His works deal with a world of emotion touched by the perception offered by the imagination. The outlines of the magnitude of his art are exciting because in the singularity of the cult of the small there is a whole beating conjunction of efforts in intuitions based firmly on balance. In his latest works we can see that, after some work more directly linked to figurative art, Lolo Zapico has returned to his adventures, uncovering gestures, signs and colours. I would go as far as to say that these are pictorial extensions of perimeters drawn from nature. This natural world the painter is constantly observing and studying, comparing the visible and the non-visible from his studio in San Miguel de Laciana.
