with TKC’s six grey and anthracite kitchen doors to reflect the trend for these neutral tones in interiors, which shows no signs of slowing. Says Neil Taggart, Marketing Manager at TKC: “Our innovative new Quickcab cabinets are effectively the ‘missing link’ between flat pack and rigid cabinets, using the cam and dowel construction trusted by fitters. Anything that saves fitters and retailers time without compromising on quality is a great benefit, so we are confident that this product will prove a popular choice as a quality, time-saving and value for money cabinet option.” Quickcab cabinets are now on display in the newly-refurbished trade-only showroom at TKC’s Denton headquarters, to demonstrate how quick and easy they are to assemble. A new, four-page brochure is available now which includes the technical specification and pricing of the cabinets. A short video showing the speed and simplicity of assembly is available to view by visiting the TKC website www.tkcomponents.co.uk

GGER is one of the leading manufacturers of wood-based panels in Europe. With a solid reputation based on predicting interior trends and market movement, the company has been at the forefront of product innovation for over 60 years. It’s recent multi-million investment in new product lines in the UK and Europe and the use of computer-controlled printing plates, has seen Egger’s latest décors come to life. The carefully curated Feelwood collection offers 10 authentic, deeply textured finishes that boasts deep knots, cracks and sawcuts. EGGER believes that bringing the ten premium MFC décors together with perfectlymatching laminates and ABS edging in one collection will make it easier for designers

and specifiers. EGGER’s head of décor development Elliott Fairlie explains, “Whether it’s an on-trend kitchen, a hotel bedroom or an office interior, demand for something that looks and feels like real wood continues to grow. But the advantage our products have, apart from price, is that you get surfaces that are durable, sustainable, maintenancefree and offer colour continuity now and in the future.” EGGER is the first wood panel manufacturer to offer synchronised pore – where the textured finish aligns with the grain itself – across all of its boards. The Feelwood collection includes hardwearing laminates, ABS end-grain edging and sleek compact laminates as well as melaminefaced chipboard.

Feelwood is available in ten décors, some brand new introductions and others a fresh take on popular classics – including H1180 ST37 Natural Halifax Oak, H1181 ST37 Tobacco Halifax Oak and H3342 ST28 Sepia Gladstone Oak. But common to them all is the authenticity theme – reflected in EGGER’s advertising strapline for the new range: “What if I told you this wasn’t real timber….” Available double-sided with both surfaces deeply textured, the Feelwood Elegance ST27 and Feelwood Nature ST28 décors also have a single-sided option with a non-synchronised reverse for where a lower cost product is required.

fter detailed negotiations, BA Components has finalised the acquisition of ‘Uniclic® for furniture technology’. BA Components has signed a license agreement for the ‘Uniclic® for furniture technology’, along with the ongoing and future production of all Clic components and ClicBox to existing Unilin customers that are based in the UK and Ireland. This has resulted in a brand new company, BA Clic Components, which will focus its attentions on the revolutionary 100% tool-less kitchen cabinet system. The new company, which will operate out of newly purchased factory premises in Rotherham South Yorkshire, will now be responsible for the total sales, promotion and marketing activities of Clic Components and ClicBox and will actively promote the product range through current and new distributors and stockists. A dedicated workforce has also been established and the very latest production equipment installed and commissioned to progress the ClicBox brand. To kick things off, BA Clic Components has launched ‘Join the Kitchen Cabinet Revolution’ with BA ClicBox and they are confident that this modern concept and truly innovative product range will appeal to many markets; merchant groups, kitchen fitters, dealers, builders and prove to be a revolution in the kitchen manufacturing and construction industry.

The innovative 100% tool-less kitchen cabinet system allows furniture panels to be clicked together and fixed at an angle of 90 degrees without the need for screws or tools – significantly reducing the time and skill needed to build a cabinet.

