A Time to Remember ROUND LAKE – In the evening of September 11th, the Malta area faith communities in conjunction with the Village of Round Lake will lead a Time to Remember, Renew and Refresh in the Round Lake Auditorium at 7pm. The service will include the presentation of the colors, singing, recognition of the many involved in community service, readings and ending with candle lighting for peace and blessings from the faith traditions. Attendees are requested to bring non-perishable food or cash donations for the Malta Community Center Food Pantry. Refreshments will follow the service. (P) To honor our County-area Veterans and the Coast Guard’s 218 years of service to our nation, the band will perform an afternoon of patriotic selections, classical works, and jazz standards.

September 11th Memorial Service BALLSTON SPA – As we come to an important milestone in the life of our country, the Ballston Area Clergy Association is gathering community groups, leaders, and churches together to remember the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001. On behalf of the Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, and Alliance churches in Ballston Spa we invite the public to be a part of this special memorial service. Please join us on September 11th at 6:30pm at The First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa. 202 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa. This special memorial service will mark September 11 as a time for hope, prayer, and community togetherness. Elected officials, firefighters, police, and emergency responders will also take part. We will have a special time of recognition and prayer for these special members of our community. The service will last about one hour and will include remarks from pastors and community leaders. (A)
BH-BL Women’s Club Meeting BALLSTON – The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Women’s Club will meet Monday, September 12 at noon at the Town of Ballston Town Hall. The program will feature information on the County Senior Meal Program and Meals on Wheels. These programs utilize facilities at the Town Hall. Club members may make a reservation for a meal on September 12 by calling Sally Longbotham at 399-4490 by September 7. The Club is participating in Boscov’s “Friends Helping Friends Day” on Tuesday, October 4. Passes may be obtained from members. All proceeds benefit the Club’s Scholarships. (P)
