Uvod Introduction
Uvodnik Slovenski forum inovacij tudi letos znova dokazuje, da v Sloveniji inovativnega duha še zdaleč ne primanjkuje. Na dogodku 12. in 13. novembra 2014 predstavljamo 47 najboljših inovacij, med katerimi jih je kar 66 odstotkov že v fazi izvedbe oziroma realizacije.
Dogodek sledi svojemu poslanstvu, sooča prakso in teorijo, postavlja pomembna vprašanja in nanje išče odgovore. Z veseljem ugotavljamo, da je Slovenski forum inovacij na svoji razvojni poti pustil dober in prepoznaven pečat med inovativnimi podjetji, posamezniki in drugo domačo ter mednarodno javnostjo. Taki dogodki in odzivnost nam vlivajo optimizem, da slovenska podjetja intenzivno razmišljajo o novih izdelkih, iščejo nove priložnosti in rešitve za rast in razvoj.
Inovativnost družbe je izziv in hkrati dejstvo, brez katerega ni napredka in rasti. Inovativni posamezniki in skupine, ki s svojimi idejami, izdelki ali storitvami spreminjajo svet na bolje, so temelj razvoja družbe in zagotavljanja kakovosti življenja vseh nas. Vsi skupaj pa smo tisti, ki se moramo naučiti prepoznati dobre projekte in jim nuditi močno podporo: od invencije do inovacije, pri razvoju novih produktov, pri njihovi aplikaciji v proizvodnjo in, končno, pri njihovi prodaji.
Nekoč je Ralph Waldo Emerson, eden najvplivnejših ameriških filozofov, dejal, da je največji dosežek ostati zvest samemu sebi, unikaten, v svetu, ki se nenehno trudi, da bi te spremenil v nekoga drugega. In prav te lastnosti označujejo tudi uspešne slovenske posameznike, ki zvesto sledijo samim sebi in verjamejo v sposobnost uresničevanja ciljev, ki so si jih zadali. Eden izmed izzivov, pred katerega postavljamo letošnje avtorje inovacij in druge obiskovalce dogodka, je iskanje vrednosti inovacij, zaradi katerih se bodo razmere na trgu oziroma ciljnem segmentu trga bistveno spremenile. Če bomo vsi skupaj sledili temu cilju, potem se bomo lahko v prihodnje ponašali s številnimi prebojnimi inovacijami.
V Javni agenciji Republike Slovenije za spodbujanje podjetništva, inovativnosti, razvoja, investicij in turizma ponujamo različne podporne ukrepe, ki spodbujajo slovenski inovativni potencial. Naše aktivnosti so usmerjene v razvoj podpornega okolja, v katerem so uspešno pokrite vse mogoče situacije, v katerih se znajde ideja, in sicer od rojstva inovacije pa vse do njene internacionalizacije. Za razvoj in rast inovativnega okolja pa je pomembno tudi ozaveščanje poslovne in širše slovenske javnosti o pomenu inovacij za razvoj in ustvarjanje dodane vrednosti. Eden izmed uspešnejših tovrstnih instrumentov je prav gotovo dogodek Slovenski forum inovacij. Letošnji je že deveti po vrsti.

Editorial The Slovenian Innovation Forum proves again this year that the spirit of innovation is strong in Slovenia. At the event, which is to be held on 12 and 13 November 2014, we will present the best 47 innovations, 66% of which are already in the stage of development. Innovation in society is both a challenge and a necessary driver of development and growth. Innovative individuals and groups whose ideas, products or services change the world for the better place are the foundation of society and an assurance of our quality of life. It is up to all of us to learn how to recognize good projects and strongly support them: from invention to innovation, when developing new products, applying them in production and, finally, when selling the product The Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Development, Investment and Tourism offers a variety of support measures that encourage Slovenian innovative potential. Our activities target the development of support environment that covers all the possible situations for the idea, all the way from the innovation’s conception to its global launch. For the innovation environment to develop and grow, it is important to inform business and broader Slovenian community about the significance of innovations for the development and the added value creating. One of more successful instruments of this sort is definitely the Slovenian Innovation Forum. This year’s event is already the ninth in a row.
It follows the mission, faces theory and practice, asks important questions and is looking for the answers. We are happy to find that the Slovenian Innovation Forum has left a good and recognisable signature on its development path among innovative companies, individuals and the rest of the domestic and international public. This kind of events and responsiveness encourage Slovenian companies to intensively think about new products, seek new opportunities and solutions for growth and development. One of the most influential American philosophers, Ralph Waldo Emerson once said that “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” These are also the characteristics of successful Slovenians who keep true to themselves and believe in achieving their own goals. One of the challenges we pose to this year’s innovators and other visitors to the event is to seek a value of innovations that would significantly change the situation on the market or the targeted segment. Aiming for that same objective together, we will be able to pride ourselves with many important innovations in the future.

Končno poročilo o ocenjevanju in rezultatih ocenjevanja inovacij nacionalne ocenjevalne komisije za 9. Slovenski forum inovacij Slovenski forum inovacij je osrednji nacionalni vseslovenski poslovni dogodek na temo inovativnosti in podjetništva. Slovenski forum inovacij kaže inovacijsko sposobnost Slovenije in je platforma za predstavitev idej ter navezavo stikov za nadaljnji razvoj. V izboru za 9. Slovenski forum inovacij je sodelovalo 144 prijav, ki so jih poslala podjetja, inovatorji in podjetniki posamezniki, raziskovalno-razvojne inštitucije ter študenti in dijaki. Največ je bilo prijavljenih inovativnih izdelkov, kar 85. Prijavljenih je bilo tudi 35 inovativnih storitev in 24 inovativnih poslovnih modelov. Med prijavami so bila zastopana zelo raznolika vsebinska področja. Največ jih je bilo s področja izobraževanja, ekologije, informatike, medicine, logistike, športa, energetike in drugo. Pomemben pa je tudi delež interdisciplinarnih prijav, ki vsako leto narašča. Največ prijav so oddala mikro, majhna in srednja podjetja, in sicer 71. Sledili so inovatorji posamezniki ali skupine inovatorjev s 44 prijavami. 15 prijav so oddale razvojno-raziskovalne organizacije, 8 prijav dijaki, študenti in mladi raziskovalci ter 6 prijav velika podjetja. V postopku ocenjevanja na podlagi prijavnega obrazca so vsako prijavo ocenili trije neodvisni recenzenti. Nacionalna ocenjevalna komisija je sestavljena iz 37 uglednih slovenskih strokovnjakov, ki celovito pokrivajo področja ocenjevanja. Komisija je najboljše izbrala na 8
podlagi združene ocene treh ločenih recenzij vsake prijave, v okviru katerih so člani komisije ovrednotili tehnične, inovacijske, vsebinske, podjetniško-poslovne vidike, vidike odličnosti ustvarjalnih industrij in vidike pravic intelektualne lastnine. Komisija je najboljše izbrala na podlagi združene ocene treh ločenih recenzij vsake prijave, v okviru katerih so člani komisije ovrednotili tehnične, inovacijske, vsebinske, podjetniško-poslovne vidike, vidike odličnosti ustvarjalnih industrij in vidike pravic intelektualne lastnine. Ključni kriteriji ocenjevanja so bili: uporabna vrednost, inovativnost, potencialni pomen oziroma vpliv – relevantnost, praktična izvedljivost, tržna privlačnost, družbeno-ekonomski učinki in ustreznost pristopa. Omenjeni kriteriji so bili razdeljeni v podkriterije, ki jih je bilo skupno šestnajst. Ocenjevanje z vidika ustvarjalnih industrij je zajemalo ocenjevanje inovativnih izdelkov z vidika vključenosti industrijskega oblikovanja v proizvodni proces izdelka. Storitve in poslovni modeli so bili ocenjeni z vidika avdio-vizualnih komunikacij, odvisno od vrste dejavnosti, iz katere izhaja neka storitev ali poslovni model, in drugih vidikov ustvarjalnih industrij, vključno z naslednjimi: kulturna in rekreacijska, vizualne umetnosti (fotografija, slikarstvo ipd.), glasba, založništvo in novinarstvo, film, radio, televizija, poslovna in kreativna programska oprema, oblikovanje in arhitektura, oglaševanje in mediji. Nacionalna ocenjevalna komisija je sestavila ločeno poročilo o vključevanju vidikov odličnosti ustvarjalnih industrij, ki podaja podrobnejši opis omenjenih vidikov. Vsaka prijava je prejela končno oceno v intervalu med 0 (najslabše) in 1 (najboljše). Med najboljše se je na
9. Slovenskem forumu inovacij uvrstilo 47 izbranih inovacij. Da se je prijava lahko uvrstila na 9. Slovenski forum inovacij, je morala zbrati najmanj 0,602 točke. Najboljša prijava je bila ocenjena z 0,887 točke. Med najboljše se je uvrstilo 33 inovativnih izdelkov, 10 inovativnih storitev in 4 inovativni poslovni modeli; od tega 27 iz mikro, malih ali srednjih podjetij, 6 iz velikih podjetij, 7 iz raziskovalnorazvojnih inštitucij, 6 od inovatorjev ali skupin inovatorjev in 1 od dijakov, študentov oziroma mladih raziskovalcev. Vsem prijaviteljem želimo, da bi svojo idejo čim uspešneje predstavili ter identificirali in našli bodoče investitorje in partnerje ter jo tako pripeljali do tržno uspešnega izdelka ali storitve.

Final Report on the evaluation and the results of the evaluation of innovations by the National Evaluation Committee for the 9th Slovenian Innovation Forum The Slovenian Innovation Forum is the main national and pan-Slovenian business event on the themes of innovation and entrepreneurship. The Slovenian Innovation Forum reflects Slovenia’s innovative ability and serves as a platform for the presentation of ideas as well as for establishing contacts for further development. Competing in the 9th Slovenian Innovation Forum were 144 innovations, entered by companies, innovators and individual entrepreneurs, research and development institutions, as well as university and high school students. The greatest number of entries, at a total of 85, were for innovative products. There were also 35 entries for innovative services and 24 entries for innovative business models. A diverse range of subject areas were covered by the innovations entered and the most popular areas represented were education, ecology, information technology, medicine, logistics, sport, energy, and so on. Also important were the entries for interdisciplinary innovations, which have been increasing every year. The largest number of entries were from micro, small and medium enterprises, with a total of 71 entries. These were followed by individual innovators or groups of innovators with 44 entries. Fifteen entries were from research and development institutions, 8 from high school students, university students and young
researchers, and 6 entries were submitted by large companies. In the evaluation process, on the basis of the entry application form, each entry was assessed by three independent evaluators. The National Evaluation Committee is comprised of 37 eminent Slovenian experts who comprehensively cover the evaluation areas. The best entries were chosen by the Committee on the basis of combined assessments of three independent reviews of each application, in which members of the Committee evaluated the content together with the entry’s technical, innovative, entrepreneurial and business aspects, as well as the aspect of excellence in creative industries and the aspect of intellectual property rights. The key criteria for the evaluation were: value of usability, innovativeness, potential importance or influence – relevancy, practicality and feasibility, market appeal, socio-economic impact and the appropriateness of the innovator’s approach. These criteria were further divided into sub-criteria, totalling sixteen in all. The evaluation of the creative industries aspect covered the assessment of innovative products from the point of view of including industrial design in the production process of the product. Services and business models were evaluated from the point of view of audio-visual communication,
depending on which type of activity a particular service or business model was involved in, together with other aspects of the creative industry, including the following: culture and recreation, visual arts (photography, painting, etc.), music, publishing and journalism, film, radio, television, business and creative programming equipment, design and architecture, advertising and the media. The National Evaluation Committee prepared separate reports on the inclusion of the aspects of excellence in the creative industries, which give a detailed description of these aspects. Each entry was given a final score between 0 (the lowest score) and 1 (the highest score). Among the best at the 9th Slovenian Innovation Forum were 47 selected innovations. For an entry to be considered at the 9th Slovenian Innovation Forum, it was required to receive at least 0.602 points. The best entry was awarded 0.887 points. The best entries included 33 innovative products, 10 innovative services and 4 innovative business models; of these 27 were from micro, small and medium enterprises, 6 from large companies, 7 from research and development institutions, 6 from innovators or groups of innovators and 1 from high school and university students or young researchers. We wish all the innovators the in the pursuit of their ideas and hope that they will be successful in presenting them to potential investors and partners, and in bringing their ideas to fruition as successfully marketed products or services. Water Saving System – sistem za varčevanje z vodo Water Saving System
Water Saving System rešuje problem izgube precejšnih količin pitne vode, ki smo jo plačali. Kako to dosežem? S posebno izvedbo pasivnega preklopnega ventila, ki preusmerja vodo v času pred dotokom tople vode v namenski shranjevalnik, od koder se potem po dodatni instalaciji distribuira do porabnikov. Prednosti so ekonomske – prihranki pri stroških za pitno vodo ter splošno zmanjšanje obremenitve vodovodnih sistemov in okolja.
The Water Saving System solves the problem losing large amounts of drinking water we paid for. How can I achieve that? With a special version of a selector valve that redirects the water before hot water flows into dedicated storage. From here it gets distributed to consumer through an additional piping. There are economical advantages that can be seen in drinking water savings and a decreased load of water infrastructure and environment in general.

