WBLN-LP, 104.9 FM will hold an Open House on Sunday, November 27 from 2 to 5 PM. The studio is located in Suite 48 of the Colvin Building, 206 Glen Street, Glens Falls. According to Gary Bombard, Station Manager, there will be refreshments and informative tours of the radio station. Visitors will be invited to record the station ID which airs hourly. An elevator operator will be on duty. Michael Kelleher, President of Better Living Radio, Inc. which operates the station explained that WBLN-LP is a 100 Watt nonprofit Christian Radio serving the greater Glens Falls area. “Many businesses and individuals regularly support our ministry with funds and services. We want to say ʻthank youʼ and meet with our listeners face to face. Itʼs also an opportunity to learn what is involved in running a radio station,” he said. Thurman Country Christmas Bazaar The annual Thurman Country Christmas Bazaar hall, will be held Saturday, November 26th, from 9 a.m.m to 3 p.m. at Thurman town hall, 311 Athol Rd., Athol Regional craftsmen will offer high quality hand-crafted items such as sweaters hand-knit from area wool, warm, wooly mittens, decorative and useful items for the home and cozy fleece wraps. Youʼll find Avon products, wooden toys and Adirondack rustic miniatures. Fresh-baked items and pure Thurman maple products, as well as the new community calendar published by the John Thurman Historical Society, will be featured in this friendly, relaxed environment with no pushing and shoving crowds.
