CLIFTON PARK – Pai’s Academy of Tae Kwon Do presents “A Day of Fundraising for Japan” on Saturday, April 16, at the Gowana Middle School gym, 970 Route 146 in Clifton Park. Doors will open at 3pm. From 3:304pm: Zakuro-Daiko – The Union College Japanese Drumming Ensemble; from 4-5pm: Pai’s Tae Kwon Do Demonstration team. Tickets: $5 per person; under age 3, free. All money collected will be donated directly to the Red Cross relief fund for earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. Call 3718285 for more information.

Easter Party CLIFTON PARK – The Jonesville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary will hold their annual Easter Party on Sunday, April 17, 12:30-2pm, at Station #1, 953 Main Street in Clifton Park. The Easter Bunny will make a special visit, so don’t forget your cameras! Light refreshments will be served and fun activities will be held inside the training room. MECHANICVILLE – The Mechanicville District Public Library is looking for Information regarding 16mm films donated to the library: Mechanicville High School Band and Chorus Performing in New York City at the World’s Fair (1964, 1965), School Program 1948, Class of 1946, 1952, 1958, etc. We are applying for a grant to preserve these reels as DVDs so that they will be more accessible and viewable. If you have any knowledge of these films, we would like to hear from you. Any information we can gather will help in writing this grant. Call Laura at 664-4646 with any information.

Food Pantry Needs Food MECHANICVILLE - The Mechanicville Community Center is in desperate need of canned and boxed goods for the Emergency Food Pantry.
