EDITOR’S NOTES
Crunkatlanta Magazine 2017
Who is Crunkatlanta? I am Eric aka Crunkatlanta & Promotewho.com - The Internet Promoter, the one that is in love with Hip Hop. Follow me on Twitter @crunkatlantaMag . Born and raised in Detroit, MI. Yep, I'm from Seven Mile Rd and GreenfieldWhuddup Doe!! My first inspiration to get involved in the industry was when I found out that nobody heard of any Detroit rappers outside of Detroit ( Michigan). My first gig was with a friend (“T”) that I assisted with promoting Cam’ron back in 1997. From there I found what my purpose was supposed to be. My all time fantasy career was to become a quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. Once that dream was cut short from not getting the response back from -tryouts and competition over the years. I became hooked on music and brand marketing. http://www.crunkatlanta.com ( Promo page )

CRUNKATLANTA 30 for 2020 1. How long have you been doing what you’re doing and how did you get started in the first place? A: I’ve been making music for about 5 years now, when I first started I was just playing around writing music but I never told nobody and then I decided to take it a little more serious.
2. Who were the first influences on your music and style? A: My first influencers on my music I would say number 1 is Michael Jackson he influenced not just myself but the whole world, I was even trying to learn how to moonwalk after hearing his sh*t. And my second 3rd & 4th would be Tupac, 50 cent, & biggie smalls.
3. In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why? A: I would have to say artists like Gunna, Lil Uzi vert, Lil Keed, Drake , Lil baby I feel like those guys alone have good influence in today & genre of music… they all have “river like flows” & all help out tha hoods n communities around them & just make good a** music
4. Which famous song or sound production, ultimately describes what you’d like your music productions to sound like? I don’t specifically have a Famous song that describes my music. The music I make and listen to are all versatile I’ll even make a rock song, as long as it got sum Swing.
5. Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content? I’m versatile so I would say it’s for both depending on the mood & time.
6. Do you make your own beats and write your own lyrics? If yes what software or equipment do you prefer using? If you don’t do any of this by yourself, how do you get this done? A: I write my own music & got some pretty cool “beat makers” they send me beats!

7. If you could choose to work with some of today’s established artists or producers, to move your game to the top, with whom would you like to collaborate? Well there’s a lot of artists I would have been honored to work with, in today’s genre I would say one of my main’s would have been Juice Wrld…Rest in paradise he was a wonderful artist, I would be honored to work with him and XXX Tentacion. I would also want to work with Gunna, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, The Weeknd, Tory Lanez, Playboi Cardi, Lil Mosey, Migos, Da Baby, Aboogie Wit da Hoodie, Tee Grizzley, YNW Melly, Stormzy, AJ Tracey.
8. Which latest songs, videos or mixtapes releases are currently available to your fans and where can they be heard or downloaded? A: I’ll be dropping my single July 3rd with Lil Keed.
9. Which ingredient do you think is most essential in making your sound and style the way it is? Being consistent at what you do, and go hard in whatever you’re doing… not everyone is going to like what you do! but just do you and don’t let them haters throw you off your game.
10. What led to your style of delivery and beat-selection?? A: I was just looking for beats with momentum something I can ride
11. What aspect of the music making process excites you most, and what aspect discourages you the most? A: The best part is the vibes its almost like a spiritual thing, music is the key to good vibes, good music n you know what else too! There a huge selection of whatever you want, and the part that discourages me is when I get writers block… but it’s all a part of the process. 12. How involved are you in the recording, producing, mastering, marketing, and other processes needed to make and sell your music, and do you outsource any part of these processes? A: Pretty involved, I’m constantly working on trying to create sum different. There’s a lot of other things that need to change as well, not just music. 13. Do you think the advent of the Internet and all the new technology has helped your music and independent musicians in general, or do you think it just creates a mass of mediocre “copycats” who flood the web, making it difficult to distinguish yourself? A: I would say its art if you wanna start feel free! Just be yourself. 14. In your experience thus far, what is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed? And one you didn’t follow, but now know for sure that you should have? A: Staying on task & not saying on task but again life isn’t perfect. 15. A: I don’t have any barriers if it’s meant to happen the creator will work it out

30. Flashing money, the women and the cars in videos - Do you think many just don't have creative ideas or is this what they believe fans want to see? I believe it’s what they’ve seen for a long-time n they seem to be comfortable with showing that in their videos, I mean as long as you switch up the ideal n not make every video the same and add different concepts then it’s a go. like why not!

JOEY TRAP
Channeling the distinctive energy that put Trap on the map, “A Playlist For The End Of The World” taps into the same brand of defiant lyricism. “A Playlist For The End Of The World” is a natural evolution of Trap’s musical ability, thoughtfully curated and meticulously produced to resonate with fans: “This music is not to distract people from what’s going on, but instead to aid them [with] a soundtrack [for] battle,” Joey says, “[These are] memories we will never forget! 2020 is a time for a change.” Boasting 224K followers on Instagram and over a million monthly listeners on Spotify, Trap has earned his title as one of rap’s most prolific visionaries. Trap’s music is widely celebrated for its distinctive blend of range and style, with recent releases ‘Wild West’ and ‘STFU’ showcasing his genre-defying sound. Featured on Spotify’s Clout Culture playlist, ‘Wild West’ racked up millions of streams following its January release, with the tracks “Purse,” “John Wayne,” and “Arrival” generating huge buzz. And with a punkrock flare, the February release of ‘STFU’ proved to be yet another win for Trap, featuring the wildly popular single “JOHN CENA.”

The timely remix features the Charlotte native’s undeniable flow with a hint of urgency as he announces that his community is "all fed up [and] coming back for everything."
