The store is open seven days a week, Mon.-Fri., 10am-4pm (Thurs. until 7pm); Sat., 11am-3pm; and Sun., 1:30-3:30pm. The Whitney sells quality used books at reasonable prices as well as used audio books, records, videos, CDs and DVDs. Gift certificates are available. Program on Native American Philosophy SCOTIA – Suzanne Rancourt, a Native American and a member of the Abenaki Bear Clan, will address New Growth Fellowship on Thursday, August 11, 7:30pm, at the Beukendaal Hall, 20 Schonowee Ave., Scotia. Rancourt’s lecture is entitled “Traditional Aspects of Native American Philosophy” and will include topics such as shape-shifting, thunder beings and sacred stones explored from both the Native American Perspective as well as from other cultural outlooks.
