Clearwater Chapter of TU to Meet ALBANY – The September Meeting of Clearwater Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be held on September 19, 7:30pm, at the Best Western Sovereign Hotel in Albany, about one mile east from end of the Northway (I-87). Guest speaker will be Joe Goodspeed from the Cortland Line Company presenting a talk on ‘Tailwater Nymphing Tricks.’ A Guest fly tier will start at 6:30pm. Be sure to take part in the monthly fly swap, and please help with a Chapter streamside cleanup on September 24, meeting at the Rte. 313 rest area east of Cambridge, NY, near VT border at 9am. Annual Lord’s Acre Fair BURNT HILLS – The Burnt Hills United Methodist Church, 816 Route 50, will hold its annual Lord’s Acre Fair on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10. Both days feature various booths, White Elephant, Next-toNew Clothing, Crafters, Baked Goods, Games, Country Store, Consignment, Furniture, Toys, Books, a Food Booth, and Silent Auctions. The booths open on Friday, 10am-8pm; Chicken BBQ served between 4:30-7pm (dine in or take-out). On Saturday, booths open 9am-3pm; Pancake Breakfast, sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 56, served 7:30-9:30am; Lunch served “a la carte” from 11:30am-1:30pm. Plenty of parking available. 15th Autumn Jewels Art Show CLIFTON PARK – The 15th Annual Jewels Art Show will be held September 30 - October 28 at Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. Entry form must be mailed back by Wed., September 21. Artwork may be delivered to the SACC on Fri., September 30 (3-4pm) and can be picked up on Fri., October 28 (3-4pm).
