Printed Easy intends to use the Scodix Ultra 6000 by adding both raised and flat UV and foil to every general commercial product, both bound and unbound, in its range, with many complex options currently being designed. The integration of the Scodix Ultra 6000 Press into Printed Easy’s automated production is the logical step to continue its mantra of bringing offline print to the Web2Print market. The software automation and the automatic registration system that Scodix offers was a significant attraction for Printed Easy.

The new printer is the latest addition to Fujifilm’s new-look Acuity line up – revealed for the first time at FESPA 2022 in Berlin.

Fujifilm announces the launch of the Acuity Prime Hybrid printer, showcased for the first time on its stand at FESPA 2023. This groundbreaking new printer, modelled on the highly successful Acuity Prime, brings additional versatility due to its ability to handle both rigid and flexible media.

The new printer is the latest in Fujifilm’s Acuity range – designed from the ground up as part of its new ‘blueprint for wide format’. All machines in the range were purposely developed to strike the perfect balance between output speed, print quality and price, while incorporating intuitive design features for the operator.

When used as a flatbed machine, the Acuity Prime Hybrid can print on substrates up to 2m in width. It can print on up to four pieces of rigid media simultaneously, and features registration pins for highly precise edge to edge printing. The Acuity Prime Hybrid can produce print at production quality from 92m2 per hour.

The printer also features front and back handling tables to support all media types while facilitating easy media positioning.

The roll-fed configuration can be loaded with two rolls each up to 0.9m wide, and its Greenguard Gold certified ink makes it suitable for wallpaper production – as well as a huge range of other applications.

The Acuity Prime Hybrid is set to meet the needs of print service providers who use a wide range of media – such as Dibond, foamboard, acrylic, polyester and more – across a variety of applications.

The machine is available with four colours (CMYK) as standard and uses the same highly pigmented inks that have been used so successfully in the Acuity Prime. Small ink droplet sizes and pinpoint placement ensure exceptional quality, with no loss of colour, even when printing at high speeds.

A beta model will be installed in the UK in June 2023, with commercial availability scheduled for the end of the year.
