24th November, 2015 Reflection Celebrating Jesus Christ, the King We finish each Church year by celebrating the feast of Christ the King. From John’s Gospel, we hear Jesus’ words: ‘I was born for this, I came into the world for this: to bear witness to the truth; and all who are on the side of truth listen to my voice.’ Pope Francis reminds us this will be: ‘a kingdom of truth and life, a kingdom of holiness and grace, a kingdom of justice, love and peace.’ Lord, we are waiting for the coming of Your kingdom of love, For peace around the world, For honesty, for real justice, when everyone truly shares the riches of the world. Lord, you have given us so much, Help us to be grateful and to live like your Kingdom has come. Amen.
