How low can you go? The new 14 place setting Ultima FDUD4411 dishwasher and Luce LFT32147H dishwasher from Hotpoint both need just seven litres of water for a full wash. The saving is achieved by storing the last rinse water for use in the next wash cycle. Also available this spring are A++ models that use just ten litres of water for 14 place settings. These machines use a fan to dry dishes so there is no need for the final super hot rinse. All of the new dishwashers feature Flexiload interiors for easier stacking. 08000 921 922 www.hotpoint.co.uk www.lucebyhotpoint.co.uk

review

The ebullient Wayne Dance was in full flow on the Schuller stand where the fabulous next125 NX902 was on show in the UK for the first time. The tempered glass doors are available in a satin opaque finish or in high gloss Lava Black, Polaris White, Magnolia and Stone Grey. The doors are finished with a metal edge. 01661 842 304 www.inhouseuk.net

Unusually the show was stronger on kitchens than it was on bathrooms. The kitchen end of the exhibition was busy and featured some good quality stands and clever new ideas. Here we have selected some of the best – find the rest on pages 14, 15 and 16.

kbb 2012

There was a real European look to Nolte’s elegant stand where the new Chalet Oak carcase was launched, taking the choice available from Nolte to 17. Trend Lack shown in Azzurro and Rosso with white was eye catching and featured an edge applied using a laser edging technique. Convex doors in a choice of heights and widths were another highlight. Bob Marsden, UK Country Manager for Nolte Kuchen says the show was a great opportunity for potential customers to see the quality of the Nolte product first hand. 07557 922044 www.nolte-kitchens.com

There’s never any shortage of bright ideas at CDA. This grill drawer was one of several innovations shown on the stand and is sure to be popular with UK consumers who still yearn for a separate grill. It can be installed below a compact or full size oven or below a worktop. It extends fully for easy loading and unloading and comes complete with a trivet. 01949 862010 www.cda.eu

The Rosieres range was originally launched some years ago when it was named the Bocuse after the king of French gastronomy. KBB2012 saw an update with a new and more contemporary look, multifunction ovens with pyro and catalytic cleaning, a French top, a large wok burner, a rotisserie and two storage drawers. Definitely a range for serious cooks. 0151 334 2781 www.hoover.co.uk

“Join the Mark David Party“ stickers were everywhere – and judging from the general busy-ness of the stand plenty of people took up the invitation. Designs from Brion, Yesteryear and Nolte featured in an open living layout. We liked the Brion Pure handleless in soft matt Kashmir combined with glittery Terra Brown. 01279 868500 www.markdavid.co.uk

STAINLESS STEEL

Hard wearing, ultra hygienic and available at all price points, stainless steel is still the top choice for kitchen sinks.

The sleek, contemporary Nevada from Reginox reflects the trend for deep, angular bowls softened by subtle curves. It features the same eye catching square waste as the Texas range but has the advantage of an integrated drainer. The tight corner radius gives an uncluttered look. Nevada is available as a single bowl and drainer or a 1.5 bowl and drainer and can be undermounted or inset. 01260 280033 www.reginox.co.uk

The Blancoando family has joined the extensive range of undermounts available from Blanco. Tight corner and base radii make a strong style statement and the sink is available in a choice of sizes and formats with optional accessories. Blancoando is also available inset with the Blanco F1 flat edge. 0844 912 0100 www.blanco.co.uk

Perfect for work stations, sinks in the Franke Peak range have pressed bowls with a tight 5mm corner radii and a smart square basket waste. The range features Hygienic Overflow, which has a detachable plate that allows boiling water to be poured down the overflow to destroy bacteria. 0161 436 6260 www.franke.co.uk.

Zentrio can be undermounted, flush mounted or inset and is a really good choice for a utility room. The steel has a satin finish and the sink is supplied with a full plumbing kit. 01978 66070 www.the1810company.co.uk

Rangemaster has made a major investment in its stainless steel plant resulting in new models and improvements across the sink collection. Shown here is the Manhattan low profile stainless steel one and a half bowl model, which has a recessed drainer to prevent spillage. Accessories include a colander, preparation board, acrylic drainer extension and a drainer basket. 0870 755 6485 www.rangemaster.co.uk