Ultrazvočna razpršilna piroliza za proizvodnjo materialov Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis in materials production
Zaradi velikega števila uporabnih aplikacij bodo nanodelci v bližnji prihodnosti vpleteni v marsikatero industrijo in tudi v življenje posameznikov. Uporabni so pri gorivnih celicah, elektroniki, farmaciji, medicini itn. Izdelava nanodelcev v večjem obsegu pomeni izziv za trenutno uveljavljene postopke izdelave. Ultrazvočna razpršilna piroliza je proces, ki lahko proizvede nanodelce v večjih količinah, prav tako pa je uporaben za izdelavo nanodelcev iz velikega števila materialov za različne aplikacije. Zaradi začetne donosnosti vlaganj v izdelovanje nanodelcev se bomo sprva osredotočili na izdelavo zlatih nanodelcev, primernih za medicinske aplikacije. Pozneje, po uspešni uveljavitvi postopka, pa se lahko dobljeno znanje uporabi za izdelavo nanodelcev iz drugih materialov.
A wide range of applications will result in nanoparticles being a part of many industries, as well as of individuals’ lives. They are useful in fuel cells, electronics, pharmacy and medicine. Massive nanoparticles production is a challenge for currently recognized manufacturing processes. Ultrasonic spray pyrolysis is a process that is able to produce large amounts of nanoparticles and it is also useful for producing nanoparticles from numerous materials for a wide spectrum of use. Because of initial profitability of nanoparticles production investment, we will primarily focus on manufacturing golden nanoparticles, which are suitable for medical uses. After the procedure is successfully implemented, the gained knowledge can be used for production of nanoparticles from other materials.

AIR TOWER AIR TOWER
Kot prvi na svetu smo razvili notranjo pasivno klimatsko napravo, ki uporablja fazno spreminjajoče materiale in ne potrebuje zunanje enote, hkrati pa prihrani več kot 90 % električne energije, ker hladi pasivno. Uporablja le računalniški ventilator, ki porabi 3–6 wattov. Glavne prednosti izdelka so: tiho delovanje, prenosljivost, brez dodatne zunanje enote, 90-odstotni prihranek elektrike, enostaven priklop v vtičnico, ne uporablja toksičnih in vnetljivih materialov.
We have developed the first internal passive air conditioning system that uses phase change materials and does not require an external unit, while saving more than 90 % of electricity because it cools in a passive mode. It uses only a computer fan that consumes 3-6 W of electrical power. The main advantages of the products are: quiet functioning, portability, no external unit, 90% savings on electricity, simple plugging into the socket, no use of toxic or flammable materials.

Quadrofoil – energetsko učinkovito plovilo prihodnosti s podvodnimi krili Quadrofoil – energy-efficient watercraft with hydrofoils of the future
Quadrofoil je plovilo, ki na prvi pogled izstopa kot presežek vrhunskega oblikovanja z upoštevanjem estetskih, funkcionalnih in ergonomskih zahtev uporabnikov. Je popolnoma ekološko plovilo, ki izpolnjuje najstrožja merila glede omejevanja izpustov (hrup, plini) v okolje. Quadrofoil Q2 Electric je izjemno energetsko učinkovito (strošek energije < 1 evro /uro) dvosedežno plovilo s podvodnimi krili (hydrofoils), ki je nastalo kot odgovor na zahteve trga, s katerim zaradi našega inovativnega pristopa povzročamo (r)evolucijo na področju plovil, namenjenih za osebno uporabo. Zaradi svoje oblike in podvodnih kril ne povzroča valov ter omogoča varno in udobno vožnjo brez škodljivih posledic za zdravje tudi na razburkani vodni površini. S patentiranim krmilnim sistemom smo kot prvi na svetu prenesli lahkotnost in okretnost avtomobilske vožnje tudi na vodno plovilo s podvodnimi krili in omogočili uporabnikom izjemno adrenalinsko doživetje letenja na vodi, ki doslej ni bilo mogoče.
Quadrofoil is a watercraft which stands out for its cutting-edge design, taking into account aesthetic, functional and ergonomic user requirements. It is an entirely eco-friendly watercraft, which meets the most stringent criteria for the limitation of emissions (noise, gases) into the environment. Quadrofoil Q2 Electric is an extremely energy-efficient (energy costs < EUR 1/ hour) two-seat vessel with underwater wings (hydrofoils), which was created in response to market demands. Our innovative approach represents (r)evolution in the field of personal watercrafts. Due to its shape and hydrofoils it does not cause waves, thus providing a safe and comfortable ride without any harmful effects on health even in rough water. By using a patented steering system, we are the first in the world to convey the lightness and agility of driving a car to watercrafts with hydrofoils, allowing users unprecedented adrenaline experience of flying on the water, which was not possible before.

Konzumna jajca, obogatena z maščobnimi kislinami omega-3 Table eggs enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids
Kokošje jajce ima v človekovi prehrani pomembno vlogo zaradi dragocenih, biološko visokovrednih beljakovin, maščob, vitaminov in mineralov. Dokazano je, da uživanje maščobnih kislin omega-3 zmanjšuje tveganje za pojav kronične bolezni srca in ožilja pri odraslih ter omogoča primeren razvoj možganov in vida pri zarodku, dojenčku in otroku. Omega-3 je skupno ime za skupino dolgoverižnih, večkrat nenasičenih maščobnih kislin. Osredotočili smo se na iskanje rastlinskega vira maščobnih kislin omega-3, s katerim bi prek prehrane kokoši spremenili sestavo maščobnih kislin konzumnih jajc. Kot najbogatejši vir ALA se je pokazalo laneno seme. Ker to vsebuje linamarin, smo razvili postopek termične obdelave in protioksidacijske zaščite tako obdelanega semena. S krmnimi poskusi nam je uspelo pridelati jajca, ki vsebujejo šestkrat več maščobnih kislin omega-3 kot navadna jajca, od tega trikrat več DHA in 0,089 ut% EPA. Tudi razmerje med maščobnimi kislinami omega-6 in omega-3, znaša zelo ugodnih 2,55 v primerjavi s 14,1 pri navadnih jajcih. 16
Hen eggs play an important role in human nutrition due to proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals with high biological value. It has been proven that consumption of Omega-3 fatty acids reduces the risk of chronic cardiovascular diseases in adults and contributes to the proper development of the brain and sight in embryos, babies and children. Omega-3 is a common name for the group of long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids. We have focused on the search for a plant source of Omega-3 fatty acids with which we could change the fatty-acid composition of table eggs through the nutrition of hens. Linseed proved to be the richest source of ALA. Because this seed contains linamarin, we developed a process of thermal treatment and antioxidant protection for seeds treated in this way. Through feed tests we have managed to produce eggs that contain 6 times more Omega-3 fatty acids than usual eggs, from that 3 times more DHA and 0.089 ut% EPA. Also the ratio between Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids equals to a very satisfactory 2.55 in comparison to 14.1 with usual eggs.

HealthStation HealthStation
HealthStation sestoji iz brezžičnih modulov in osrednje enote. Brezžični moduli omogočajo meritve EKG-ja, gleženjskega indeksa, nadlahtnega tlaka in spirometirje, dodajati pa je mogoče tudi nove meritve. Dovršeni algoritmi iz podatkov, zbranih s pomočjo modulov, izračunajo dodatne parametre in meritve, kot je na primer hitrost pulznega vala. Vsi podatki se beležijo na enem mestu, kar daje zdravniku celostno poznavanje izmerjenih podatkov. Enovita predstavitev omogoča ustrezno diagnosticiranje in preprečuje možnost za napačno predpisano terapijo. Ugotovitve v ZDA kažejo, da letno umre sto tisoč ljudi zaradi napačno postavljene diagnoze in posledično neprimerne terapije. Podatki kar kličejo po spremembi zdravstvenega sistema in poenostavitvi zbiranja informacij o posameznikovem zdravstvenem stanju. V podjetju MESI se tega zavedamo in zato podpiramo zdravnike s to enovito rešitvijo, ki jim omogoča nepretrgano spremljanje bolnika ter prilagajanja terapije njegovim potrebam.
HealthStation is composed of wireless modules and the central unit. Wireless modules facilitate measurement of the ECG, the ankle-brachial index, the upper arm blood pressure and spirometry. Sophisticated algorithms also calculate the speed of the pulse wave. All data are recorded in one place and provide the physician with a comprehensive overview of the measured data. Uniform presentation facilitates appropriate diagnoses and prevents the possibility of wrongly prescribed therapy. Findings from the USA show that 100,000 people per year die due to incorrect diagnoses and subsequently inappropriate therapy. The data show the need for change in the health care system and for the simplification of gathering information about an individual’s health status. MESI is aware of that and we therefore support physicians with a unified solution that allows them to continuously monitor the patient and adjust the therapy according to their needs.

Žični uničevalec plevela Flossing Weedkiller
Žični uničevalec plevela je orodje, ki omogoča učinkovito in okolju prijazno obdelovanje zemlje: hitro spodrezavanje plevela, rahljanje in zračenje zemlje. Njegova uporaba je zelo enostavna med vrstami, saj ne poškoduje rastlin, plevel pa lahko enostavno in hitro odstranimo tik ob rastlinah. Prav tako omogoča učinkovito odstranjevanje plevela in drugega manjšega rastja na dvoriščih, posutih s peskom, in drugih površinah. Če plevela ne spodreže, ga izruva skupaj s koreninami. V primerjavi s klasičnim vrtnim orodjem je delo z žičnim uničevalcem plevela hitrejše in enostavnejše, pri čemer vas samo orodje prisili v pokončni položaj – ravno nasprotno, kot je delo z motiko. Izdelan je iz vzmetnega jekla, kar omogoča, da se material kljub velikim silam vrača v prvotni položaj (kot vzmet). Žica je izdelana iz vzmetnega nerjavnega materiala, zato da ne korodira (zarjavi), med tem ko ga ne uporabljamo (zlasti čez zimo).

