Over recent times there has been a lot of commentary regarding the effects inflation and interest rate rises are having on the overall economy. We have been conscious about how the current economic environment is impacting our market, and it’s fair to say at this early stage we haven’t seen a detrimental effect. Of particular note, is the upswing and continued growth of the industrial market, with investment and vacant possession sales continuing to exceed market expectations. Importantly we have seen the industrial rental market also continue on an upward trajectory with contributing factors such as an increase in land values and building costs for new properties coupled with vacancy rates at an all-time low. Landlords with rent review structures linked to CPI are seeing a dramatic annual increase to their passing rents from a circa 2% to 6%, providing landlords with an upside not seen in many years. On Sunday 24th July, our team enjoyed a beautiful sunny morning participating in Run Melbourne to raise money for Challenge, a fabulous organisation that support families and kids living with cancer. Challenge is a not-for-profit organisation that supports children and families living with cancer, 365 days a year. Their support is free and immediate, helping to lighten the cancer journey by addressing the practical, social, and emotional needs of all their members. There was PB’s achieved, new goals reached and lots of fun on the course but the biggest win by far was raising $2,554.50 for Challenge!
