Wednesday Crafters Resumes The Wednesday Crafters at Simpson UMC, 1089 Rock City Road, Rock City Falls (.4 mi south of Rt. 29), follows the Ballston Spa School District schedule for vacations and school closing days. All crafters and hobbyists are invited to bring their latestproject and drop in any time between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. onWednesdays. No ability level, attendance, or church affiliationrequired. FREE CONCERT RESCHEDULED Michael Jerling’s rescheduled performance will be held on Friday, February 22 from 7-9 p.m. at the Town Hall in StonyCreek. Jerling is a singer/songwriter who holds the distinction ofhaving been among the winners of the prestigious “New Folk”competition at the

Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas. He displays his first-rate lyrical sense and impressive musicianship - borrowingfrom blues, rock, country and R&B. His baritone voice isaccompanied by the upright bass, played by Tony Markellis andthe ancient reed organ, played by Teresina Huxtable. This concert is sponsored by the Stony Creek Free Library and is the second of four scheduled concerts in a winter concert series.

Katherine M. Dier Promoted to Senior VP GLENS FALLS/BOLTON LANDING – Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company has announced the promotion of Branch Services Division Head Katherine M. Dier to Senior Vice President. Ms. Dier joined the Bank in 1986 as a teller and has held various roles within Branch Services during her 27-year career, including Branch Manager for multiple offices, Saratoga Branch Banking Manager, and Branch Division Manager. In her current role as Branch Services Division Head, she oversees management and operations of all of our banking offices. Active in the community, Ms. Dier is a member of the Lake George Association and a volunteer with the Helpers Fund in Chestertown and the South Glens Falls Holiday Parade. She is a past member of the Hudson Falls Rotary Club. Ms. Dier resides in Bolton Landing with her husband, Michael S. Dier. (P)

Health Fair CAPITAL REGION – Taking Control of Our Health is the theme of the PEF Region 8 Women’s Program’s fifth annual health fair. The health fair, which is free and open to the public, will feature workshops on healthy living, chiropractic care, cancer care, information from the American Heart Association, and Zumba instructions. There will also be a raffle and vendor giveaways. The event is being held Saturday, March 2, from 9am-1pm at the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) headquarters at 800 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham, where there is ample parking.
