Who is Crunkatlanta? I am Eric aka Crunkatlanta & Promotewho.com - The Internet Promoter, the one that is in love with Hip Hop. Follow me on Twitter @crunkatlantaMag . Born and raised in Detroit, MI. Yep, I'm from Seven Mile Rd and GreenfieldWhuddup Doe!! My first inspiration to get involved in the industry was when I found out that nobody heard of any Detroit rappers outside of Detroit ( Michigan). My first gig was with a friend (“T”) that I assisted with promoting Cam’ron back when he was a lil chunky in 1997. From there I found what my purpose was supposed to be. My all time fantasy career was to become a quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. Once that dream was cut short from not getting the response back from -tryouts and competition over the years. Ryan Mcginn is an up and coming Rapper from Chicago Ill. Ryan(Eli) started out as a writer in many forms and after being published multiple times as a child, he utilized his talents with words and started to write music and leave his footprint on the hip hop landscape. He was on mixtapes early on in his career including getting on "destroy your speakers volume 3" by dj Gemstar in 2011. After taking some time off Eli has come back to the rap scene with avengeance popping out singles like "I am" and others that will be part of his 2017 release of his debut album "prophet logic". Eli also has collab projects in the mix but Prophet logic will be released most likely in February.
YUNG CANOVA Yung Canova's latest single featuring Rich The Kid & Nakuu, "No Rules". Production by Trenchwork's own XL Eagle, with credits such as Migos "T-Shirt" & Future's "Inside The Mattress". Marley Pitch's " I Haven't Forgotten " EP seeks to bridge the connection of nature and the Internet. In his own words, "it feels like as a society we've managed to code our human essence into the Internet." Marley notes that you can visit a person's Tumblr or Instagram profile and feel that you understand a part of them. With those thoughts in mind, he created a video and song concept to emulate the bridge of nature and the digital realm. BIO Marley Pitch is the multimedia hip hop project of artist Paka Kuuya from Greensboro, North Carolina. Marley Pitch heavily relies on vivid storytelling using surgical wordplay and pop-feeling melodies to share a powerful perspective the world has yet to witness. He began songwriting at the age of eleven while simultaneously honing his natural skills in digital graphic arts. Marley’s talents have opened the doors for him to open for Jazz Cartier at Canadian Music Week in 2015, alongside other reputable acts Lucki Eck$ and Gosh Pith. He has also recently partnered with clothing brand ‘Enemy to Fashion’ to deliver a music-meets-fashion game app called ‘Enemy to Fashion’ in the Apple App Store. Pitch was born from a Ghanaian mother & a Zimbabwean, Zambian, and South African father in Decatur, Atlanta. The Asian-American rapper known as Sha Dra ELAV8 is from Houston, Texas by way of Taiwan, Republic of China. Sha Dra splits his time between the two locales and explores his multicultural roots in songs like “Soap,” “Moccasins,”and “Be Like Water.” Sha Dra Elav8 (ShahDrah Elevate; Shaman Dragon ) cites as main artistic influences Tupac Shakur, John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Yelawolf, and Tech N9ne. Of these, his sound, style and themes take some from all. He has the razor-sharp skill of Tech N9ne, the philosophical bents of Tupac and Lennon, and southern nuances much less obvious than Yelawolf's which form an important part of Sha's overall character. Taking cues from both his Asian heritage and the culture of the southern United States, Sha Dra Elav8's music is a message from the world's greatest teachers speaking through him, and is also booming American rap from one of today's most intriguing urban poets. Sha Dra learned to rap while spending time in Washington, DC. “I started by freestyling, and gradually got better,” he says simply. Sha Dra has made mysticism a large part of his personality and lifestyle, but Dra mixes this down-to-earth spirituality with the other half of his character, which stems from pop culture and hip-hop. The result is rap music that has more depth than much of the genre. Dra’s music is intelligent, positive, and uninterested in the negative stereotypes of hip-hop such as gang violence and the objectification of women. Sha Dra’s music, rather, focuses on self-realization and inner peace. In another of his popular songs for instance, he gives excellent advice for those trying to rid themselves of the negativity of others: “If you just can’t cope – just use soap.” He has written elsewhere that he believes that our feelings and emotions strongly affect and even create our reality. “If this is true,” he writes, “then there is nothing that is stopping humanity from achieving peace on Earth. Nothing, save ourselves.”
