TROPHY LIVES

Trend-led and commercially creative, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Ireland Grand Final is always a mouth-watering showcase of artistry that clients will crave. But who stole the show at the RDS Dublin?

Bringing together creative colourists from across the country, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Ireland Grand Final at Dublin’s RDS celebrated not only the exceptional talent on display but also a strong sense of community. Hosted by TV presenter Darren Kennedy, this was a chance to get properly creative and illustrate just why there’s such a buzz around Irish hairdressing right now.

There was also a spotlight on the new Head Up initiative from L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, to raise awareness and focus on the mental health of hair professionals. It includes Head Up Keys, a free training programme available through its Access platform.

The evening showcased the artistry created by enthusiastic finalists, seeing them take to the runway alongside their models and compete for the coveted title. From young professionals beginning their colour journey to seasoned pros, the competition was tight. The judges – Sally Brooks from Brooks & Brooks, Trevor Sorbie’s Nathan Walker, Sally Montague Hair Group’s Angel Montague-Sayers, Strictly Xtended’s Abigail Butler, and Adam Reed from ARKIVE by Adam Reed – had a tough job on their hands.

Once the winners were revealed, it was onto the after party, where DJ, sax and percussion trio Toca Groove set the tone, with a set inspired by Ibiza and Dubai nightlife that raised energy levels sky high. Wow, we loved seeing everything #LCT23 had to offer. We can’t wait for next year…
