Importance of Contrast & Emphasis
Create visual interest, excitement and drama
Arrangement of opposite elements such as light vs. dark colors, rough vs. smooth textures, large vs. small shapes, etc
Emphasise a focal point (the most significant part of the composition) to convey a message Subordination, to ensure that one idea gets conveyed in a superior form over others
