Computing

Computing is an established academic discipline that deals primarily with Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and how computers work.

Areas covered will be valuable to students interested in Engineering, Interactive Media, Data science, Machine Learning, Electronics and Mathematics, as well as those with an interest in computing. This course should not be confused with Information Technology, which tends to deal with what computers are used for. Computing is highly regarded by top university departments.

The department offers vocational industry standard courses.

There are a number of specially equipped classrooms and every student has their own computer to use in class. The courses uses a range of industry or university standard software for coding, cybersecurity, games development, Mobile Application development and website design.

There is also a room equipped for work on hardware in the BTEC courses.