Created for Duravit by Sieger Design, the Kiora ceramic sink features framing of the individual work and functional areas and a gently tilted drainer. Kiora is available as a surface-mounted sink or can be inset into the worktop. Whether fitted as a right or left-handed bowl the sink is reversible because of the axial layout of the tap, overflow and pop-up waste control. The centrally positioned outlets and the tap fitting and pop-up waste control in the middle of the sink or on the central section contribute to a balanced appearance. Kiora is also particularly flexible and can have either a large internal bowl or an additional small waste bowl. In addition to the classical sink colours, such as white and Pergamon, Kiora is available in chestnut, matt anthracite and black. It is made in DuraCeram, a hard wearing ceramic material specially developed for Duravit. 0870 730 7787 www.duravit.co.uk

CERAMIC & COMPOSITES

Thanks to increased production in fine fireclay there is now a greater choice of ceramic sinks with contemporary styles joining the traditional chunky Belfast. Composites have continued to develop with many materials that contain real stone.

Shaws of Darwen are the experts when it comes to traditional ceramic sinks. The Original Collection has been extended with the addition of the new Entwistle 800mm single bowl model. It has a three hole overflow and a patterned front. 01254 775111 www.shawsofdarwen.com Unfussy and timeless, the Vero ceramic kitchen sink from Duravit is a practical addition to any kitchen. All Vero kitchen sinks are 445 mm deep so there is enough space for washing even large pots and pans. The sink comes in 445 mm, 545 mm and 745 mm widths and the medium-sized variant is available with an integrated waste bowl. 0870 730 7787 www.duravit.co.uk

The Encore sink is part of Bushboard’s solid surface worktop package and is integrated into the top. Shown here is the single bowl model with the Encore Crystal Black solid surface worktop. The sink is 450mm square and is made from pure white acrylic. A one and a half bowl model is available. Sinks can be installed into the worksurface on site by a trained fitter. Bushboard offers free one day training. 01933 232272 www.bushboard.co.uk

taps Taps with spray heads, taps that deliver water for hot and cold drinks, taps that light up - there’s never been a bigger choice. The 3300 steaming hot water tap from InSinkErator™ will deliver up to 100 cups of near boiling water an hour and has a push lock safety feature. It is available in polished chrome or brushed steel finishes. 0800 389 3715 www.insinkerator.co.uk

Abode has developed the Triana single lever Aquifier filter tap to meet the growing demand for pure drinking water. The Triana has advanced water filtration technology. Filtered water is dispensed by twisting the black ring on the tap body. Hot and cold are controlled using the single lever. The tap is available from summer 2012. 01226 283434 www.abode.eu

The award winning BlancoCulina-S is now available in the UK. This tall, elegant tap has a magnetic hose cradle that instantly releases the spray hose when needed. Carron Phoenix’s Dante Tri-Pure tap has a separate pipe for filtered water so there is no danger of cross contamination. It also features a double charcoal and ceramic filtration system which leaves in beneficial minerals but removes chlorine, particles of sand and grit and bacteria. The tap is finished in chrome. 01324 638321 www.carron.com

Hot drinks on tap Boiling water for drinks and cooking is available instantly from the Minerva tap. It provides hot, cold and boiling water from one unit and is available in Chrome or SilkSteel PVD. The hot water tank can be fitted behind a standard 150mm plinth so does not occupy valuable space in the kitchen. The system includes a water conditioning filter. All that is needed for installation is a 35mm tap hole so the Minerva can be used as a new product or as a replacement for a conventional mixer. “This tap is a real innovation,” says Product Manager John Swain. “It has one spout while many of the others on the market have separate boiling water taps and do not reach 100oC. It is also ultra safe with a safety button that has to be activated before boiling water can be discharged.”

A good value sink and tap offer and instant boiling water for cooking and drinks are just two of Franke’s headline products for Spring.

gger’s product offering has something for everyone. The huge selection of matching products allows customers to identify precisely the right product for the right application at the right price – meaning that budgets can be stretched further which may help to win business. Every single one of the 108 decors on offer from Egger is available from stock in 18mm Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) laminate and edging, making it simple and easy for customers to find exactly what they need. Egger can also manufacture additional thicknesses in MFC and well as Melamine Faced MDF on request. An extended range of edging has now been introduced so that for the first time ever Egger will be able to offer customers a selected range of 0.4 and 0.8mm ABS edging. This can be fabricated either by hand or by using an edge bander. Lightweight boards are growing in popularity and have benefits in both design and installation. Egger offers Eurolight® boards in a range of 38 and 50mm thicknesses. A chunky look combined with low weight and high strength means that Eurolight® is perfectly suited to a range of sectors including retail kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms as well as office furniture and shop fitting. As part of the Zoom® collection, Egger now offers FD30 and FD60 fire door cores that are fire resistant for a minimum of 30 minutes and one hour respectively. Texture is now as important as colour choice. Egger has introduced three new textures focused on making surfaces more tactile and ultimately

