Portfolio BA (Hons) Make-up for Media and Performance

This photograph was taken to show how water is able to manipulate and change the way that a person can look and the emotions that they portray when being submerged in water. This photograph links with the theme Covert and Obscure as the way that the model normally looks has been changed and distorted. This photograph has been edited through the use of Camera Raw to enhance lighting and definition within the photograph. When doing the photo shoot, I had styled the models make-up and made sure that when the water was running over her face, it smudged and made the makeup run. I also made sure I positioned her correctly to get the effect I needed.
Here I wanted to show a contrast between m background and the model in black and white and old fashioned but on the other hand, I ha look of the row of flowers in the fore-ground o able to put an oil paint effect on the photog to pull apart different coloured layers of the

In these photographs, I’m showing a relationship between people and the sport in which they do as leisure or on a professional basis. I wanted to be able to capture the model when moving and so therefore when doing the photo shoot I purposely lowered the shutter speed to be able to make it seem as if the subject in the photograph is still moving even though it is a still image.
Here I am still showing the relationship between the model and his chosen sport but this time, I have used the sport mode on the camera to be able to capture moving pictures in the best definition possible. I have then used Photoshop to be able to combine photographs together. In the photograph above I have combined three photographs to show the movement being carried out and in the photograph on the right I have layered two portrait images together and lowered the opacity of the photograph in front, to show who the model is and what his ora is like.
Textiles Des
Here I have sketched five different designs for a bed throw that I have made in Textiles. When making the product the design brief was to make something made from recycled fabrics and so when designing the product I thought about using different panels of fabric that were scraps or from old garments. On top of the design brief, I also set myself the task of giving the bed throw a vintage look and theme to make it more appealing to any aged target market group. (To the right shows the end product - six panels with different fabrics and decorative techniques).

Textiles - Dress making
At the end of year 12, I made a simple loose fitting shift dress that was inspired by the Little Black Dress invented by Coco Chanel. I wanted to put a modern spin on the classic dress so that the black dress could be worn in the summer months to both smart and casual occasions depending on the accessories worn with the dress. To achieve this, I have inserted an inverted box pleat at the back of the dress in a neon orange colour to make it unique and different.
Face painting Since the age of about four-teen, I started up my own face painting business. I distributed my personalised business cards throughout my local area and from this I have done several school fairs and fetes. From the fetes, I then began to gain personal clients that requested me to do their children’s parties or events. Ever since I started the business I have had regular requests and have earned profits from the business. To the left, I have shown a few examples of my face painting from a private event. (These are the images I got from the client as well as an email saying how she pleased she was with the results).
For my parents business, New Accessories, I was asked to t do with different seasons. I had to work with an assistant an able to get the job done effectively. When taking the pho and match up colours that went well together, so that c
