2022 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International matters and clearance Academic registration procedure: International students International registration clearance is compulsory for the following students: • Refugee permit holders • Asylum Seeker permit holders • Non-SA citizen passport holders with a study visa (i.e. no SA ID number) This clearance is not required for South African citizens and/or Permanent Residency students. You will be required to submit the following documentation electronically (certified copies of the original documents, with the stamped certification date not older than 3 months) via email to the contact details below: • Your refugee permit or study permit (receipts will not be accepted) made out for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology • All school leaving results/ academic records • Your passport • Proof of comprehensive medical aid cover (valid for 12 months) and valid in South Africa • International registration checklist downloadable from the CPUT website link https://www.cput.ac.za/students/about/registration • Deposit slips • Your acceptance letter downloadable from the CPUT website No international students will be registered without proof of above mentioned documents. Your international block will be removed once the international clearance has been completed. You may proceed with the registration process, provided that you are cleared from all other registration processes. No international student will be registered without a valid visa (receipts will not be accepted) and a South African medical aid cover (valid for 12 months). The University reserves the right to verify the authenticity of all documentation. Disciplinary action will be taken should it be proven that fraudulent documents were submitted.
