with Ray Jones The long awaited SEND THOSE PHOTOS TO date for rabbit numberonecoach@hotmail.com hunters is at hand or 731-694-8614. and it’s the first Saturday in November. It is a date that is anticipated since the last day of the season. Only huntersÊ can understand the feeling one gets when the season opens and you get to do what you’ve waited almost a year to do. In the good ole days when rabbits were plentiful and before farmers clipped fence rows and sprayed pesticides and herbicides rabbit hunting was sure pleasure because you knew rabbits would be everywhere.Ê Things have changed but rabbits still run fast, beagles still love to chase them and the thrill is still the same for the outdoorsmen. The relationship that exist between hunters is like that of sports teams in that look forward the the sportsmanship and bonds that exist between them. The season runs through the last day of February with a daily limit of 5 rabbits. If you’re looking to have some of the best fun available in the Great Outdoors of West Tennessee then try rabbit hunting and take the kids because they will love that beagle music also.ÊÊ The photo is Jim Douglas with a beagle pack and swamp rabbit.