12 • KITCHEN JOURNAL APRIL 2012

more natural. The brand new ST10 Authentic texture takes woodgrain decors to the next level and is a very realistic rough matt finish for wood and material reproductions. ST18 Waveline is a new horizontal texture bringing new levels of depth to melamine faced boards and has a very modern solid wood appearance. The high gloss finish ST30 range includes 14 decors available in both MFC and MF–MDF with matching 2mm ABS edging especially suited to uni colours and premium woodgrains. The ST30 range is ideal for carcasses and end panels. Groundbreaking advances have been made in the quality and realism of Egger’s decors, making it possible to offer a competitive, low maintenance alternative to solid wood and real wood veneer products. Egger has updated the Zoom® range which now includes 108 decors, 32 of them brand new. Natural woodgrains and earthy uni colours have become increasingly popular and with this in mind Egger has developed Natural Aragon Oak H1372 ST22 which is seen as a successor to the very popular H1334 Light Ferrara Oak. This elegant oak has a highly defined natural grain with cross fires and subtle planking. Also new is Country Montana Larch H3753 ST22 with warm brown tones that work well with earthy, natural uni colours. Tirano Pearwood H3114 ST9 is a warm, striking decor that is ideal for large applications such as sliding wardrobes and wall panelling. F425 Beige Linen with its ST10 surface texture creates high quality finish that is perfect for furniture design and shop fitting.

Eggers' virtual design studio Distributors have been categorised according to which Egger products they stock and can be either Gold, Silver or Bronze stockists. This allows customers to quickly identify the right distributor – aided by using the newly developed Availability Guide, which tracks down the distributor once the decor, product, structure and thickness have been entered. Egger Virtual Design Studio software allows finished roomsets to be visualised in detail. By creating roomsets with high definition decor scans customers can save time and money on prototype building and photography costs. As well as in house trend forecasting, Egger has commissioned external trend research and offers free in depth reports on what is new and what is likely to come along soon. Trend News will be released three times a year to update customers. The company has also developed sample support sheets that are sent out with requested samples. There is a booklet for each colour world, offering product information, full board scans of the decors and possible colour combinations and alternatives. A new information packed website provides every possible detail and fact. Customers can visit the sample shop and search by texture, colour, tone and colour world. Brochures etc can be requested through the site and order history can be viewed.

A wall chart and swatch box have been developed to aid customers. The wall chart offers RAL, Pantone and NCS information for all uni colours and has full board scans for woodgrain decors. The swatch holder has decors in large sample pieces. 0845 606 8888 www.egger.co.uk

The Franke stand was constantly busy and featured new sinks, taps and hoods. You can see some of the new products on page 11. Franke used the show to launch an updated version of the popular Swing hood, which is available in white and black glass. There is a smart stainless steel band across the front, dimmable spotlights and ghost controls that activate when the user hovers a finger over them. The hood has eight speeds plus intensive, optional remote control, 24 hour continuous ventilation, aluminium cassette grease filters and optional charcoal filters. KBB also marked goodbye to Duncan Marr – for many years the UK face of Franke. Duncan (who once nearly managed to get KJ Editor Jan Orchard and the UK trade press thrown out of a hotel in Switzerland) has been one of the industry’s great characters and will be much missed for his expertise, encyclopaedic knowledge of the kitchen industry and wonderful fund of stories. After a remarkable 37 years of service Duncan is leaving to enjoy his retirement by “maximising his investments and minimising his golf handicap”. He will, however, be referred to on a consultancy basis over the next year or so. The new Managing Director for Franke UK is Tracey Bamber. One of Duncan’s biggest achievements was the first year that Franke achieved £1million in sales – 1976. Although Franke now makes this figure in the first week of each month, Duncan saw this as sign that Franke UK was on the up and it tracks the immense success for which he can be very proud. Michael Pieper, Franke Chief Executive commented, “We thank Duncan Marr for his personal efforts, his good spirit and unique sense of English humour. We congratulate him on his exceptional and enduring performance and express our sincere appreciation for his professionalism." 0161 436 6280 www.franke.co.uk

Different textures, finishes, materials and shapes were shown on the stand in the Murano display. The kitchen was shown in white with glass inserts and a stylish bar top in dark wood. This range shows the flexibility in the schüller.C Collection.

