BURNT HILLS – Join us for an outdoor Movie Night on Saturday, September 17, at the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School to benefit the Shellstrong Foundation. Bring a blanket and some friends and enjoy an evening under the stars! Doors open at 7pm. E.T. at 7:15pm (kids age 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult); Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at 9:45pm (for kids age 13 and older unless accompanied by an adult). Rain Date: Sunday, September 18, 7:30pm show only. Event donation is $5 per person. Proceeds to benefit the Melodies Center at Albany Med & a High School Scholarship. Tickets available at Mail ‘N’ More, during lunch at the middle school and high school, and at the event. Concession stand and bake sale open at the event. GLENVILLE – Life Maid Simple will be accepting donations of cleaning products and cleaning materials for the entire month of September! We know cleaning, and can help victims get started with clean up by donating cleaning products and materials. We will deliver the items to hurricane and flood victims during the entire month in the hardest hit areas. The following items are needed: disinfectant cleaners, bleach, laundry detergent, Windex, dish soap, paper towels, mops, brooms, wet/dry vacuums, microfiber cloths, sponges, and spray bottles. These items can be used or new. We have had many people call us looking for cleaning products and materials. They have told us many people are donating food, clothing and money however they are in desperate need of cleaning products and materials. Our shop is located at: 434 Saratoga Rd, Glenville, NY 12302. Hours are Mon.-Fri., 8am-3pm, and we will have an outdoor drop box. For more information please call us at (518) 384-DUST. (P)
Seeking Crafters BURNT HILLS – Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake O’Rourke Middle School PTA is accepting applications from crafters for its 33rd annual Craft Fair to be held on Saturday, November 5, from 10am-4pm. The event takes place in the middle school cafeteria and two gymnasiums, and 7’x12’ spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Crafters are required to have a NYS Tax ID and display it the day of the event. Foster Parent Informational Meeting SARATOGA COUNTY – A Foster/Adoptive Parent Information Meeting will be held on September 27, 4pm, at the Services Building, 152 West High Street, Ballston Spa.
