The design of Education Executive Agency and Tax Office building, accommodating 2,500 employees, caters to two distinct operations, the Dutch federal tax service and the university student grant system. The design aimed at creating an energy efficient building, at the same time creating a system of flexible workspaces.
The building presents itself in a
soft, organic characteristic that distinguishes itself from other commercial buildings, with its half stripped towers serving as a contrast between present and past. The building’s signature element consists of aluminum
fins wrapped around each floor to meet both ecological concerns of the site and ensuring the energy efficiency of the building. Darch year 3 Integrated Assignment.
