Exotic Veneers
Exotic Veneers Exotic Veneers enable you to sell in a NEW MARKET because you are able to sell high end jobs which are referred by Architects and Designers.
How To Order: 1. Advise Craft-Maid what wood specie of veneer and type of cut (quartered, plain sliced, quartered & figured, rift, etc.) 2. Craft-Maid will also need a floor plan & elevations. 3. From this information we will determine how many 4’ x 8’ sheets of 3/4”, 1/2”, 1/4” and 10 mill veneer is required for your project. 4. We will try to order all material from the same flitch or flitches to insure a uniform color. (Sequenced numbered and matched) Note: The larger the job the greater number of flitches required. Many exotic veneers are only available in small flitches which means that some flitches will yield only one or two 4’ x 8’ sheets. It is also important to note that within one 4’ x 8’ sheet, the veneers are stiched together in very small widths in many exotic veneers. 5. Using the more expensive veneers we will have the backs of doors laid up with plain sliced maple to help keep costs down.
How To Price: 1. Craft-Maid will obtain veneer pricing from our mill and give the dealer a net exotic wood veneer upcharge. 2. This wood upcharge is added to the standard pricing for cabinetry from the Craft-Maid Specifications & Pricing Manual. 3. In most cases the delivery time will not be affected. However, it will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to obtain the first sample door. Two door samples are always required. When you are bidding a job we will make a sample door using a representative exotic veneer which we will get out of stock at our local supplier. When you send an order, a floor plan and a deposit for the kitchen, we will make a second door sample using veneer from the actual flitches for the job. C C R A F T - M A I D KITCHENS
