Fort Orange Garden Club Annual Plant Sale & Garden Tag Sale LATHAM - The Fort Orange Garden Club (FOGC) Annual Plant Sale & Garden Tag Sale will be held on Saturday May11th from 9am - 2pm in the Buhrmaster Barn at the Pruyn House Complex, 207 Old Niskayuna Road, Latham. Bottle Drive For Local Humane Society LATHAM - Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s Employee Charity Committee will hold a bottle recycling drive on Saturday, May 18 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at its 20 Wade Road, Latham office. The Credit Union is accepting soda, beer, and water bottles of all types to be donated to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society (MHHS) in Menands, NY. The bottles will be collected by employees and delivered to the Humane Society on the same day.

Colonie AARP Chapter 2873 to Meet COLONIE - Colonie AARP Chapter 2873 will meet at 1 pm on Monday May 13 at William K.Sanford Town Library. Historic Button Display at Library COHOES - The Half Moon Button Club will be displaying a collection of buttons & offer a talk on the historical significance of these often over looked items. Buttons are taken for granted, until they fall off, but there has been a resurgence in interest in these intriguing accessories. Kathy Arbogast, President of the Half Moon Button Club of the Capital District, now celebrating its 70th anniversary, will speak on May 15 at 6 pm at the Cohoes Public Library.
