Iportray human beings. I approach the canvas with a mixed texture made with gesso, pigments, marble powder, collage, fabrics, etc. I like to have an articulate base on which to begin the figure with oil paint. This allows me to have different transparent layers, where the realistic outline gets confused and more abstract. Recently I have started to add a special resin to create a deeper, three-dimensional effect, especially in my “mandala” series. I have been inspired by many journeys, and use photographic material, mixed with an unconscious dream world and my spiritual practices. Having grown up in

Italy and studied classic art, I found it easy to connect to middle age and renaissance iconography, mixed with Asiatic symbols and concepts.

My work can be descriptive and decorative, searching for harmony and a kind of peaceful beauty. I was born in Milan and specialized in Illustration where I worked several years in edition and advertising, my desire to paint in a larger scale brought me to collaborate with other artists on murals and trompe l’oeil, and to travel a lot. It was in 1995 when I began to focus on my personal creative process, and approached oil painting. This brought me to have solo and group shows, and in 1997 I moved to Ibiza. A long collaboration with a Swiss art Gallery allowed me to open the market beyond Spain.