The groundbreaking system provides more strength and more stability than is possible with a standard cabinet because, instead of two or three fixing points, the entire edge of each panel creates an invisible locking joint

f you’ve ever noticed that your shower enclosure glass has a green hue, then this is a bathroom transformation that you’ll love: To celebrate the launch of PureVueHD high quality, optically superior, low-iron glass, UK-based Lakes Bathrooms has introduced ultra-clear glass as standard on shower enclosures, doors and bath screens in both its Classic and Coastline Collection. PureVueHD has minimal iron content, so the glass appears clear, rather than green. This is because very high transmission levels, of around 90 per cent, enable as much light as possible to pass through PureVueHD glass, making the bathroom appear lighter and brighter. Whereas with standard glass the iron content reduces light transmission, which creates the green tinge that tints everything viewed through it. This dramatically clearer glass allows your bathroom’s colour palette to be viewed with untainted accuracy: Colours, sharpness and enhanced clarity are the difference that PureVueHD makes in the bathroom, just as high definition TV brings pure and vivid quality to your living room. Whilst low-iron glass can cost as much as a 50 per cent more, Lakes Bathrooms is supplying it as standard; without adding to its prices and is now part of most of its products. Adding to the clarity, Lakes Bathrooms treats both sides of it Classic and Coastline products with stay-clean AllClear® coating as standard, to maximise the clear PureVueHD advantage.

itrA’s rich heritage can be traced back to 1909, when renowned Turkish pharmacist, Süleyman Ferit Eczacıbas,ı began producing bathing and cologne products. Within a few years, the Eczacibas,i vision had grown further still, and with the establishment of Turkey’s first ceramic sanitaryware factory in 1958, VitrA was born. Today, Vitra supplies millions of pieces of ceramic sanitaryware from 15 of its manufacturing facilities and boasts a powerful distribution network and exports to over 75 countries on five continents. Recently, the company has unveiled its advanced WC which combines the functionality of a toilet and cleaning properties of a bidet whilst offering an impressive WC design and increased comfort; V-care. The V-care WC quite simply provides the optimum cleaning experience from the comfort and convenience of a WC. The hightech WC is available in two variations; the premium Comfort option or the entry level Essential option. The high-tech WC features a special self-cleaning nozzle which offers the user numerous personalised washing options controlled via a remote. The user can adjust the intensity, temperature and direction of the water, and front and rear washing is available. Those with a V-care Comfort model can select a drying function, which can also be adjusted to a temperature to suit. This innovative design has been created by the design studio NOA, who has produced several ranges for VitrA. The fixtures and electronic parts of the WC are all concealed so that it looks just like a regular toilet. Its stylish cover is also just 5.5cm thick. The V-care WC is completely hygienic; the nozzle automatically cleans itself before and after each use. The WC itself is also incredibly hygienic as it has a rimless interior which means that there are no crevices for dirt to become trapped. The exterior of the WC also has flush sides for a completely sleek and easy to clean surface. The Comfort model also automatically opens as you approach the WC for completely hands-free usage. The efficient V-care WC uses 3/6lt for flushing and it has three different modes for energy-saving.

Four versions of the Showery linear are available, all featuring a four-way fall so that all sides slope towards the drain.

M The Marmox showery is robust enough to allow mosaic tiles as small as 50mm to be laid on it without the risk of compression through point loading.

The Showerlay can be easily xcut into most sizes or shapes and forms a floor level, barrier-free panel ready to receive tiles.

armox (UK) Ltd, part of the Marmox Group, provides competitive insulation and waterproofing products for use in the construction and refurbishment industries. With over 40 years of experience in design, manufacturing, specification and marketing of construction materials, the company’s policy is to respond positively to customers’ requirements and to meet their specific needs and specifications. In line with market demands and current trends, the compressive range has been built on the success of the original Marmox Board. As a tile backer board, it provides an effective decoupling layer to prevent tiles and grout from cracking. The unique patented surface allows tiles of a much heavier weight to be safely and securely fixed to walls. Being completely impermeable to water, the design is doubly useful in tiled areas prone to moisture such as kitchens and bathrooms where it can act as a moisture barrier protecting the walls and floor. The UK-based manufacturer also offers easy-to-install waterproof wetroom bases, shower channels and Showerstone, a solid shower base that can be laid directly onto floor joists without further support needed. It’s also strong enough to support a load of 600kg. A bath panel kit completes the lineup, offering a simple way to install bath panels. Easily cut to the correct length, the height is adjusted using the feet supplied. The panels are completely waterproof and ready to be tiled once fitted.
