CRA provide both full and part time Environmental Advisors to a number of offshore Oil and Gas clients operating within the North Sea and internationally. CRA consultants have been seconded to a number of offshore operators to work as Environmental Advisors, where they worked within client HSEQ teams and provided EHS support to operational departments. Within these roles CRA staff liaise, on behalf of the operator, with operational engineers and technical staff, external consultants subcontracted by the operator and regulatory agency contacts, including DECC EMT, to ensure on-schedule consent for the client’s operations is granted. CRA’s consultants maintain a current working knowledge of the North Sea oil and gas regulatory regime and environmental best practice, and are experienced in the use of the DECC UK Oil Portal and Portal Environmental Tracking System (PETS) for the submission, variation and management of permits for UK offshore operations. In 2014, CRA provided the following support to offshore operators, in compliance with Oil and Gas industry best practice and relevant national regulations:  Permit application and variation under the Offshore Combustion Installations (Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations 2013 (PPC);  Permit application and variation under the Offshore Petroleum Activities (Oil Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations 2005 (as amended) (OPPC);  Permit variation under the European Union Emissions Trade Scheme (EU ETS);  Environmental and Emissions Monitoring System (EEMS) Returns;  Waste management plans;  Oil spill contingency plans;  Compliance and requirements registers for operations;  Environmental management plans;  Financial responsibility reports;  Compliance audits against corporate EHS standards;  Environmental assessments;  Licensing applications;  Emergency response exercises and training;  Hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA);  Hazard identification study (HAZID); and  HSE due diligence assessments.
