2018 VISION AWARD HONOREE: ANNE WILKES TUCKER Each year, the Center for Photography at Woodstock recognizes an outstanding figure in the photography community with the Vision Award. Established in 2004, past honorees have included Dr. Deborah Willis, Nathan Lyons, Vince Aletti, Kathy Ryan, Sandra S. Phillips, Willis E. Hartshorn, Fred Baldwin & Wendy Watriss, the photo agency VII, W.M. Hunt, Lilo Raymond, Neil C. Trager, Kenro Izu, Howard Greenberg, John Dugdale, and Colleen & Kathleen Kenyon. CPW is pleased to recognize Anne Wilkes Tucker with the 2018 Vision Award for her outstanding dedication and service to the field as an curator, writer and advocate. Curator emerita of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Anne is one of the most celebrated curators in the field and has shaped the careers of countless artists. She has created appreciation and understanding of the photographic arts through seminal exhibitions, such as WAR/PHOTOGRAPHY, has written over 130 books and exhibition catalogues, and contributed to countless magazines. Anne created a legacy by expanding a modest photography collection of 150 photographs to over 30,000 images. Join us as we celebrate her extraordinary career and continued contributions to the field.