The Flossing Weedikiller is a tool that allows for efficient and environment friendly land cultivation by quick undercutting of weeds, tilling and aeration of the soil. It is very easy to use between rows, because it does not damage the plants and because weeds growing right by the plants can be quickly and easily removed. It enables efficient control of weeds and other small vegetation in sand-covered courtyards and on other surfaces. If it does not undercut the weeds it uproots them. Compared to traditional gardening tools, working with Flossing Weedkiller is faster and simpler as the tool itself makes you stand up straight, which is exactly the opposite of using a hoe. It is made of a spring steel which allows the material to return (as a spring) to its original shape even though it is exposed to strong force. The wire is made of springy stainless steel, so it is resistant to corrosion (it does not rust) for the period when the tool is not in use (especially during the winter).

Pasivna lesena okna so v večini primerov izdelana iz lesenih okenskih profilov z vgrajenimi sintetičnimi izolacijskimi materiali. Postopek izdelave takih oken je časovno potraten, izdelki so posledično dražji, okna pa niso v celoti izdelana iz obnovljivih materialov. Pasivno okno Natura Optimo XLT pomeni inovacijo v segmentu pasivnih oken, je bistveno izboljšan model osnovnega lesenega okna in je v celoti izdelano iz lesa. Les je posebna smrekovina slovenskega porekla, katere zgradba in lastnosti so spremenjene po patentiranem postopku termične modifikacije, ki je plod slovenskega razvoja. In most cases passive wooden windows are made with wooden window-frames which have built-in synthetic insulating materials. The manufacturing process of this kind of windows is time-consuming, products are consequently more expensive and windows are not made entirely from renewable sources. Passive Window Nature Optima XLT is an innovation among passive windows; it is a substantially improved basic wooden window model and it is entirely made of wood. The wood is a special Slovenian spruce with modified structure and characteristics obtained by a patented process of thermal modification developed in Slovenia. It has high thermal efficiency, but it s also significantly more durable and has more dimensional stability. As such it is the only certified passive window in the world. Passive Window Nature Optimo XLT is cost and ecologically effective, which was confirmed by winning first prize for the most cost-effective wooden passive window in the world in the international competition held by the German Institute Passivhaus.

LIMNOS je vodilno podjetje na področju rastlinskih čistilnih naprav (RČN) v Sloveniji. V teh letih smo zgradili številne RČN za čiščenje komunalnih odpadnih voda iz naselij in posameznih gospodinjstev, industrijskih obratov, izcednih voda z odlagališč komunalnih odpadkov in padavinskega odtoka s cestišč. Razvoj metode temelji na številnih raziskavah uporabe različnih rastlinskih vrst, peščenih substratov in načinov pretoka vode, ki omogočajo učinkovito odstranjevanje onesnaževal iz vode s pomočjo fizikalnih in kemijskih procesov, mikrobnega delovanja in rastlinskega privzema.
LIMNOS is a leading company in the area of constructed wetlands (CW) in Slovenia. In these years we have built many CWs for wastewater treatment in urban settlements and individual households, industrial establishments, leachate from urban waste landfills and road drainages. The method’s development was based on numerous studies of various plant species usage, sand substrates and water flows that facilitate the efficient removal of pollutants from water with the help of physical and chemical processes, microbial activity and plant uptake. Polimerno vezivo za vodni avtoreparaturni sistem Polymeric binder for water-based automotive refinishing system
Inovacija je novo polimerno vezivo za izdelavo sodobnih avtoreparaturnih premazov na vodni osnovi in tehnološki postopek za njegovo izdelavo. Novi nanomaterial v obliki vodne disperzije omogoča pripravo zgornjega sloja avtoreparaturega sistema, ki določa nianso premaza. Posebnost novo razvitega akrilnega polimernega veziva je med drugim v možnosti regulacije viskoznosti in drugih tokovnih lastnosti premazov. Slednje ključno vpliva na doseganje ustrezne kakovosti kovinskih in briljantnih nians, katerih delež v avtomobilski industriji znaša že več kakor 80 odstotkov. Inovativno polimerno akrilno vezivo na vodni osnovi tudi omogoča zamenjavo premazov na osnovi hlapnih organskih snovi (HOS), kar je v skladu z najnovejšimi zakonodajnimi zahtevami EU in trga premazov za avtomobilsko industrijo. S tem posledično znatno zmanjšujemo izpostavljenost škodljivim HOS naših kupcev avtoličarjev.
This innovation is a new polymeric binder for manufacturing modern water-based automotive refinishing coatings and the technological process for its manufacturing. A new nanomaterial in the form of an aqueous dispersion makes it possible to prepare the top layer of the automotive refinishing system, which defines the shade of the coating. The specificity of a newly developed acrylic polymer binder includes the possibility of regulating the viscosity and other flow properties of coatings. The latter has a crucial impact on achieving the adequate quality of metallic and brilliant shades, whose share in the automotive industry is already over 80 percent. The innovative polymer acrylic binder is water-based and allows for coatings to be replaced on the basis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which is in accordance with the latest EU legislative requirements and the market of coatings for the automotive industry. Consequently, it significantly reduces the exposure of our customers, car painters, to harmful VOCs.

Nova polnilna postaja za električna vozila iz Etrela se ponaša s svojo kompaktnostjo, zmogljivostjo in lepim videzom. The new Etrel charging unit for electrical vehicles is compact, with high performance and a nice design. It lets the user charge all standard electrical vehicles with power up to 22 kW and it supports the integration of power systems or a facility into smart systems. Its unique characteristic is the integrated user interface that can be accessed from every mobile device or computer. It facilitates charger unit management, control of charging and an overview of past energy consumption. The charging unit supports user identification that usage to be limited in public places. The charging unit’s main advantage is variable charging power that ensures that a vehicle (or several vehicles on a joint charger) is always safely charged without overloading the electric outlet. Simple installation, maintenance and upgrading ensure a long-term and affordable solution by making a charging station in a home garage or in public or semi-private location.

Robotiziran avtomat za sladoled Robotised ice cream machine
Stroj je zasnovan tako, da omogoča popolnoma avtomatizirano izdelavo in postrežbo svežega sladoleda in zmrznjenega jogurta. Doziranje je odvisno od vnesenega zneska, ki je lahko med 0,50 in 2 evra. Sladoled in jogurt se izdeluje sproti, kar pomeni, da je vedno svež in okusen, kapaciteta izdelanega je čez 500 kepic dnevno. Doziranje je mogoče v kornet ali lonček. Poleg sladoleda in jogurta lahko pripravi še ledeno kavo in sadno kupo s svežim sadjem s čokoladnim prelivom. Za doziranje in postrežbo potrebuje le slabih sedem sekund. Zanimivo pripravo, ki jo vodi robotska roka, je mogoče opazovati na sprednji strani skozi zastekljeno odprtino. Po daljšem času, ko stroj ne dozira, se sproži funkcija avtomatskega čiščenja oziroma pranja določenih mehanizmov, ki jih čisti robotska roka. Z uporabo naprednega krmilnika, tudi prek GSM-sporočil, robot obvešča upravljavca ali serviserja o različnih statusih, kot so: prenizka količina mase in surovin, pripravi poročilo dnevnega prometa, javlja napake v delovanju, vgrajen ima alarm proti vandalizmu in kraji. Stroj je mogoče
priključiti na omrežno napetost, deluje tiho in zavzame zelo malo prostora. Primeren je za postavitev v centre, letališča, železniške in avtobusne postaje, zasebne lokale, restavracije ali za postavitev na pločnik. The machine is designed in a way that it prepares and serves fresh ice cream and frozen yoghurt automatically. The amount dispensed is based on an entered amount between 0.50 and 2 EUR. Ice cream and frozen yoghurt are prepared as they are served, which means they are always fresh and tasty. Production capacity is over 500 scoops per day, which can be dispensed into a cone or a cup. In addition to ice cream and frozen yoghurt, it can also prepare iced coffee and a fruit cup with fresh fruit and chocolate topping. Dispensing and serving only take 7 seconds. The interesting preparation carried out by the robotic arm can be viewed through a glass opening. When the machine does not dispense over a longer period of time, it triggers an automatic cleaning function of certain mechanisms, which is also performed by the
robotic arm. The robot gives the operator or service provider status updates via an advanced controller as well as per SMS, for instance when the volume of mixture or ingredients is too low, it prepares reports on daily sales, it has a built-in alarm against vandalism and theft. The machine can be connected to the mains voltage, it operates silently and takes very little space. Suitable for different centres, airports, railway and bus stations, private bars, restaurants or side walks.

Maramoto, sobni tek po terenu Maramoto Indoor Field Running
Tekoči trak (transporter), preurejen za rekreacijski in kondicijski tek, z naslednjimi osnovnimi značilnostmi: • samodejno prilagajanje hitrosti traku tekaču (ni potrebno nastavljanje hitrosti teka), • sinhronizirano predvajanje izbrane posnete poti (video posnetek se predvaja s hitrostjo, kot jo narekuje tek tekača), • sinhronizirano nagibanje tekalne proge skladno z reliefom posnete poti (tekalna proga se nagiba skladno s posnetim reliefom dejanske poti in tako posnema tek po realni progi). Druge značilnosti: samodejno prilagajanje hitrosti spodbuja tekača k samoiniciativnosti oziroma notranji motivaciji, dodatni motivatorji so: prikaz pretečene/preostale poti, video posnetek, ki ga dobesedno “poganjamo” z lastnimi tekom, in še nagibanje traku, ki v tek vgradi realistične vzpone in spuste. Z opisanimi elementi in potencialom programske opreme v nadzorni enoti (računalniku) je 24
mogoče izvesti tek po izbrani progi, Cooperjev test, dolgoprogaški štafetni tek z več tekači, hojo in še marsikaj. A converted treadmill (the transporter) for recreational and base running with following characteristics: • speed is automatically adjusted to the runner (running speed does not need to be adjusted), • synchronized transmission of the chosen recorded path (video speed is aligned with runner’s activity), • synchronized treadmill tilting to the contour of recorded route (treadmill tilting is aligned with the recorded contour of the actual path and this way it imitates running on the real route). Other Features: Automatic speed adjustment encourages the runner to motivate themselves. Additional motivators include display of current achievement/remaining distance, a video that is literally powered by the runner’s speed, and
tilting of the treadmill, which adds realistic ascents and descents to running. Rotacijska črpalka s pozitivno prostornino Rotary pump with positive volume
Rotacijska črpalka s pozitivno prostornino ima rotirajoče, nihajoče segmente v cilindričnem ohišju, ki vsesavajo in tlačijo tekočino skozi dovodne in odvodne kanale v cilindričnem ohišju. Problem, ki ga rešuje ta izum, je mehanična in hidravlična učinkovitost rotacijske črpalke s pozitivno delovno prostornino in možnost delovanja črpalke pri različnem številu obratov, kar omogoča direktno vpetje na električni motor z možnostjo regulacije števila obratov. Največja prednost črpalke je, da lahko z njo črpamo onesnažene vode brez dodatnega razbijanja delcev in penjenja tekočin v črpalki, kar je največja težava pri klasičnih centrifugalnih črpalkah. Druga prednost črpalke je, da je samo sesalna in ne potrebuje nepovratnih ventilov. Tretja prednost je, da lahko deluje z različnimi tlačnimi pritiski in je uporabna za pretakanje različnih tekočin.
The rotary pump with positive volume has rotating, oscillating segments in a cylindrical housing, which absorb and press the liquid through inlet and outlet channels in the cylindrical housing. The problem solved by this invention is the mechanical and hydraulic efficiency of a rotary pump with positive volume performance and the possibility of functioning at different number of turns, which allows for direct mounting on an electric motor, making it possible regulating the number of turns. The biggest advantage of this pump is that it can pump contaminated water without additional particles breaking or liquids foaming within the pump, which is the biggest problem with conventional centrifugal pumps. The second advantage of the pump is that it only works as a vacuum, and therefore does not require non-return valves. The third advantage of the pump is that it can function under various pressures and can be used for streaming different liquids.

