LETTER FROM THE EDITOR There is something about the magic of summer that I just don't want to let go. Summer seems to bring out the best in people. When the sun is out, families come together and adventures ensue. This has been one of the best summers for so many reasons. From pool parties with friends to adventures around our state with Brennan and Lily I have so many memories and hundreds of photos. Photo crafts are some of my favorite ways to keep the magic of summer alive. From flip books to 3D photo collages, I can't get 95 9 enough! 1 Â a As I loosen my grip of summer I am comforted by the tingles of Fall. Do you circ know that feeling? We got a glimpse of Fall this week in Atlanta with one brisk 70 degree day and I caught a glimpse of future cups of apple cider, family fun days at the pumpkin patch, and the fun of making costumes! Each season contains its own magic and so, we should embrace the changing seasons. After this issue, I am ready to put the sunblock away and make a few fall wreaths...while sipping on a pumpkin spice latte!

GLITTER OMBRE MASON JARS MATERIALS Mason Jar Mod Podge Spray Adhesive Paintbrushes Gold Metallic Spray Paint Fine Glitter (any color) Fine/Chunky Gold Glitter
BAKERFELUIA.CO
CRAFTS
STEP 1: PAINT
First, spray painting the mason jar a metallic gold color. Dry Completely.
STEP 2: MOD PODGE
Apply an even, thick layer of Modge Podge over your dried gold paint. Choose a color of Nuvo Pure Sheen glitter and generously dust over the wet Mod Podge, covering it completely. **PRO TIP** During this step use a paper-lined tray underneath, this way you can use as much glitter as you need to achieve an even coat. Afterwards, funnel all excess back into the container. Apply a light coat of spray adhesive to the entire outside of the jar.
STEP 3: OMBRE
Quickly dust a generous amount of fine/chunky gold glitter over the jar beginning at the top and using less toward the midsection. To achieve more of an ombre effect, gingerly use a paintbrush to sweep the glitter. This should create a smooth transition between both colors. Once again, apply the spray adhesive over the finished product to lock the glitter in place. Allow to dry before using.

DIY PUMKPIN PATCH SIGN MATERIALS Testors Craft Crackle Kit Rust-Oleum Photo Transfer Testors Craft Metallic Gold Acrylic Paint Paint Brush Foam Brush Wood Stake Wood Planks Scissor Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sponge Ribbon & Trim (optional)
CRAFTS
STEP 1: PAINTING & PRINTING Paint the planks with the Testors Craft Gold Metallic Paint. Create a design on your computer. Make sure when you print it you reverse the design. It will look backwards to you but when you apply the design it will be read properly. You must print it on a laserjet printer. Most home printers are not laser printers. You can print the design on your home printer and take it to a copy store and copy with a laserjet printer. STEP 2: APPLYING DESIGNS Apply the Rust-Oleum Photo Transfer to the design side of the paper. Lay the design flat on the plank surface with the design side facing down. Use your fingers to rub out the bubbles and press onto the surface. STEP 3: REVEAL Let the design transfer for at least 12 hours. After 12 hours use a water-soaked sponge to rub off the paper backing to reveal the design.
CRAFTS
STEP 5: CRACKLE ON Next, use the Crackle Kit on the stake. Make sure you are outdoors or in a well-ventilated room and that you carefully follow the instructions. Be sure to let the base coat completely dry before applying the top coast. When applying the top coat move slowly and apply generously. You can not go over the design twice. STEP 5: A RUSTIC STAKE You will immediately notice the crackle effect happening! Once the stake is completely dry glue the planks on the stake. STEP 6: FALL CHIC Get creative ad add some festive Fall decorations to your sign. We glued ribbon and trim to each wood plank, if you need a little inspiration.

SWAROVSKI EPOXY CANVAS MATERIALS: Swarovski Crystals Acrylic Paint Epoxy Popsicle Sticks Clear Disposable Cups Parchment Paper Silver Flakes Rubber Gloves
DIY
STEP 1: PREP
Cover the work surface with craft or parchment paper. Prop up the canvas on 4 plastic cups. Mix the paint to create desired colors in clear cups. Pour majority of white paint in one cup. Create a generous amount of Epoxy for each of the colors, as well as the white. Pour epoxy into each color, including the white. Mix the epoxy thoroughly into each color with popsicle sticks. Set aside a cup of clear epoxy to use as an extra glossy coat.
STEP 2: POUR
Starting from the opposite corners of the canvas, begin pouring the colored epoxy in rings around each other. Make sure that you alternate the colors, including the white and clear epoxy. Once half of the canvas is filled with rings of varying colors, fill in the rest with either the clear or white epoxy. In-between pouring, tilt the canvas in order to get a desired look. Use a popsicle stick to wipe away the epoxy that drips underneath the edges of the canvas.
STEP 3: EMBELLISH
Add silver flakes along the natural lines created by the rings. Place an assortment of Swarovski crystals along the natural lines and silver flakes to achieve a crystallized design. Keep in mind there is about 20 minutes of working time from mixing the epoxy. Let the canvas cure overnight.