The Castell range is part of the schüller.C Collection and features Knotty Oak vertical grain veneer door fronts with co-ordinating plinths and side panels. Internal cabinetry can be manufactured with matching veneer – raising the game for a mid price kitchen.

Curvy high gloss Gala was a favourite on the stand. This range features Blum soft close hinges. The 2012 colour palette of natural, earthy tones proved extremely popular.

schüller @ kbb2012 "More than worth it" is how Wayne Dance of InHouse describes his KBB experience.

High gloss fronts and decor panels in the Nova range introduce top end finishes at starter prices. The combination of wood effect detailing from the Lima range, a new glass shutter and the 90mm extra thick counter tops combine to show the huge variety of design options available without being restricted by budget.

A

n open, airy European feel attracted a lot of visitors to the Schüller stand. Gala Curves shown in Truffle Brown and Champagne high gloss was a big draw and demonstrated how curves maximise space saving and ergonomics within the kitchen. A new carousel system specifically designed for curved units and maximising space was shown at KBB. Schüller used the show to demonstrate the variety of designs available, ranging from entry point in the schüller.C Collection through mid market ranges up to the height of design luxury with the next125 brand. High gloss in the starter Nova range was a definite talking point. The introduction of gloss finishes has brought a real boost to the fighting end of the market. Further introductions to the schüller.C Collection included the popular glass roller shutter and a new extra deep 900mm bar top, allowing retailers to offer their customers maximum planning options. The glass effect door in the Murano range was teamed with horizontal and vertical glass inserts to show the design flexibility inherent in the schüller.C Collection. Also on show was new manufacturing technology where laminate wood effect doors imitate the tactile quality of real wood by giving a textured feel to the front. The new NX901 high end range shows that top quality design and innovation are available at an affordable price point. This new design showcases the trend for cabinetry with furniture style quality. Beautiful tempered glass doors are available in a satin opaque glass finish or in high gloss. The range is available with a unique inset handle which is cut into the glass front finished with a beautiful smooth grip. An over sized bench style island unit with a sliver thin top cleverly conceals all electrical cables in NX901. This range features the Primus new style drawer box in Anthracite from next125 and LED Swing lighting. It was shown at KBB as a recessed plinth design – the widely anticipated wall hung version will be available later this year. 01661 842304 • www.inhouseuk.net • www.inhousecaribbean.com

ome automation is the new lifestyle trend. Consumers want tv, audio and small appliances ready to hand in the kitchen – but they don’t necessarily want these items visible all the time. Linak presented a number of clever solutions to make hidden storage and instant accessibility easy – whether for a large flat screen tv, a computer or even a condiment rack. Linak DL4 columns are ideal for this sort of application and can be used for many different tasks including lifting a flat screen tv out of a cabinet or adjusting the height of a storage rack. The DL2 single column is ideal for adjusting the height of a breakfast bar and if used as a twin system can lift a larger, heavier area. The LA31 actuator is ideal for raising and lowering wall cabinets. All of these systems use a control box that can control up to four single columns. Columns can also be operated with numerous controls which can be either fixed buttons on the work surface or remote controls. 0121 544 2211 www.linak.co.uk

AK’s wide range of elegant inset ceramic kitchen sinks provides a stylish alternative to stainless steel. Available in white and high gloss black, the collection includes 16 different formats ranging from 1.5 bowl and drainer designs to space saving all in one models. Six sleek Gourmet sinks form part of the range and are available in both single and 1.5 bowl options with smooth or ridged drainers. All designs are reversible and are offered with stainless steel or chromed brass waste kits. For the small luxury kitchen, designs include the Gourmet Sink 17 bowl and drainer and the contemporary Belfast style Gourmet 16 all in one design with integral ledge. Both are suitable for over and undermounting and are offered with chrome sink base protectors and plate/cutlery racks. In addition to the inset options. RAK’s fireclay sink collection also includes a variety of Butler and Belfast sinks, individual bowl designs, specialist sinks and separate drainers. All designs are suitable for both commercial and domestic application and provide a high degree of design flexibility. Fireclay is fired to an intense heat to fuse the glaze and has a glossy, hard finish that is hard wearing and easy to maintain. In partnership with German brassware specialist Kludi, RAK manufactures a dedicated range of four kitchen monoblock mixers with brass bodies and white porcelain handles. Complementary polished porcelain slab upstands, tops, splashbacks and tiles are also available from RAK’s Lounge range, allowing seamless colour co-ordination between walls, worktops and floors. A sleek monotone look can be achieved by contrasting materials. Popular 10 by 10cm wall tiles are included within RAK’s Tip Top and Lotus ranges with colour options that include white, ivory, lemon, grey, black, brown and jade. aul Murray’s system allows solid wood raised panel kitchen doors to be curved. The technology not only lends itself to kitchen doors, but much more including, wooden doors, architrave, skirting etc, all in solid wood and in any species, style, size, shape or profile. As Paul Murray explains, “I was actually making high-end bespoke furniture, and was showing these to buyers when I was challenged to develop a solid wood curved kitchen door. So I did and Curve Craft was born. Because we are a small family run business we offer excellent customer service. If we don't have what a customer wants as standard, we will endeavour to achieve and create what they are looking for.” Curve Craft can produce doors from any wood requested. When a