Prodali smo več 3D-tiskalnikov in odzivi strank so pozitivni. Prva stranka si je povrnila stroške stroja skoraj v enem mesecu in zdaj že opravlja tiskarske storitve. Poleg poslovnih strank imamo tudi posameznike, ki uporabljajo stroj v različne namene. Po informacijah naših strank je stroj primeren za zasebno uporabo in tudi za velika podjetja. Pozitivni odzivi so plod celotne konstrukcije stroja, ki je res edinstvena, kjer vsi posamezni deli delujejo skupaj kot celota. Stroj je sestavljen iz pločevine, razrezane na laserju in krivljene z visoko kakovostjo, ki omogoča sestavo stroja v slogu origamija. Temu primerno smo razvili popolnoma nov magnetni zglob, ki ga ne boste videli nikjer drugje. Poleg tega smo konstrukcijsko rešili kalibracijo stroja s posebnim vpetjem šobe, ki omogoča kalibracijo stroja natančnosti do +/-0,1 mm.

We have sold several 3D printers and customer reactions are positive. Our first customer recovered product costs almost in one month and now they are already providing printing services. In addition to business customers, there are also individuals who use the product for different purposes. Information from existing customers shows that this product is suitable for private use as well as for large companies. Positive responses are the result of the whole structure of the machine, which is really unique, where all the individual parts are working together as a whole. The machine consists of a sheet of metal that is laser-cut and precisely bent which enables the composition of the machine in origami style. Accordingly, we have developed a completely new magnetic ball joint that you will not see anywhere else. In addition, regarding the design, we have solved the calibration of the machine with a special clamping nozzle, allowing the machine to be calibrated to a machine accuracy of +-0.1 mm.

Univerzalna separacijsko-filtracijska čistilna naprava Universal separation-filtration treatment plant
Univerzalna separacijsko-filtracijska čistilna naprava je sestavljena iz dveh zaporednih naprav, ki lahko delujeta posamezno kot separacija, posamezno kot filtracija ali skupno: 1. Visoko učinkovit patentirani separator za prečiščevanje onesnaženih voda z mastjo, oljem in trdimi delci sestavlja separator, v katerega priteče onesnažena voda v patentirani koalescer. Od tam odteka v patentirano nastavljivo napravo za odtekanje olja iz separatorja. Onesnažena voda se prečisti samo v separatorju. 2. Vode, onesnažene s težkimi kovinami in različnimi kemikalijami, se filtrirajo v filtracijskem sistemu, prilagojenem za onesnažene vode, ki se prečistijo samo v filtracijskem sistemu. 3. Če je voda onesnažena z mastjo, oljem, trdimi delci, težkimi kovinami in različnimi kemikalijami, se najprej prečisti v gravitacijskem separatorju in nato v filtracijskem sistemu. Delovanje sistema omogoča ročno ali avtomatsko voden krmilni sistem.
The Universal separation-filtration treatment plant consists of two successive devices which can be operated individually for separation or filtration, as well as jointly: 1. A highly effective patented separator for purifying contaminated water with fats, oils and solids. It consists of a separator in which the contaminated water flows in the patented coalescer. From there water flows into the patented adjustable device and the oil drains from the separator. Contaminated water can only be purified in the separator. 2. Contaminated water with heavy metals and various chemicals is filtered through a system adapted for contaminated water, which is purified only in the filtration system. 3. If the water is contaminated with grease, oil, solids, heavy metals and various chemicals, it is first purified in the gravitational separator and then in the filtration system. The operation of the system is enabled by a control system which can be manipulated manually or automatically.

Učim se brati I am learing to read
Didaktična škatla UČIM SE BRATI je didaktični pripomoček za začetno učenje branja. Vsebuje vse, kar otrok potrebuje za kakovostno in pravilno učenje branja. Natančno po korakih ga vodi do tekočega branja. Uporablja jo lahko za učenje branja ali kot pripomoček za odpravljanje težav pri branju. Didaktična škatla UČIM SE BRATI je narejena na podlagi dolgoletnih izkušenj dela z otroki. Temelji na inovativni metodi učenja branja po korakih. V prvem koraku vadimo hitro prepoznavanje in poimenovanje črk. V drugem koraku se naučimo vezave črk v zloge. Nadaljujemo s povezovanjem zlogov v besede. V zadnjem koraku vezano beremo povedi in besedila ter urimo razumevanje prebranega in ustno izražanje.
The didactic box “I AM LEARING TO READ” is a teaching device for learning the basics of reading. It contains everything children need for learning to read properly and at a high level. It transparently guides them through the steps of learning how to read. It can be used for learning how to read, or as a tool for troubleshooting in reading. The didactic box “I AM LEARING TO READ” was made on the basis of years of experience working with children. It is based on an innovative method of learning to read gradually. In the first step, we practice to quickly identify and name letters. In the second step, we learn to string letters into syllables. We continue by connecting syllables into words. In the last step, we read sentences and texts as well as we practice reading comprehension and oral expression.

Pripomoček za upravljanje računalniških naprav za slepe in gluhoslepe Device for managing computing devices for blind and deaf-blind
Pripomoček za upravljanje računalniških naprav za slepe in gluhoslepe omogoča uporabo namiznih in prenosnih računalnikov, tabličnih računalnikov, dlančnikov, pametnih telefonov in vseh drugih naprav, ki za komunikacijo z uporabnikom uporabljajo zaslon, občutljiv na dotik, in znajo ta dotik pretvoriti v vibracijo različne jakosti ali frekvence. Značilnost tega izuma je, da ima mehanski dodatek v obliki rastrske mreže, razprostrte preko klasičnega, na dotik občutljivega zaslona naprave, in s tem slepim in gluhoslepim osebam omogoča prostorsko orientacijo na sicer gladki površini ekrana ter s tem možnost učinkovite uporabe katere koli sodobne serijsko proizvedene naprave, ki zna večtočkovni dotik izraziti z vibracijo različnih jakosti ali frekvenc, pri čemer komunikacija s slepim uporabnikom poteka z uporabo posameznih sestavljenih znakov brajice in menijskih vrstic, branje brajice pa poteka s pomočjo razpoznavanja matrike 2 x 3 prek vibracijskega odziva naprave.
The device for managing computing devices makes it possible for blind and deaf-blind to use desktop computers, laptops, tablets, palmtops, smart phones and any other devices that communicate with users using a touch-sensitive screen, and can convert a touch into the vibration of different strength or frequency. The innovative device is characterized by a mechanical add-on in the form of a raster grid which is spread out over the traditional touch screen device. It gives blind and deaf-blind persons spatial orientation for the otherwise smooth screen surface and hence the effective use of any modern serial produced device that knows how to express multipoint touch with different vibration intensity or frequency, whereby the communication with blind users via individual composite characters of Braille and menu bars as well as the reading of Braille takes place via 2x3 matrix recognition by the device’s vibration.

Večfunkcijski katalizator za pretvorbo plinskih zmesi CH4 in CO2 v sintezni plin Multifunctional Catalyst for efficient CH4 and CO2 gas mixture conversion into synthesis gas
Pretvorba metana in presežnega ogljikovega dioksida v sintezni plin je privlačen način uporabe plinskih zmesi iz procesov pridobivanja bioplina iz biološko razgradljivih odpadkov z anaerobnimi mikroorganizmi, nekaterih oblik uplinjanja biomase in številnih drugih virov. Na Kemijskem inštitutu smo razvili katalizator za učinkovito sočasno pretvorbo metana in ogljikovega dioksida v sintezni plin, ki je uporaben kot bodisi kvaliteten energent bodisi surovina za proizvodnjo sintetičnih goriv in drugih specialnih kemikalij. Pridobljeni sintezni plin ima od 20 do 30 % večjo energijsko vrednost kot vhodni plin. Proces hkrati odpravlja predstopnjo čiščenja ogljikovega dioksida, ki je potrebna v sodobnih postopkih izkoriščanja metana. Napredna zasnova cenovno dostopnega katalizatorja omogoča obratovanje pri blagih reakcijskih pogojih (T<800 °C, P = 1–20 bar) ob doseganju visoke aktivnosti, stabilnega dolgoročnega obratovanja in predvsem odsotnosti poogljičenja površine katalizatorja.

Conversion of methane and excess carbon dioxide into synthesis gas is an attractive way to use gas mixtures from biogas production from biologically degradable waste with anaerobic bacteria, some types of biomass gasification and numerous other sources. The National Institute of Chemistry developed a catalyst for efficient simultaneous conversion of methane and carbon dioxide into synthesis gas that is useful either as a high-quality energy product or as a raw material used in production of synthetic fuels and other special chemicals. The synthesis gas has 20 to 30 % higher energy value than input gas. The process simultaneously pre-cleans carbon dioxide, which is a necessary component in modern methods of methane utilisation. The advanced concept of an affordable catalyst makes operating in mild reaction conditions possible (T<800 °C, P=1–20 bar) by achieving high activity, stable long-term operation and above all the absence of a carbonized catalyst surface.

Superhidrofobna površina lesa Superhydrophobic wood surface
Les je na prostem izpostavljen delovanju biotskih in abiotskih dejavnikov razkroja. V naravi so ti procesi zaželeni, kadar pa ga uporabljamo v gospodarske namene, jih skušamo čim bolj upočasniti. V preteklosti so v te namene uporabljali predvsem biocidne izdelke. Najnovejše rešitve temeljijo na tem, da les ohranimo suh. To lahko dosežemo tudi s hidrofobnimi pripravki. V okviru te inovacije smo kombinirali dva pristopa. Najprej smo les obdelali z vodno emulzijo izbranega termično stabilnega voska, nato pa smo ga termično modificirali. S tem smo z nizko porabo voska dosegli izjemen hidrofobni učinek. Termična modifikacija lesa je poleg dobre mikrodistribucije voska prispevala še k boljši dimenzijski stabilnosti in odpornosti lesa proti glivam. Tako dobimo odličen material, ki je uporaben za lesene pohodne površine, strešnike, vrtno pohištvo, obloge ... Novost že preizkušamo v realnih pogojih.
When outdoors, wood is exposed to various factors of biotic and abiotic decomposition. In nature, these processes are desirable, but when the wood is used for commercial purposes, we try to mitigate as much as possible. In the past, mainly biocidal products were used for these purposes. The latest solutions are based on the principle of keeping the wood dry, which can also be achieved with hydrophobic formulations. In the context of this innovation, two approaches were combined. Firstly, wood was treated with an aqueous emulsion of a selected thermally stable wax, then it was thermally modified. This is how a remarkable hydrophobic effect was achieved with low consumption of wax. In addition to good microdistribution of wax, the thermal modification of wood contributed to better dimensional stability and the wood’s resistance to fungi. This results in an excellent material, which is useful for wooden tread surfaces, tiles, garden furniture, casings, etc. This new method is already being tested in real conditions.

