The Iftar tasting menu is inspired by Chef Aqel’s PalestinianJordanian upbringing coupled with a touch of Mediterranean flavours. Diners can look forward to five sumptuous dishes, starting with Mama’s lentil tesa’ai and sharing-style Local honeybaked feta paired with The Abu Dhabi EDITION’s signature sourdough bread. For mains, east Mediterranean meets west as Dawood basha is presented with a modern twist showcasing a tender veal meatball topped on piquant yoghurt with dill, garlic and baked tomatoes before Gaza’s moussaka adds a flavourful kick with charred eggplant and Gaza tomato salad. The culinary journey ends on a sweet note with Teta’s rice pudding. Chef Aqel will also be present for a special meet and greet every Thursday and Friday during the Iftar experience.
