Family Outdoor Movie Series in Partnership with PBS Kids

Centre Region Parks and Recreation and WPSU are teaming up to bring you Outdoor Movies in the Park with PBS Kids! Movies will be screened on the inflatable outdoor screen with fabulous sound and the beautiful location of Tudek Park. Stay tuned for movie releases, coming soon!

Rec On The Go Family Game Nights

Gather your family and friends and meet the CRPR staff at your neighborhood park on Wednesday evenings for some good old fashioned family fun! These free Family Game Nights are open to kids and families of all ages. Staff have a huge variety of both tabletop and group games. Mark your calendar for an evening of fun and games. If you are not familiar with these park locations, please visit the “Find Your Park” map on our website.

As part of Centre Region Parks and Recreation's participation in Centre Foundation's #CentreGives community fundraising event, we are hosting a Pre-Season Plunge at Welch Pool.

Be the FIRST to swim at the pool this summer! Join us as we empty the Rec on the Go truck with all of our fun yard games, available in and around the pool. Enjoy music while you swim or play! The Wibit will be in the water along with our most awesome climbing wall! The slides will also be running! Updates will be posted on the website. Online tickets will be available during the Centre Gives Campaign on May 10th & 11th

$15 - One (1) Person

$55 - Six (6) People (Six is max. for groups.)

Millbrook Marsh Nature Center Activities continued program, we look learn more how families who seasonal rhythms nature-based programs in the Nature Center

Bring the kids out for an exciting afternoon of all things TRUCKS! Climb, touch and honk horns! This is a hands-on experience for the entire family! The first hour will be sensory friendly with no horn honking!

Join us on Saturday, June 24 at the State College Alliance Church parking lot, from 10 AM-1 PM. All ages are welcome to enjoy this FREE event!

Park Passport Pursuit!

Become a Park Explorer and visit many of the amazing municipal parks in the Centre Region! With over 1,000 acres of park land, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy walking trails, wildlife, playgrounds, monuments, fields and much more. Spend an hour or spend a day exploring!

Composting gold. Backyard composting is an easy, inexpensive, and natural garden waste into valuable, nutrient-rich food for your garden while landfills. Join us to learn the basics of backyard composting: why it's add to your compost pile, how to maintain a compost pile, and how registration, you will receive a home backyard compost bin to get you and Recycling staff.

Download and print the passport prior to June 5. Use it as your guide as you begin to venture out to over 10 different parks. Make sure to complete the checklist, challenge activities and coloring pages for each park. Bring your completed passport to the CRPR office at 2040 Sandy Dr., Suite A by August 1 to be entered in our raffle drawing.
