InternaAonal Dot Day By Hecziany and Bryce On Monday September 15th, we celebrated InternaGonal Dot Day. We dressed in dots and we went to the library Made by Bryce using for fun acGviGes. We Kid Pix Deluxe 3X made dot art on the iPads, on round paper plates and we made a mural. With InternaGonal Dot Day we celebrate our passion for learning and how to leave our mark on the world.

Book Review: Wilfred by Ryan Higgins By Diego Wilfred is a big and hairy monster. One day he came to a liWle town full of liWle bald people. He was looking for a friend. He found a kid who started playing with him. My favorite part of the book, is where they take his hair away from him. I recommend this book for 1st graders. You can find this book in the library, the call number is E HIG. 1

Meet our new teachers! Interview with Mr. ParmenAer By Diego -­‐ What do you do at the school? I teach 5th grade. -­‐ Where did you live before? Alaska and Almaty, Kazakhstan. -­‐ What is your favorite food and why ? Salmon sushi and lucuma cremoladas. because they taste good. I don’t think I can leave Peru now! -­‐ Which vegetable do you hate the most? Olives because they taste like Play-­‐Dough to me. -­‐ Which superpowers would you have? I always wanted to fly. -­‐ If you could meet a famous person, who would it be and why? I already met the person I wanted to meet, a guitar player by the name of Blackie. -­‐ Do you play any sports ? Snowboard, run, lia weights, rock climbing, soccer and American football. 2

Atlanta, Georgia in the USA. -­‐ What is your favorite book, why ? The Wind-­‐up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami because I've never read something like that before. -­‐ Who is your favorite person in the whole world? Ms. Tina because she helps me a lot. -­‐ What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Pralines and cream from Häagen-­‐Dazs. -­‐ Do you play an instrument ? No, I don’t. -­‐ What would you take with you on a trip to the moon? A boWle of champagne. 3

I want to be gum under a table. -­‐ What’s your favorite sport? Basketball and Soccer. -­‐Who’s your best friend? Greg and Steve. -­‐ What’s your favorite food? My favorite food is Ceviche. -­‐ Blue hair or blue teeth? I will prefer to have blue hair, since I already had blue teeth! -­‐ What’s your favorite book? A River Runs Through It and Other Stories by Norman Maclean. -­‐ What’s your favorite number? 14 -­‐ What’s your favorite song? Ms. Bowman Primary School Janitor Ms. Johanna Librarian Art teacher Book Review: Chickenhare by Chris Grine By Diego What’s a Chickenhare?, a cross between a rabbit and a chicken, of course. I liked this book because it was very funny. The part I liked the most was when a monkey eats the leaovers of a butler. Another part I liked was when they find a colony of shromph (I don’t know what shromph are). I think the author did a very good job wriGng this graphic novel. If you are interested in reading this book, you can find it in the library, its call number is J 741.5 GRI.
