19th APRIL 2021
Message from the Headmaster Dear Parents, I was delighted to welcome everyone back to Cranmore in glorious sunshine this week as we embrace the summer term refreshed. As the new term gets underway with renewed optimism, we can gradually reintroduce many of the exciting activities and opportunities associated with this time of year, starting with the recommencement of school fixtures next week. The main cricket square was in full use throughout the week and the running track and tennis courts were busy with lessons and afterschool training. The pupils will greatly benefit from the refurbished fitness suite and new equipment will add to the variety of activities available to the children. The car park was bustling on Tuesday evening as Chelsea Foundation’s new pre-development centre held their first training session at the school. This centre is designed to
help support young male and female football players in the local area. Congratulations to all the pupils who achieved tremendous success in their music examinations in performance, theory and on individual musical instruments. A gentle reminder that the deadlines for entry in the Great Cranmore Bake Off and the Language Competitions are fast approaching! Finally, thank you to parents and pupils for remembering to use the footpaths at all times when in the car park; this ensures everyone is kept as safe as possible during these peak times for drop-off and collection.
I hope you have an opportunity to enjoy the sunshine over the weekend and look forward to seeing you on Monday. Mr Everitt

Cranmore Nursery have fun planting, painting and enjoying the sunshine!
The Nursery children were really lucky with the weather for Forest School this week.
They had fun swinging in the hammock and enjoyed clearing the vegetable patch and planting courgettes and carrots.
In Pre-Nursery the children enjoyed seeing how much their tomato plants had grown over the holiday and made some lovely track pictures with the cars.
We have been having fun in the Nursery garden with water play and small world play with dinosaurs and farm animals. Ms M Luke, Head of Nursery

A Message from our Chaplain A reading from the Gospel of Luke While they were still talking about this, Jesus Himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” The Gospel of the Lord Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus is Resurrected– the Cornerstone of Our Christian Faith In the reading this week we are reminded that Jesus always brings peace into our hearts and into our lives. The disciples were worried and afraid and yet Jesus calms their fears. There is so much in the world that we can be afraid of, so much that can make us worry. Yet God sees the world in a different way to us. His ways our different to our ways. Let us in this season of Easter recognise that Jesus walks alongside us. May Christ be with you all over this Easter Season.
