Readings by local author Patricia Nugent from her book, They Live On: Saying Goodbye to Mom and Dad, will encourage participants to share their experiences and concerns over the role reversal that occurs as parents age. Eight Scholarships Available HALFMOON – Mohawk Post 1450 Commander Jim Valenti and Sons of the American Legion Commander Frank Brammer remind the community that five $500 and three $250 scholarships are available to high school seniors. Most of the scholarships are for Shenendehowa High School seniors and one is for any high school senior outside the Shenendehowa District who is a child or grandchild of a Post 1450 Legion, Auxiliary or Sons of the American legion member. Applications and supporting documents must be received at the Post by April 15, 2011.
