ART NEWS, PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

During this half term we launched the photography competition where the girls were given a design brief “The Natural World”. We received so many amazing submissions and everyone should be incredibly proud, but the winning 2 submissions went to Hannah B in Year 9 on her woodland images and Rosie C in Year 7 for her sunset image. Congratulations to everyone who submitted their work!

In Art Club this term the girls have worked hard creating their own felt macaroons and biscuits inspired by the work of Lucy Crick and Lucy Sparrow, in which they learnt to sew and stuff pieces of felt to create 3D forms. The results were great, and I look forward to working with the girls next term on some digital experiments.