Oklepna pločevina za potrebe Nata Armoured plate for the needs of NATO
Oklepna pločevina za potrebe Nata predstavlja razvoj vrhunskega proizvoda, jekla nove generacije PROTAC 500. Njen osnovni namen je varovanje življenja in premoženja fizičnih in pravnih oseb oziroma subjektov. S svojimi odličnimi mehanskimi lastnostmi, med katere poleg standardnih tehnoloških karakteristik, kot so dobre natezne lastnosti, odlična udarna žilavost pri nizkih temperaturah, trdota in upogib, prištevamo tudi balistično testiranje, kjer ima oklepna pločevina PROTAC 500 v primerjavi s konkurenco nižje zahtevane debeline za zaščito po Natovih standardih. Zmanjšanje potrebne debeline vpliva na maso in je izrednega pomena predvsem pri vozilih, v katere je vgrajena pločevina PROTAC 500, saj ima v povezavi s tem tudi pomemben energetski in ekološki vidik. Oklepna pločevina PROTAC 500 se dobro upogiba in je lahko variva. Pri razvoju jekla je bila uporabljena napredna tehnologija samopopuščenega martenzita, ki omogoča izdelavo oklepne pločevine PROTAC 500 z eno samo toplotno obdelavo. 32
PROTAC 500, an armoured plate for the pose of NATO, represents a world-class product, made of new generation of steel. Its primary purpose is to protect the lives and property of both natural and legal persons or entities. It has excellent mechanical properties, including standard technological characteristics, such as good tensile properties, excellent impact strength at low temperatures, hardness and deflection as well as ballistic testing, where the PROTAC 500 armoured plate is made according to NATO standards as it has lower required thickness of protection in comparison to the competition. The reduction of required thickness affects the mass and is of great importance especially for vehicles with an integrated PROTAC 500 plate, as accordingly, it has an important energy and environmental aspect. The PROTAC 500 armoured plate has a good flexibility for bending and may be welded. While developing the steel, only the advanced technology of self-tempered martensite was used, which makes it possible to manufacture the PROTAC 500 armoured plate with a single heat treatment.

V gradnjo večnamenskih motornih čolnov z modelom Optiwave 575 vpeljujemo prilagojeno tehnologijo gradnje vrhunskih tekmovalnih jadrnic, s čimer znatno zmanjšujemo težo plovila in hkrati izboljšujemo mehanske lastnosti. Za večnamenski čoln Optiwave 575 smo razvili nov koncept uporabnosti plovila za končnega kupca. Oblika trupa čolna zagotavlja udobno plovbo po valovitem morju in je izjemno energijsko učinkovita. Zasnova čolna omogoča večnamensko uporabo, in sicer profesionalno rabo (ribištvo, pomoč na morju, servis plovil na morju) kakor tudi za šport in razvedrilo. Glavne inovacije, ki smo jih vpeljali za široko uporabnost, so: • oblika trupa z globokim »V« v premčnih presekih, • gradnja čolna v celoti po okolju prijazni tehnologiji vakuumske infuzije, ki zagotavlja znatno nižjo težo plovila in hkrati izboljšane mehanske lastnosti, • uporaba obnovljivih virov v strukturi čolna (pluta), • prilagodljiva razporeditev na palube glede na namen uporabe plovila.
The construction of the multi-purpose model Optiwave 575 motor boat sees us introducing customized technology for building high performance sail boats, which significantly reduces the weight of the vessel and at the same time improves mechanical properties. We have developed a new concept of vessel usability of the vessel for the end customer of the multi-purpose Optiwave 575. The shape of the boat’s hull provides for comfortable sailing on rough seas and is extremely energy efficient. The boat’s design makes it perfect for both professional use (fisheries, maritime assistance, vessel service at sea) as well as sport and recreation. The main innovations we introduced for broad applicability are:
• use of renewable energy sources in the structure of the boat (cork), • adaptable layout of the deck depending on the intended use of the vessel.
• shape of the hull with a deep “V” in the bow sections, • building the boat with completely environmentally friendly vacuum infusion technology, which provides significantly lower weight of the vessel and at the same time improved mechanical properties,

Panel Savonius mikro vetrnih elektrarn – PSMVE Savonius Panel Micro Wind Turbines – PSMWT
Panel Savonius mikro vetrnih elektrarn (PSMVE) je naprava, ki se namesti na obstoječe stebričke balkonske ograje objekta (večstanovanjskega, poslovnega ali individualne hiše), med stebričke ograje (vrtne, okrog industrijskih ali športnih objektov), na protihrupno zaščito ob prometnicah (pri tem je mogoče izkoriščati tudi vrtinčenja zraka okoli mimovozečih vozil) ali kjer koli drugje, kjer je na razpolago dovolj vetra. Osnovni namen panela je proizvodnja električne energijo iz obnovljivega vira energije (OVE) – vetra. PSMVE so zaključene enote s polnilnim regulatorjem ali razsmernikom, ki omogoča enostaven priklop na shranjevalnike električne energije – akumulatorje ali na druge električne porabnike. PSMVE s proizvodnjo električne energije zmanjša obremenjenost objekta zaradi moči sunkov vetra, saj panel odvzame vetru del moči in jo pretvori v električno energijo. Vetrna turbina je vertikalna in neodvisna od smeri vetra, kar izjemno poveča uporabnost inovativne ideje. PSMVE je inovativen pristop in domiselna rešitev, ki je zaključena celota pri mikrogeneratorjih moči, ki izkoriščajo OVE. 34
PSMVE ima tudi velik potencialni trg, saj je izdelek globalno zanimiv, posebno ob upoštevanju naraščajočih trendov izkoriščanja obnovljivih virov energije. Savonius panel micro wind turbine (PSMVE) is a device that can be installed on a building balcony’s already existing railing pillars (apartment building, business building or individual house), between fence pillars (of a garden, around industrial buildings or sport facilities), noise barriers on roads (here air circulation around passing vehicles can also be exploited) or in any other places where there is sufficient wind. The panel’s primary purpose is electrical energy production from the wind, which is a renewable energy source (RES). PSMVEs are self-contained units with a charging regulator (rectified current source) that enables simple connection to electrical energy storages - accumulators or to other electricity users. Producing electrical energy by PSMVE decreases the wind’s impact on the building because the panel collects some of the wind power and converts
it to electrical energy. The wind turbine is vertical and independent of the wind direction, which significantly increases usefulness of the innovative idea. PSMVE represents an innovative approach and a good solution that introduces a comprehensive product among micro power generators that exploit RES. PSMVE also has a large potential market, since the product is globally attractive, especially considering the increasing trends of exploitation of renewable energy sources.

Kaj se lahko učimo s pomočjo črva:

Pri učenju s črvom otrok s pomočjo štetja sam pride do rezultata, ga umesti na ustrezno polje in na koncu vidi vse večkratnike v vrstnem redu, kot si sledijo. S tem ko jih vidi in še enkrat glasno prebere, si jih tudi hitreje in učinkoviteje zapomni. Funkcija črva je tudi ta, da v različnih izvedbah (leseni, šivani, plastificirani) omogoča krepitev finomotoričnih in grafomotoričnih spretnosti ter uri koordinacijo oko-roka.
When learning with the worm, children use counting to arrive at a result on their own, they place it in an appropriate field and in the end see all the multiples in the order they appear. By seeing them and reading them aloud once again, they also memorise them more quickly and effectively. Different versions of the worm (wood, sewn, plastic) also facilitates enhancing fine motor and graphomotor skills as well as hand-eye coordination.

Pridobivanje zunajceličnih veziklov za diagnostiko in terapijo Extracellular vesicle production for diagnostics and therapy
Naš cilj je razviti in optimizirati hitro, enostavno in poceni diagnostično metodo, ki temelji na pridobivanju zunajceličnih veziklov (ZV) iz periferne krvi, ter jo vključiti v klinično uporabo. Prednost metode je, da temelji na uporabi naravi prijaznih materialov in tehnologij, ne zahteva žrtvovanja poskusnih živali in bi lahko nadomestila obstoječe, do bolnika agresivne invazivne diagnostične postopke (npr. biopsije), saj vključuje odvzem le nekaj mililitrov krvi. Slaba ponovljivost in zanesljivost rezultatov ter nepopolne tehnološke rešitve za pridobivanje in določanje zunajceličnih veziklov so glavni vzrok, zakaj metoda še ni klinično uporabljena. V ta namen smo s podjetjem Domel, d. o. o., razvili izboljšano opremo za temperaturno regulacijo v centrifugah Centric 200R in 400R. V tovarni Domel so izdelali termobloke za vzdrževanje večjega števila vzorcev na želeni telesni temperaturi in novi nihajoči rotor Liliput za ti dve hitri centrifugi. Trenutno na trgu podobnega izdelka še ni.

Our goal is to develop and optimize a fast, simple and cheap diagnostic method based on extracellular vesicle production from peripheral blood and include it in clinical use. The advantage of the method is that it is based on environmentally friendly materials and technology usage, it does not need test animals, and it could replace the existing aggressive diagnostic procedures (i.e. biopsy) for the patient, as only few ml of blood are needed. Poor repeatability and reliability of results and incomplete technological solutions for production and defining of EV are the main reasons for the method not yet being present in clinical use. Accordingly, we developed in collaboration with Domel d.o.o. improved temperatureregulation equipment in centrifuge Centric 200R and 400R. Domel d.o.o. made a thermoblock for preservation of numerous samples at a desired body temperature and a new swinging rotor “Liliput” for the two high-speed centrifuges. There is no similar product on the market at the moment.

SOFC Blower – puhalo za visokogorivne temperaturne celice SOFC Blower for high-temperature fuel cells
Izdelek je vzporedni rezultat sodelovanja na mednarodnem projektu s področja SOFC-gorivnih celic. Sistem delovanja SOFC-gorivnih celic je namenjen dolgotrajnemu neprekinjenemu delovanju pri temperaturah nad 600 °C. Izkoristki so zaradi teh pogojev obratovanja izredno pomembni. Obstajal je le en izdelek konkurence, ki pa zahtevam ni zadoščal. Med projektom je spontano prišlo do pogovora in povpraševanja po možnostih za novo puhalo. Posamezne elemente iz različnih Domelovih smo z veliko mero kreativnosti združili v novo celoto. Standardni elementi iz Domelovega programa so EC-motor in aerodinamske komponente, kot sta centrifugalno kolo in difuzor. Na novo je bilo razvito zunanje ohišje z izvirnim vpetjem puhala, ki omogoča zmanjšanje prenosa vibracij z motorja na ohišje ob sočasnem učinkovitem hlajenju elektronike, integrirane v zračni tok puhala. Celota daje preprosto in kompaktno rešitev z visokim izkoristkom in izvirno obliko za enostavno vgradnjo v končni sistem SOFC-gorivne
celice za alternativno vzporedno pridobivanje električne energije ob uporabi zemeljskega plina kot ogrevalnega medija v stanovanjskih enotah. The product is a parallel result of cooperation in an international project in the field of SOFC fuel cells. The system of SOFC fuel cells is designed for long-term continued operation at temperatures above 600 °C. These operating conditions enable important recoveries. Only one competitor’s product was on the market, but was inefficient. During the project a conversation and questions on the possibilities of a new blower spontaneously emerged. Individual elements were taken from various Domel programs and combined into a new unit by using a lot of creativity and new ideas. Standard elements from the Domel program are EC motor and aerodynamic components such as centrifugal wheel and diffuser. We have newly developed the external case, using innovative approaches to fixing the blower, which allows the reduction of the transmission
of vibration from the motor to the case and at the same time efficient cooling of electronics integrated into the blower’s airflow. All this represents a simple and compact solution with high efficiency and innovative design for easy installation in the final SOFC fuel cell system for parallel alternative electricity generation using natural gas as a heating medium in housing units.

