The National Museum of Childhood is an initiative designed to celebrate and engage in the spirit of childhood. Our goal is to create meaningful and lasting experiences for children and adults through interaction with artefacts and an exciting programme of events. The Museum will display an extensive collection of Irish cultural and historical artefacts, including toys, childhood equipment and clothes. We hope to gather the stories and experiences of children from different eras and environments. Permanent artefacts and displays will be supported by a programme of temporary exhibitions linked to events and interactive learning opportunities.

Explore past, present, and future childhoods ◉ - creative writing workshop A visit to the exhibition on childhood in the Royal Marine Hotel will be the starting point and inspiration for the creative writing. → ages 14-17
