Meet some of our #MomentMakers,HotelRadissonGroup the best talent in our industry
I was born in 1991 and studied at the Academy of Economics and Law in Khabarovsk, Russia. After university, I went to Thailand to gain experience in the hotel industry and worked there for six years at two independent hotels. In 2019, I came back to work in Russia and joined Park Inn Rosa Khutor as Front Office Supervisor. After 3 months, I was promoted to Assistant Front Office Manager and in May 2022, I was promoted further to Front Office Manager.

I learn from both older and younger generations. Older generations help me develop by providing me with valuable information and examples from their own experience. If I make a mistake, they help by guiding and advising me on how I can do things correctly. Younger generations can update me on new trends and information of which I might not be aware.
2. How can you help other generations to develop and grow in their professional life?
In my department, I work mostly with people who are younger than me and sometimes it is a challenge to help them develop. I first need to understand their character, their background, their needs, and the expectations they have for the job. Once I have this information, I start with the basics and explain the fundamentals of the job, noting that if they need advice, I am always there to help. Once I see that a person

is ready for something new, I give them new tasks, as I always want them to know that they are growing and developing. For example, I once interviewed a candidate for the telephone operator role. In the interview, I realized that even though she had no hotel experience, she had great charisma and I wanted to give her a chance as a front office agent. We trained her, and she is now a Guest Relations Manager with strong career prospects.
3. What initiatives could companies take to ensure that “no one is left behind” on the work floor?
It is very important to take care of your entire team and make them feel that they are a valued part of a company that is safe and can provide great benefits such as self-development, recognition, training, as well as a task force to help them experience other areas of the hotel operation.
LoughlimiNoubir
Associate Junior Revenue Manager at Area Support Office Dubai
One of my key tasks is to generate revenue forecasts and budgets for hotels. I work closely with my team and the hotel operations teams to ensure we are all aligned in our goals and targets. I am the youngest of three and have two older sisters, with an age gap of four years between each of us. My father and I share a love for cinema, and my older sister and I both draw and enjoy painting. I also love music production and making videos. Every hotel group’s revenue approach is different. After doing revenue with a different hotel company, I decided to look for other opportunities, where target markets and strategies are different, to learn and diversify my perspective of how Revenue Management is done. My previous Director of Revenue Management and mentor listed a few hotel chains and Radisson Hotel Group was at the top of the list. I was so excited to join, because I understood from my research that the people culture at Radisson Hotel Group is superb, and this really comes through in the recruitment process.
2. How can you help other generations to develop and grow in their professional life? By being approachable, kind, and generous. What took me one month or sometimes a few years to understand can easily be shared by team members and save other generations trial and error time, so they can learning from the experiences of others to accelerate their development.
1. How can other generations help you develop your professional career? Mentorship is key to each person’s success. Older and younger generations are our mentors when they share their experiences and we can learn what would be the best method to proceed as well as which mistakes to avoid. This can influence life changing decisions as well as day-to-day choices.
3. How do you take accountability of your actions on the planet to ensure that the future generations live a prosperous life? In the last few years, I have become more conscious of the choices I make which may affect the lifestyle of future generations, starting from cutting the number of documents I print, to how I shop for groceries, and how I can reduce waste.
Tessy Yang Assistant Director of Sales, Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Chongqing
I have been in the hotel industry for more than 20 years with the Front Office, Banqueting, and Sales teams. I lead my team in a positive manner, always looking at the bigger market picture for opportunities for department and hotel innovation and change. I have worked with Radisson Hotel Group for the last 40 years. I have mentored many of our current GMs throughout the years and have been a LOTS trainer as well. I am extremely passionate about being a hotelier and have extensive experience growing and nurturing young talent. I consider myself very serviceminded, and a true YES I CAN ambassador, with a huge focus on talent, quality, performance, and guest satisfaction, so I always put the guest first. I played a vital role as part of central negotiations by representing Radisson Hotel Group in collective agreements for Norway.

I think other generations and, in my case, younger generations play an important role in breaking old patterns, seeing new ways to solve old problems, and giving insight into future possible demand drivers and habits in this constantly changing world. By tapping into younger people’s frames of mind and combining this with many years of experience, you can find a sweet spot in both innovations, operations models for the future, and novel strategic thinking. I have had a “Mentors mentee” over a period in which a young person mentored me (instead of the usual other way around) and this was highly valuable in helping me.
2. How can you help other generations to develop and grow in their professional life?
1. How can other generations help you develop your professional career?
I humbly think that after 41 years with Radisson Hotel Group in many countries and roles, that I have some knowledge which is valuable to pass on to younger and upcoming team members. It is always healthy to “backcast to forecast” by taking the best from the past and combining this with upto-date IT, competence, and best practice operating models where the goal is customer, team members, and owner satisfaction.
4. What initiatives could companies take to ensure that “no one is left behind” on the work floor?
3. How do you take accountability of your actions on the planet to ensure that the future generation live a prosperous life?
I think Radisson Hotel Group has been very good at this. We are a “people business” and in our business we need every single person on board. It is our responsibility to safeguard that everyone is onboarded properly and taken into the team in a welcoming and inclusive ways.
Everyone must take part and do their share. I try and do this both in my role as GM and as a private person. You can reduce food waste, power consumption, recycle, drive an electric car if you can, and make sure your footprint is as limited as possible - If everyone does something, so much can be achieved.