Brezdotične večfunkcijske kontrole omogočajo, da z zapletenejšimi kretnjami pred površino senzorja upravljamo različne naprave ali da v sistem pošljemo različne ukaze (primer: zamah gor pomeni dvig rolete, zamah dol pa spust rolete ...). Izdelek posega na dvoje različnih in konfliktnih področij. Glavna (patentirana) inovativnost izdelka je, da učinkovito reši konflikt med estetiko in naraščajočo kompleksnostjo sistemov inteligentnih hiš. Brezdotične večfunkcijske kontrole ponujajo popolnoma novo rešitev težave. Ker je videz brezdotičnih kontrol popolnoma prilagodljiv prostoru, ga lahko oblikujemo tako, da kontrola ne kazi prostora in se lahko poljubno vključi vanj. To omogoči, da je lahko taka kontrola na zelo dostopnem in uporabnem mestu (recimo pri vhodu v prostor). Rešitev je patentirana in zato pomeni največjo mogočo raven inovativnosti, saj take rešitve do zdaj ni bilo in jo zaradi svetovno priznanega patenta konkurenca tudi ne bo mogla ponuditi.

Touchless multifunctional controls allow us to manage different devices with complex gestures in front of the sensor surface or to send different commands to the system. (example: an upstroke means raising the blinds, a downstroke means lowering the blinds, etc.) The product concerns two different and conflicting areas. The main (patented) innovation of the product is to effectively solve the conflict between aesthetics and the growing complexity of intelligent house systems. Touchless multifunctional controls offer a completely new solution to the problem. Since the appearance of touchless controls is fully customizable for any room, it can be designed so that the appearance of the control does not spoil the room or so it can be optionally engaged in the room. This allows that such control may be located in a very accessible and useful site (for example, at the entrance to the room). The solution is patented and therefore represents the highest possible level of innovation, since such solutions have so far not yet been developed and the competition will not be able to offer it due to the world-renowned patent.

Leseni poganjalček SPRINGO Wooden Balance Bicycle SPRINGO
Leseni otroški poganjalček SPRINGO je cenovno dostopen, lahek vzmetni poganjalček, ki lesa ne uporablja samo v estetske namene, ampak se v njem skriva predvsem konstrukcijski namen. Okvir iz vezane letve debeline 10–15 mm in širine 25 mm ima ravno pravo razmerje med trdnostjo in prožnostjo ter s tem omogoča optimalno blažitev otrokovega gibanja na poganjalčku. Kjer bi prišle do izraza pomanjkljivosti lesa, kot sta obraba in premajhna trdnost, smo se odločili za uporabo predizdelanih elementov iz aluminija in kovinskih podložk. Do zdaj je edini vzmetni poganjalček visokocenovni Kokua »Like a Bike jumper« z aluminijastim okvirjem, drugi leseni poganjalčki pa les uporabljajo bolj v estetske kot konstrukcijske namene. Naša konkurenčna prednost: • minimalna uporaba količine lesa, • teža lesenih delov okvirja je 0,0008 m² x 700 = 0,56 kg, • cena lesenih delov brez obdelave je okoli 1–2 evra, • avtomatsko vzmetenje, ki izhaja iz vezanih letev in njihove postavitve.
“SPRINGO”, a wooden balance bicycle, is an affordable, lightweight suspension bicycle, where wood is not used only for aesthetic purposes, but it also hides primarily structural purpose. Its frame, made of 10-15 mm thick and 25 mm wide composite panels, has an ideal balance between strength and flexibility, letting children mitigate their movement as much as possible. Where the shortcomings of wood, such as wear and lack of strength, would become evident, we decided to use prefabricated elements made of aluminium and metal washers. Until now, the only suspension balance bicycle was the high-price Kokua “Like a Bike Jumper” which has an aluminium frame. Other wooden balance bicycles use wood more for aesthetic than for construction purposes.

Inovacija je izdelek, ki je že bil na trgu in je danes veliko bolj razširjen v novi uporabi. TT200 je izdelek, ki je bil patentiran v Sloveniji in ima zaščito modela ter blagovne znamke v številnih državah. Med prvim in posodobljenim izdelkom je veliko novih izkušenj in aplikacij glede na okoliščine, v katerih se uporablja, in potrebe po vnašanju kisika v medij. Posodobljeni izdelek TT200 ima danes širok spekter uporabnosti, ker je bil naknadno preizkušen v različnih okoliščinah in v drugačne namene, in je tudi pokazal zelo dobre rezultate v specifičnem okolju, sprva le na podlagi teoretičnega znanja prisotnih v projektu njegovega posodabljanja ter v zaključni fazi raziskave najbolj optimalne uporabe izdelka z vidika kupčevih izkušenj.
This innovation is a product that has already been present in the market and today offers a broader use. TT200 is a product that was patented in Slovenia and has design and trade mark protection in many countries. Based on testing experiences the difference between the previous and current product is the ability of the latter to transfer oxygen into a range of invironments The product has a wide range of applications today, because it was subsequently tested in various conditions and for other purposes. It has also achieved very good results in a specific environment, at first based only on theoretical knowledge of T200 project participants and at the final stage based on research of customers’ optimal product use.

Disipativni granulirani materiali za dušenje vibracij in hrupa Dissipative granular materials for vibration and noise damping
Ta inovacija je del doktorske naloge in izvira iz tehnologije disipativnih granuliranih materialov (DGM), ki omogoča optimalno izkoriščanje dušilnih lastnosti polimernih materialov in s tem optimalno znižanje vibracij in hrupa. V sklopu projekta razvijamo novo generacijo dušilnih elementov na osnovi tehnologije DGM in temelji na rezultatih vrhunskih temeljnih raziskav na področju vpliva hidrostatičnega tlaka na časovno odvisno vedenje polimernih materialov ter na rezultatih preučevanja obnašanja elastomernih materialov v obliki granul z multimodalno porazdelitvijo velikosti delcev. Z vidika tehnične in komercialne inovativnosti lahko trdimo, da je rešitev inovativna, saj nobena izmed obstoječih rešitev za obvladovanje hrupa in vibracij ne izkorišča polnega potenciala polimernih materialov. Novo razvite dušilne elemente je mogoče uporabiti v različnih inženirskih aplikacijah: protipotresni dušilni elementi, tihi železniški pragovi, dušilni elementi za pralne stroje ipd.
The innovation we present is part of a PhD thesis and has its origins in dissipative granular materials technology, which enables the optimum use of polymeric materials’ damping properties, and therefore the optimum vibration and noise reduction. In this project we are developing a new generation of damping elements on the basis of DGM technology and the results of the cutting-edge basic research in the area of hydrostatic pressure influence on the time-dependent behaviour of polymeric materials as well as the results of studying the behaviour of elastomeric materials in the form of granules with multimodal particle size distribution. In terms of technical and commercial innovation, we can say that the solution is innovative, since none of the existing solutions for the control of noise and vibration exploits the full potential of polymeric materials. Newly developed damping elements can be used in various engineering applications: seismic damping elements, silent sleepers, damping elements for washing machines, etc.

Električno kolo VOZ Electric Bicycle VOZ
Električno kolo VOZ vsebuje večje število manjših inovativnih rešitev. Med njimi izstopata patentiran električni menjalnik in patentiran samopovratni polnilni mehanizem. Električni menjalnik omogoča enostavno preklapljanje med dvema režimoma vožnje odvisno od zahtevnosti terena. Tako je omogočena počasnejša vožnja v zahteven klanec in hitrejša vožnja po ravnini. Samopovratni polnilni mehanizem olajša iskanje polnilne postaje, saj omogoča direktno polnjenje na vsaki električni vtičnici, zato vozniku kolesa ni treba skrbeti, kako bo napolnil svojo baterijo. Celotno električno kolo je oblikovano tako, da ponuja uporabniku veliko odlagalnih površin, velik prtljažni prostor, LED-osvetlitev okolice, FM-radio, GPS-navigacijo s sledenjem in številne druge uporabne pripomočke. Oblika električnega kolesa je zaščitena z zaščito modela.
The VOZ electric bicycle contains numerous smaller innovative solutions. The two that stand out are patented electric transmission and patented self-retracting charging mechanism. Electric transmission allows for simple switching between the two riding regimes, depending on the terrain difficulty. It enables a slow ride up steep slopes and a faster ride on flat land. The self-retracting charging mechanism enables a simpler charginh process, because it can be directly charged on any electrical charging unit. The user does not have to worry about charging the battery. The electrical bike is designed to offer the user a lot of useful surfaces, big luggage compartment, LED lighting, FM radio, GPS navigation with tracking and many other handy accessories. The design of the bike is protected by the model protection.

Komunikacijska naprava za gluhoslepe Communication Device for deaf-blind people
Na podlagi dolgoletnega dela z gluhoslepimi se je pokazala potreba po izdelavi naprave za komunikacijo gluhoslepih s slišečimi in videčimi ter tudi med seboj. Razvita je posebna komunikacijska naprava, prek katere gluhoslepi zazna tresljaje na dlani in lahko prebira sporočila, ki jih napiše druga oseba z uporabo tipkovnice. V kombinaciji s pametnim telefonom je mogoče poslati SMS- sporočilo ali “chatati” prek SMS-sporočil. Taka naprava lahko izboljša kakovost življenja gluhoslepih.
The need for a communication device was recognized on the basis on many years experience of work with deaf-blind people . It would serve the deafblind to communicate among themselves as well as with people that can hear and see. We developed a special device that enables a deafblind person to feel vibrations in their hand and read messages typed by another person on a keyboard. In combination with a smartphone we can send text messages or use SMS chat. This kind of device will significantly improve deaf-blind people’s quality of life. Postopek kalibracije koničnih navojev Calibration procedure of conical threads
Gre za lastno razvito metodo kalibracije koničnih navojev, ki je na visoki zahtevnostni ravni. Metoda pomeni ključno kalibracijo pri pridobivanju zaupanja odjemalcev doma, predvsem pa na tujih trgih, kjer ima na splošno velik ugled. Zahtevnost metode se kaže v izračunu korekcij in merilnih negotovosti. Če ima povprečna kalibracija do 10 členov merilne negotovosti, jih imajo konične veličine čez 20, ki so med seboj še soodvisne. Inovacija pomeni praktične meritve na dolžinskem merilnem stroju, kjer je čas izvedbe tudi do 50 % manjši od zdaj znanih metod, saj vključuje merjenje v več dimenzijah hkrati. Je tudi sestavni del inovacije sistema za avtomatsko beleženje in uporabo vplivnih parametrov, kot so na primer temperatura stroja in merjenca ali sila merilnih tipal. Vse skupaj povezuje namenski programski vmesnik, razvit v programu QTree, ki omogoča izvedbo celotnega postopka merjenja s takojšnjimi avtomatskimi izračuni in izdelavo certifikata brez dodatnih posredovanj izvajalca.

This is a self-developed, highly complex method of calibrating conical threads. The method of calibration is key in acquiring the trust of clients at home, but mostly abroad where the method generally has a good reputation. The complexity of the method is seen in the calculation of corrections and measurement uncertainties. If an average calibration has up to 10 parts of measurement uncertainty, the conical quantities have more than 20, which are also codependent with each other. The innovation is in practical measurements on a linear measuring machine, on which the execution time is up to 50% shorter than with currently known methods, because it includes measuring in more than one dimension at a time. The component part of the innovation is also a system for automatic recording and use of influential parameters, such as temperature of the machine and measurand, or the force of measuring sensors. Everything is linked together by the software interface developed in the programme QTree, which facilitates the entire measuring procedure,
with immediate automatic calculations and certificate preparation without additional interference of the provider.

