CARMAN’S KITCHEN At Crabtrees, our clients mean everything to us. We’ve been pretty lucky to work alongside some really fantastic clients for a number of years. One of those clients is Carolyn Cresswell, who founded Carman’s Fine Foods in 1992. Over the last several years we have worked with Carolyn, who initially enquired with Luke Pitcher looking for a new facility as they had outgrown their current space. ‘Carolyn was looking for something a bit unique that they could transform into a long term HQ and add some creative flair to.’ – Gavin Dumas, Director.

‘I had a vision of a fantastic head office with a homely feel. I didn’t want it to feel corporate,’

says Carolyn.


A CLIENTS JOURNEY Carolyn’s brief was simple. She was after a unique building with an industrial feel and plenty of space. So, how did we know we had found ‘the one’? ‘It was an incredible building that had good bones and was a blank canvas for someone that could be creative. We felt as it was an ex-food factory there was some synergy for Carman’s,’ says Gavin. The space has now been completely transformed featuring vast open plan spaces with an abundance of glass, exposed ceiling beams and polished concrete floors, accented with lush greenery. ‘I got an email from Luke that said, “This is it!” The property was bigger than what we were looking for, but the price was right,’ says Carolyn. ‘I would have never found this one. Daryl is the recently appointed Head of Property Management at Crabtrees Real Estate. With over 30 years’ experience as a valuer and asset manager in commercial, retail and industrial property, Daryl brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. “One of the biggest challenges and opportunities we find is dealing with ‘change’. PROJECT MARKETING The 4th quarter of 2018 has seen the sell-out of one of our boutique developments, Park Lane. Positioned on Whiteside Road, Clayton South, this quality development has been secured by mainly owner occupiers with only one building available for lease. Construction has well and truly started at Axis Melbourne in Logis Estate, with concrete panels now appearing on site, the development is starting to really take shape. A number of units were secured in the latter part of the year and the price point is now starting from $467,250.