customer gets in touch the company will ask them to send on a sample of the wood used to make the kitchen. “Oak is fine, but walnut can be challenging, so we need to check the sample against the wood being used to make our additional bespoke curved doors. Therefore when any doors are commissioned we would ask for a wood sample to be sent to ensure a match,” says Paul. The Butler’s Pantry was made in oak with strong cluster markings with walnut for the cornices and pediment. Inside the pantry has storage areas and there are two end cupboards. It would make a stunning focal point in a traditional kitchen – especially as it can be built to match the other furniture. 028 4483 2828 www.curvecraft.co.uk

The 20-20 Technologies suite of products can suit everyone from a single showroom retailer to a multi site corporation. Customers now expect more advanced service and technology from retailers - and 20-20 Fusion software makes it easy to deliver the best from initial contact through to final delivery. KBB2012 was the launch pad for the latest version of 20-20 Fusion and was complemented by seminars for both existing and new customers presenting the highlights of the release - and giving a sneak preview of the next generation of software that will launch later this year. 20-20 Fusion is the result of 25 years of product development and is used by over 50 percent of the KBB sector. Hundreds of manufacturer’s catalogues are integrated into the software so items from multiple sources can be included in any one design. The software gives an added sense of realism by incorporating actual appliances, products and accessories from big brands. Catalogues are regularly updated to ensure that the latest products are

always available and pricing is kept up to date, making budget and profit margin control easier. Prices are automatically generated for all products, based on the specific styles and materials selected and using the appropriate product codes for each item. When the design is complete, detailed quotes, invoices, fitting reports and orders can be produced instantly and can be mailed or faxed instantly to the supplier. “The software creates an incredible gap between an average designer and a good one,” says 20-20 Chief Exec Jean-Francois Grou. “The tools are there to be used to enhance and enable skills. If they have talent and invest time in understanding the capabilities of the tools, then they will create designs that will blow your mind. The software should never be accused of creating the common denominator. Yes, it is true that it will enable someone who is not very talented to put a kitchen together, but it cannot design a kitchen.” 01233 649700 www.2020technologies.com

A CAD presentation gives customers the confidence to make a purchase – and cuts down on misunderstandings and problems at the most expensive point – when the design is complete because they know what they are getting in advance. A CAD system is also invaluable for quotation, ordering and the administration of the order. Consumers these days do expect to see a proper presentation of the retailer’s proposals – and in most cases the only practical way to do this is via CAD. The consumer finds the proposal easy to understand and making alterations is straightforward. All that is needed to run the package is a Windows PC or laptop running Windows 7, Vista or XP with a USB port. Great for breaking up a large space, dividing a dining or living area from the kitchen or to provide extra work space, an island comes high on the wish list for most consumers.

Most customers say they would like an island if possible. Ideas such as open plan storage or a floating breakfast bar on one side can work really well in using the island as a way of both uniting and dividing separate areas. The central island shown here in the NL500 from nextline is the perfect example of pushing design boundaries. – Wayne Dance, MD InHouse.

we ♥islands TOP TIPS FOR ISLAND DESIGN

● A minimum of 1m floor space should be allowed around the island for standard depth units so there is enough room to open doors but 1.2m is preferable ● A breakfast bar would usually be at standard worktop height with an overhang of 300mm. This is ideal for stool height. It can be at a reduced height if chairs are to be used.

The island design in this Trend Lack high gloss lacquer kitchen from Nolte is given an extra design dimension by introducing light wood Savannah Acacia and some interesting open compartments. The island also includes a sink but remember to look at the feasibility of water supply and drainage before you plan one in. 07557 922044 www.nolte-kitchens.com

● An island extractor can be restrictive if the ceiling height is low. The minimum dimension from a gas hob to canopy should be 700mm but this will still seem too low for an island hood. It can be rather obtrusive. Ideally 750 to 800mm is more pleasing but the ceiling height will be the key factor. A flat to ceiling extractor solves the problem.