Hands free, visually guided commissioning Can you imagine your everyday work in a warehouse with free hands, no papers, terminals or headsets, but still with a full IT support? Atlas PickByGlass is an information solution which makes warehouse work completely hands-free. With the help of a screen in the glasses, the user is shown the work order, guided on the way from location to location, and with the help of an integrated camera identifying material is made easier. Atlas PickByGlass uses Google Glass technology in a logistics environment. The glasses are connected via Wi-Fi with the information system (WMS). The glasses’ screen give the user all necessary instructions for work, location, material and required amount. With the help of the integrated camera in the glasses, the bar code of the

Posameznik ali podjetje na strani objavi projekt, za katerega potrebuje finančno podporo, ter v zameno ponudi privlačne in inovativne turistične storitve. Na drugi strani si popotniki lahko ogledajo seznam lokalnih ponudnikov in njihovih projektov, ki jih podprejo na svoji naslednji destinaciji. V zameno doživijo pristno izkušnjo in hkrati še prihranijo pri stroških potovanja. TravelStarter tako postane vezni člen med lokalno skupnostjo in svetovnimi popotniki. With it travellers can experience their destination in an authentic and unique way, while providers have the opportunity to finance projects with the help of tourists from all over the world. TravelStarter is an innovative web platform which operates on the basis of crowdfunding and geo tagging. An individual or an enterprise publishes a project for which financial support is needed online, and offers attractive and innovative tourist services in return. On the other hand, travellers can view the list of local providers and their projects which they then support on their next destination. In return they have an authentic experience and at the same time save money on their travel costs. TravelStarter therefore becomes the link between the local community and world travellers, and as such directly supports local tourism. The service is available for both individuals and enterprises that would like to introduce fresh ideas, and travellers who want to try something new and local.

Izkustvena konferenca Experiential Conference
Sodobna podjetja nenehno iščejo nove metode in orodja za spodbujanje razmišljanja in iskanje novih inovativnih rešitev. Izkustvena konferenca prinaša edinstveno izkušnjo: doživetje 12 inovacijskih tehnik v enem dnevu skozi postopek igrifikacije (gamification). Udeleženci konference s simulacijo 12 različnih inovacijskih tehnik spoznajo, kako si sledijo in kaj vključujejo faze inspiracije, ideje (oz. koncepta), izboljšave, invencije (oz. prototipa) in inovacije kot končne tržne potrditve ideje. Na vsaki točki jih spremlja še intuicija. Konferenca je bila kot pilotni projekt (oz. invencija) enkrat že izpeljana, in sicer 12. junija 2014 v Ljubljani z naslovom Od inspiracije do inovacije – izkustvena konferenca skozi 12 tehnik. Konferenca z okoli sto udeleženci je v večini točk odstopala od ustaljenih izobraževalnih dogodkov, saj je potekala brez predavanj, temeljila pa je na igrifikaciji, kar je od udeležencev zahtevalo drugačen miselni okvir.

Experiential Conference offers a unique experience: 12 innovation techniques in one day through a process of gamification. Conference participants simulate the innovative process through 12 different techniques, learning how these follow one another and what the phases involve: inspirations, ideas (or concepts), improvements, inventions (or prototypes) and innovations as the final marketing confirmation of the idea. Intuition is also with them at every step. The conference as a pilot project (or invention) has already been held once, on 12 June 2014 in Ljubljana, with the title ‘From Inspiration to Innovation - Experiential Conference through 12 Techniques’. The conference had about one hundred participants and was different from standard educational events, as there were no lectures and it was based on gamification, which challenged participants to use a different mind frame than usual.

Projekt združuje eno najstarejših človekovih dejavnosti – ribolov – z novimi tehnologijami, ki bodo pomagale vzpostavljati trajnostno gospodarjenje z ribjim življem. V Sloveniji in tujini je za potrebe športnega ribolova obvezna ribolovna dovolilnica, ki jo skladno z zakonodajo nudimo prek naše storitve. Razvili smo dovršeno storitev v oblaku, ki bo v vodnatih državah celotne Evrope ribičem olajšala pridobivanje informacij ter nakup dovolilnic in pospeševala prodajo ter širila mednarodni ribiški turizem, upravljavcem vračala informacije, znala bo predvideti vložek ribjega življa in posledično optimizirati porabo sredstev. Informacije bodo vnašali ribiči, zato je potrebna dovršenost in tehnična dodelanost platforme, ki bo prijazna končnim uporabnikom (ribičem in upravljavcem). S tem bo poskrbljeno za vzpostavljanje naravnega ciklusa ribjega življa in zniževanje stroškov vsem uporabnikom storitve. Sistem omogoča upravljavcem popoln nadzor nad obremenjenostjo določenih vodotokov in jim na podlagi zbiranja podatkov o uplenu nudi statistiko o potrebah poribljavanja. Sistem 50
je usklajen s slovensko zakonodajo in pravilnikom o ribolovnem režimu v ribolovnih vodah ter daje točne statistične podatke o preverjanju dovolilnic. The project brings together one of the oldest human activities, i.e. fishing, and new technologies, which will help establish sustainable management of fish stocks. In Slovenia, as well as in other countries, one needs to have a fishing permit to be able to carry out sport fishing. You can buy such fishing permits through our service, which also ensures compliance with the legislation. We have developed a sophisticated cloud service, which will facilitate fishermen to obtain information and purchase fishing permits, and will promote sale and expand international fishing tourism in countries across Europe; it will also enable feedback information for the operators, and be able to predict the fish input and consequently optimize the use of resources. Since information will be entered by fishermen, it is necessary to ensure technical perfection and sophistication of the platform, which will be friendly to
end users (fishermen and operators). This will ensure the establishment of the natural cycle and lower the costs of all service users. The system enables the operators to have full control over the pressure on individual watercourses and, based on gathered data on catches, provides the operator with statistics on the need to stock. The system is also in line with the Slovenian legislation and regulations on fishing regime in fishing waters, and provides accurate statistics on checking permits.

Meettell, sistem za vodenje diskusij na večjih sestankih in konferencah Meettell, a system for managing discussions at large meetings and conferences
Meettell je sistem za organizacijo in stimulacijo diskusij na večjih sestankih (kongresih, konferencah in drugih prireditvah). Organizatorjem omogoča posredovanje informacij udeležencem, ki so v posamezne seje prijavljeni prek aplikacije Meettell na njihovih pametnih telefonih, prijavljenim udeležencem pa spremljanje informacij in aktivnejše vključevanje v diskusije. Sistem zagotavlja besedo udeležencem v vrstnem redu, kot so se prijavili k diskusiji, ti pa, ko so na vrsti, svoje mobilne telefone uporabijo kot brezžične mikrofone. Sistem beleži vse ključne podatke, moderatorjem omogoča učinkovito upravljanje diskusij, organizatorjem pa spremljanje aktivnosti udeležencev ter s tem pregled nad potekom in uspešnostjo sestanka. Izdelek v obliki računalniške aplikacije je predviden v treh različicah: enostavnejša za manjša srečanja, naprednejša, ki vključuje konferenčni strežnik in posebno aplikacijo za moderatorje, ter različica za večja srečanja s paralelnimi sejami.
Meettell is a system for organising and stimulating discussions at large-scale meetings (congresses, conferences and other events). It enables the organisers to communicate information to participants who are logged into individual sessions through the Meettell application on their smart phones, and in this way participants are able to follow the information and actively participate in discussions. The system gives participants the chance to speak in the order in which they registered to a discussion, and they can then use their mobile phones as wireless microphones. The system keeps all key information, enables facilitators to efficiently manage discussions, and lets organisers track participant’s activity, giving them an overview of the course and effectiveness of the meeting. There are three versions of the product in the form of a computer application: a simple one for smaller meetings, a more advanced one that includes a conference server and a special application for facilitators, and a version for large meetings with parallel sessions.

Air Medical CLEAN Air Medical CLEAN
Podjetje je za bivalne in poslovne prostore razvilo znanje in stroj, ki prezračevalne naprave (klimatske naprave, konvektorje ...) mikrobiološko očisti. Storitev je registrirana kot blagovna znamka Air Medical CLEAN. Učinek tovrstnega čiščenja pri prezračevalnih napravah vpliva na varovanje in krepitev zdravja (zaščita pred bakterijami, tudi legionelo, virusi), povečanje pretočnosti zraka in zmanjšanje porabe električne energije (kazalci se običajno približajo tehničnim podatkom novih prezračevalnih naprav, odvisno od izrabljenosti prezračevalne naprave). Pri pranju in mikrobiološki dezinfekciji prezračevalne naprave se uporabljajo le zdravju in naravi prijazne snovi. Na podlagi celovitega ekološkega pristopa je podjetje pridobilo certifikat ISO 14001. Storitev Air Medical CLEAN spada med energetske sanacije, saj pripomore k: • izboljšanju kakovosti življenja, • zmanjšanju tveganja obolenj (manj bolniške odsotnosti) zaradi onesnaženega zraka v zaprtih 52
bivalnih in poslovnih prostorih, • povečanju učinkovitosti naprav, • zmanjšanju porabe električne energije. The enterprise has developed the knowledge and designed a machine which cleans microbiologically ventilation devices (air conditioning machines, convectors, etc.) in living spaces and business premises. The service has been registered as an Air Medical CLEAN trademark. This kind of cleaning has positive effects for health protection and strengthening (protection against bacteria, viruses, including Legionnaire’s disease), and it results in increased air flow and reduced electric energy consumption (indicators usually come close to technical data of new ventilation devices, depending on the obsolescence of the ventilation device). Only health- and environment-friendly substances are used in the process of cleaning and microbiological disinfection of ventilation devices. Based on the fully ecological approach, the enterprise acquired
the ISO 14001 certificate. Air Medical CLEAN is a service of energy-saving restoration as it contributes to: • improved quality of life of EU residents, • reduced risk of illnesses (reducing the number of employees’ bed days) caused by air pollution in closed living spaces and business premises, • increased efficiency of devices, • reduced electricity consumption.

Šolanje na daljavo za tehnološka podjetja Long-distance education for technology companies
V podjetju Aereform, ki deluje v zahtevni letalski panogi, smo razvili koncept pridobivanja znanja na daljavo za letalsko osebje. Ta koncept je tako uspešen, da ga je kmalu v svojo ponudbo sprejelo podjetje Pipistrel in pozneje tudi druga (npr. e-Go aeroplanes iz Velike Britanije). Poleg tega da zasedamo odličen izhodiščni položaj na področju letalskega šolanja, našo spretnost in konceptualno moč pri tvorjenju šolanj na daljavo prenašamo tudi na neletalska področja. Tako smo ustvarili portal za pridobivanje znanja o merilnih inštrumentih slovenskega proizvajalca Dewesoft. Podjetje aereform se zaveda, da je sodobna družba pravzaprav družba znanja. Očitno je, da je naše podjetje idealen partner za tiste proizvajalce, ki imajo zapleten produkt. Pipistrel proizvaja letala, mi pilote. Dewesoft proizvaja merilne inštrumente, mi preizkusne inženirje. Z našim sistemom šolanja na daljavo smo pripravljeni in zmožni odgovoriti na tehnološke izobraževalne izzive prihodnosti.
The enterprise Aereform operates in the demanding branch of aviation. The enterprise has developed a concept of acquiring long-distance knowledge for aviation staff. This concept is so successful that in just a short amount of time Pipistrel and later also others (e.g. e-Go aeroplanes from G. B.) have adopted it into their range of products and services. Beside the fact that we have an excellent starting point in the field of aviation education, we transfer our know-how and conceptual power in designing long-distance education also to fields outside the aviation business. We created a portal for acquiring knowledge about measuring instruments of the Slovenian manufacturer Dewesoft. Aereform is well aware that modern society is in fact a knowledge society. It is obvious that our enterprise is an ideal partner for those manufacturers that have a complex product. Pipistrel produces planes and we the pilots. Dewesoft produces measuring instruments and we the testing engineers.
With our system of long-distance education we are prepared and able to respond to the technological and educational challenges of the future.

