Academic pre-registration checklist 1) Always have the following documentation ready, and submit electronically, on request: a) Letter of acceptance (first-year and first-time registering students only) – available from www.cput.ac.za/study/track; b) Proof of payments (or proof of sponsorship letter); c) Proof of school leaving results/ Grade 12 equivalence such as National Senior Certificate (NSC); National Certificate (Vocational) (NCV); international results; d) Students registering for the first time and who have obtained their NCV will be requested by the respective faculties to submit prior to final evaluation; and e) Any other qualifications obtained. 2) Students will be only able to register if the status reflects: “ACCEPTED/ ACCEPTED ON FINAL RESULTS” You will not be able to register if your status reflects other statuses such as “Waiting List”, “Rejected”, “Course Full”, “Provisional Acceptance” or any “Incomplete” related statuses. 3) Students transferring from another university, including a university of technology:
Please submit your Statement of Results or Academic Record and a letter of good conduct from the other university to the Faculty. If you wish to apply for subject exemption or recognition, you should do so during registration.
4) The exemption/ recognition forms can be obtained from the Faculty Office. Applications for exemption or recognition must be submitted by 30 July 2021. These applications will be reviewed by a panel, and you should follow up to find out whether the application was successful. No late applications will be accepted. 5) Online registrations: a) Please take note that you will be given certain dates to register – this is your WEBR status – allowing you to register online. Without this status, you will not be able to register online at all. You can register from the Start Date until the End Date, but try to register as soon as possible, as classes may fill up.