Neff’s new ceiling mounted 199C68 extractor is unobtrusive and allows ample head room. 0844 892 9033 www.neff.co.uk

The Luce IXT4LS island hood from Hotpoint has perimeter aspiration and a sensor that switches the extractor on when heat and humidity are detected from the hob. 08000 921922 www.lucebyhotpoint.co.uk

● If there is not enough space for an island, a small peninsula can be a good compromise.

Solid walnut makes a striking front on this island from bulthaup. The walnut is actually just 13mm thick – three solid wooden layers are combined with two stabilising aluminium sheets. Wall panels and side panels can also be produced using this technique. 0207 495 3663 www.bulthaup.co.uk

● Adding a lower area at one end of the island is a good idea if eating space is needed – sitting on a high stool is not everyone’s cup of tea. Our thanks to Mark David for these useful tips. KITCHEN JOURNAL APRIL 2012 • 29

Built in is now a mature market. When an appliance bites the dust consumers are looking for better functions and more attractive styling when buying the replacement. Cooking is the core product in built in and is an area where features definitely drive the sale.

From Mike Jarrett, Sales Director, Neff "Design co-ordination continues to be a top priority, whether in line or in column. Stainless steel still dominates as a finish with little sign of black gaining significant market share or of the much heralded return of white, as predicted in some quarters. There is greater acceptance of electronics and eventually we will get to the point where this is the norm, given the increasing ease with which consumers use iPads, iPhones, SmartPhones and the like. Suffice to say we are not quite there yet and some of these technologies do not lend themselves to safe and efficient cooking situations anyway. "In the year ahead the economic situation will continue to be uncertain, but it is certain that consumers will continue to be discerning, choosing the best deals around. Neff is well placed to ride any storms with a vast choice of different price levels to suit budgets from entry level to top end. "My advice to dealers is to know your products and have them on display, at an accessible height and preferably illuminated, know and understand what features and benefits they offer. My suggestion would be to put a premium model on display with lots of demonstrable features as you can always sell down to a more affordable product if you can convince the customer of the attributes of the brand. Be proactive and do the selling – by this I mean ask the consumer what sort of food they cook, and how frequently, Suggest models to meet their specific needs rather than waiting for them to tell you which one they want. From our experience consumers do not always know until you tell them."

The big fridge freezer has become a favourite with UK consumers who like the extra space and stylish looks offered by a large appliance.

Indesit’s 70cm wide BAN40FNFWDS silver fridge freezer has an indoor water dispenser. Water comes from a reservoir so there is no need for plumbing in – or the source can also be a bottle of mineral water or a soft or alcoholic drink. This no frost fridge freezer is A rated and has Super Cool and Super Freeze features to save energy. There are also Eco and Holiday settings and internal hygiene. 08000 921 922 www.indesit.co.uk

We all love an American style side by side icebox. The Nova range of side by side models from Whirlpool won an International Design and Architecture Award. Whirlpool has made many advances in refrigeration including 6th Sense Fresh Control technology, which controls humidity in the cabinet to keep food fresh for up to four times longer than a conventional refrigerator. 0208 649 5000 www.whirlpool.co.uk

Designed to co-ordinate with the new Neff range of stainless steel built in appliances the K5885 fridge freezer has a fingerprint free finish. It has an A+ energy rating, is frost free and has electronic controls, LED interior lighting and safety glass shelves. 0844 892 9033 www.neff.co.uk

free for all There are still customers looking to replace an old slip in cooker with something that offers more features and benefits. In cooling, freestanding fridges and freezers are a favourite to mix and match with built in.

An induction hob and a self cleaning pyrolytic oven make the Dci900XU from De Dietrich a sophisticated choice. The oven, which has a tilting motorised control panel, has 12 functions. The Eolyse catalyser neutralises unpleasant smells such as burnt or greasy food. 01256 308 067 www.dedietrich.co.uk

Large viewing windows and an ergonomic control panel make the Ultima HUE62 freestanding double oven cooker from Hotpoint easy to use. The main oven features Hotpoint’s Intelligent Cooking System which recommends the optimum shelf position, temperature and cooking time and has One Touch automatic programmes for cakes and bread and Smart Chef for roast meats and fish. The Solarglo ceramic hob is quick to heat up and has flexible zones. 08000 921 922 www.hotpoint.co.uk
