Susan (Caldwell) Wood - I would like to let all friends and family of my Mom, Susan Wood, know that she is having another major surgery on March 30, 2011, and she will be in the ICU unit at Saratoga Hospital for at least one week, but her stay may be longer. Please feel free to stop in and see her, or send an encouraging note. Please also pray for her as this is another major surgery and it is going to be a long recovery. CORINTH FREE LIBRARY to Host Battles of the Civil War with Greg Baker The Library invites the public to attend a two part program discussing two key battles of the Civil War. The program features teacher Greg Baker of the Corinth Central School and features images. The program will start on Tues., April 5 with the Battle of Antietam and conclude Tues., April 12 with the Battle of Gettysburg. Both programs are at 7pm at the Corinth Free Library. This program is made possible by a gift awarded to the library through the We the People Bookshelf national grant project. The library was one of 4,000 libraries across the country selected to receive a We the People Bookshelf grant, which provided free hardcover editions of 17 classic books on the theme of “A More Perfect Union�. The library also received bonus materials, including a DVD edition of “The Civil War,� the award winning documentary by Ken Burns. The grant was awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) in cooperation with the American Library Association.