Taxi Controller je informacijski sistem za avtomatsko razpošiljanje vozil. Obdelane rezervacije posreduje voznikom v skupini avtomatsko na najbolj optimalen način. Poleg optimiziranega razpošiljanja vozil zagotavlja tehnologijo za podporo vseh pomembnih poslovnih procesov taksi podjetja in s tem združuje vse funkcije, potrebne za uspešno delovanje sodobne taksi službe. Ključni element sistema, ki ga tudi najbolj ločuje od konkurence, so optimizirani postopki avtomatizacije razpošiljanja vozil, eksplicitno prilagojeni delovanju taksi služb, ki upoštevajo maksimalen nabor vplivnih faktorjev in njihov negativni vpliv minimizirajo. Taxi Controller is an information system for automatically dispatching vehicles. It automatically forwards processed reservations to drivers in a group in the most optimal way. Besides optimising vehicle dispatch, it also provides supporting technology for all important business processes of a taxi enterprise and combines all functions needed for a successful operation of a modern taxi service. The system’s key element, which also separates it from the competition, is the optimised automation processes of vehicle dispatch explicitly adapted to functioning in taxi services, which consider the maximum range of influential factors and minimise their negative influence. This contributes to shorter waiting periods, the fair sharing of reservations among drivers, better utilisation of drivers’ time and a lower fuel consumption. The introduction of Taxi Controller system into the business environment of a taxi enterprises increases customer satisfaction, productivity and earnings.

Sistem rešuje problematiko parkiranja v mestih na območjih kratkotrajnega parkiranja z namensko mobilno aplikacijo. Ta omogoča grafični prikaz stanja (plačano/ neplačano) in časovnega okvira zakupa posameznega parkirnega mesta v realnem času z analiziranjem informacij, ki jih ob plačilu parkirnine sporoči voznik. Aplikacija tako ponuja pregled nad celotnim območjem parkirnih mest, hitro ter natančno iskanje in lociranje prostega parkirnega mesta ter možnost oddaljenega plačila in podaljšanja parkirnine. Aplikacija je istočasno namenjena redarjem, voznikom in tudi občinam. Redarjem spremeni način dela – iz naključnega iskanja vozil kršilcev v nadzor točno določenih, posameznih parkirnih mest. Voznikom skrajša čas kroženja in iskanja prostega parkirnega mesta, saj ga vidijo že vnaprej. Manjša gostota prometa v mestu hkrati zmanjša izpuste CO2 in poveča prometno varnost. Učinkovitejši nadzor nad prekrškarji pa poveča plačilno disciplino, kar posledično poveča občinski proračun.
The system solves the problem of city parking in the areas of short-term parking through a dedicated mobile app. It provides a real-time graphical display of the status (paid/unpaid) and the time frame of a purchased parking space upon analysis of payment information entered by the driver. The application offers a review of the entire parking area, a fast and precise searching and locating of a free parking space, and the option of remote payment and extension of the parking fee. The application is intended for traffic wardens, drivers and municipalities at the same time. For traffic wardens, it changes the method of work - from randomly searching for vehicles of violators to exactly defined parking spaces. For drivers, it reduces the time spent driving around in search of a parking space because they can see it beforehand. Reduced traffic density in a city reduces CO2 emissions and at the same time increases traffic safety. More effective control of violators improves payment discipline which consequently increases the municipal budget.

Njena ključna prednost je, da je omogočila uvedbo sistema gostovanja (roaminga), v katerem lahko uporabniki električnih vozil v Sloveniji uporabljajo večino javnih polnilnih postaj z eno samo pogodbo in eno identifikacijsko kartico. Sistem omogoča polnjenje vozil na polnilnih postajah vseh operaterjev, ki v njem sodelujejo. S tem se občutno poveča število polnilnic, ki so dostopne vsakemu uporabniku. Srce sistema je globalni ponudnik storitve polnjenja, ki upravlja zbirke podatkov o vseh sodelujočih ponudnikih storitve polnjenja in upravljavcih polnilnih postaj ter je vmesnik do končnega uporabnika. The Eltrel platform allows for easy management of charging unit networks and customers of charging services. Its key advantage is that it has introduced a system of roaming in which users of electric vehicles in Slovenia can use the majority of charging units with just one contract and one ID card. The system enables charging of vehicles at charging units of all operators who are involved in it. With that, the number of charging units that are accessible to every customer increases considerably. The heart of the system is a global provider of charging service that manages the database about all participating providers of the charging service and managers of charging units, and is an interface leading to the end user. The system also supports a user-friendly monthly sheet with just one bill for all administered services. The platform is complemented by separate software solutions for managing charging units in the field and managing users of electro-mobility services.

Celovita modernizacija valjavskega ogrodja in nadgradnja modelov valjanja Comprehensive modernisation of roller framework and upgrade of rolling models
Valjavsko ogrodje za valjanje debele pločevine je eden ključnih agregatov družbe Acroni. Z zamenjavo starega ogrodja smo dobili t. i. »state of art« ogrodje, ki je v primerjavi s starim sposobno dosegati veliko višje pritiske (maksimalna sila je 60 MN), sposobno je valjati plošče do širine 2,5 m (prej le 2 m) in ima vrsto različnih orodij, ki omogočajo izdelavo jeklenih plošč z visoko dodano vrednostjo. Vsa ta orodja in surova moč novega valjavskega ogrodja pa bi bila neuporabna, če za njihovo kontrolo ne bi skrbel model valjanja, ki je plod lastnega razvojnega znanja. Model preračunava optimalne plane valjanja glede na vrsto jekla, tip izdelka in zahtevane končne lastnosti. Je samoadaptiven, kar pomeni, da se stalno uči in popravlja parametre, ki jih uporablja pri izračunih. Ta kombinacija ogrodja in modela nam daje veliko prednost pred konkurenco, saj omogoča doseganje nižjih debelin in večjih širin plošč trših jekel ter hkrati hitro uvajanje novih izdelkov.
The roller framework for rolling thick sheet metal is one of the key aggregates at Acroni. By replacing the old framework we gained a state of the art framework which is in comparison to the old one capable of achieving a much greater pressure (the maximum force is 60 MN), capable of rolling plates up to 2.5 m wide (prior to that only 2 m) and has a variety of different tools which enable a production of steel plates with a high added value. However, all these tools and raw power of the new rolling framework would be useless if they were not controlled by the rolling model which is a product of in-house development. The model calculates optimal rolling plans based on steel type, product type and required final properties. It is self-adaptive, which means it is constantly learning and fixing parameters it uses for calculations. This combination of the framework and the model gives us a great advantage over the competition because it allows us to achieve thinner and wider plates from more solid steel, and at the same time allows new products to be introduced quickly.

Nova generacija protikorozivnega premaza na vodni osnovi New generation of water-based anti-corrosive coating
Vodorazredčljivi premazi niso novost, inovacija pa je temeljni premaz s predhodno nedoseženimi protikorozijskimi, mehanskimi in uporabnimi lastnostmi. Srce inovacije je nanovodna disperzija aminskega utrjevalca v kombinaciji z vodnim epoksi vezivom. Primarna funkcionalnost premaza je odlična protikorozijska zaščita, več kot 1500 ur brez defektov v slani ali vlažni komori pri za organski premaz nizki debelini. Mehanske lastnosti premaza presegajo zahteve za mehansko najbolj obremenjene izdelke kovinske industrije, kot so kmetijska in gradbena mehanizacija. Inovativni premaz omogoča nanos na neoptimalno pripravljeno podlago, ob nekoliko zmanjšanih protikorozijskih lastnostih pa celo na slabo razmaščeno površino. Tega predhodni vodorazredčljivi premazi ne omogočajo. Novi material prekaša dosedanje rešitve tudi v uporabnih lastnostih. Manj je namreč občutljiv za vremenske razmere ob nanašanju, hkrati pa daje izrazito gladko površino, kar omogoča enostaven nanos pokrivnega premaza. 60
Water-based coatings are nothing new, however, a primer coating with previously unachieved anti-corrosive, mechanical and applicative properties is an innovation. The heart of this innovation is a nano water dispersion of amine hardener in combination with water epoxy binder. The prime functionality of the coating is its excellent anticorrosive protection, more than 1,500 h without defects in a salt fog chamber, at a low level of thickness for organic coating. Mechanical properties of the coating exceed the requirements for the products of the metals industry that are mechanically the most burdened, such as agricultural machines or construction plants. This innovative coating can be applied on a poorly prepared surface, and with partially reduced anti-corrosive properties even on a poorly degreased surface. It was impossible to do that with previous water coatings. The new material also outranks existing solutions in the applicative properties. It is less sensitive to climate conditions during application and at the same time it offers a distinctively smooth surface which enables easy application of a top coating.

Izdelek je nova produktna skupina v okviru obstoječe palete Domelovih puhal, gnanih z uporabo ECtehnologije. Ta puhala so namenjena za vgradnjo v kompleksne stroje in aparate v visoko zahtevnih industrijskih aplikacijah. Analiza globalnega trga je pokazala velik potencial pri aplikacijah, ki za svoje delovanje zahtevajo velike volumetrične pretoke delovnega medija v okvirih od 400 m³/h do 1000 m³/h, česar z obstoječimi puhali ni bilo mogoče zagotavljati. Na tej podlagi je bila sprejeta odločitev za razvoj novega izdelka, ki bo omogočal zagotavljanje podanih zahtev in bil konkurenčen na tem segmentu trga industrijskih rešitev. Že od začetka je bil upoštevan vidik standardizacije, kar pomeni optimalno uporabo obstoječih komponent ter s tem znižanje stroškov razvoja in samega izdelka ter povečanje konkurenčnosti. Največja vrednost inovacije je v konstrukcijski izvedbi ohišja, ki omogoča optimalen tok delovnega medija skozi puhalo, kar se kaže v visoki učinkovitosti delovanja celotnega sklopa in posledično aplikacije, kjer puhalo

These blowers are intended for installation in complex machines and devices in highly demanding industrial applications. The global market analysis has shown a great potential for applications that require large volumetric flows of working medium for their operation, in the range of 400m3/h to 1000m3/h, which was impossible to ensure with existing blowers. Based on that, we adopted the decision to develop a new product that would meet the given requirements and be competitive in this segment of the industrial solutions market. From the very beginning, the aspect of standardisation was taken into consideration, which means the optimal use of existing components and thus reduction in costs of development as well as of the product itself, and, consequently, increase of
competitiveness. The most important value of the innovation is in the external case construction, which facilitates the optimal flow of the working medium through the blower, ensuring a highly efficient operation of the whole set and, consequently, of the application in which the blower is used. The external case construction also facilitates a secure installation of the blower to the existing drive train.
