New Dei Prefect

I am Amarie A and St Teresa’s first ever DEI prefect. This role means a lot to me, as I think diversity, equality and inclusivity are very important things in making a school community a collaborative success. I am extremely grateful to be able to represent the POC (Person of Colour) community at our school. I come from a family of leaders and my great grandfather was a human rights activist in Nigeria. This inspired me to challenge and further educate people in beliefs and systems that will ensure that everybody feels valued and gets to join a level playing field. Personally, to lead in this new role means our team of DEI ambassadors will be able to work on projects, which will enhance and make a difference in our school. Please see below some exciting opportunities you can involve yourself in.
