Community Events Board more inside… Benefit “Jingle Bell” Run/Walk COLONIE – Bells will be ringing through the air at the “Jingle Bell” Run/ Walk to benefit the Arthritis Foundation of Northeastern NY. The “Jingle Bell” Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, at The Crossings in Colonie. Registration begins at 8:30am with the 5k Run beginning at 10am. All proceeds of the event will support the programs, services and research to youth and individuals with Arthritis. Individuals and teams can register online at www.albanyjbr.kintera.org or call the office at 456-1203. Registration fee is $25 prior to the event or $30 day of. Registration fee for children 12 years of age or younger is $15 prior to the event or $20 day of. A Kids “Fun Run” for children ages 2-12 will also take place for a fee of $15 (Kids Fun Run will be at 9:30am). The Arthritis Foundation encourages anyone to attend in their holiday attire including Reindeer Antlers, Santa Hats or your best elf costume! You can register as an individual or as a team. (P)

Thanksgiving Polka Mass COHOES – St. Michael’s Church, Page Ave., Cohoes, will hold their annual Thanksgiving Polka Mass at 10am on Thursday, November 24, with Joe Kosek and the New Yorkers. We invite everyone to join us in thanking and praising God for all the blessings received throughout the year. We are collecting non-perishable food items for the local food pantry. (P)

Christmas Vigil Dinner COHOES – St. Michael’s Church, located at Page Ave. in Cohoes, is hosting a Christmas Vigil Dinner (traditional family gathering) on Saturday, December 10. Mass at 4pm, sharing of Oplatek (Wafer) at 5:30pm followed by dinner, Christmas Carols and visit from Santa. This is a fundraiser for the church roof.
