Craghoppers NewHide leather uses an innovative tanning process which uses less water and energy. Traditional leather tanning uses a huge amount of water, this new process uses fewer chemicals, less energy and saves 60-84% of the water the traditional process would use.
Crahoppers work with the Leather Working Group (LWG) to ensure that the tanneries which provide the leather used in our products work to social and environmental best practices. We are pleased to say our collections are now sourced from 100% LWG certified tanneries.
CO2 Renu uses 100% recycled fabric which includes fibres converted from CO2 industrial waste as an alternative to recycled plastic bottles.
CO2RENU technology has been created in collaboration with industry experts, Lanzatech. The process reshapes carbon waste by using CO2 emissions as the starting point to create some of Craghoppers recycled polyester blends.
